the locking piece is a bolt and a nut, and the bolt penetrates through the cover plate 22 and the growth hole 4 of the tray 21 and then is in threaded connection with the nut.

In a possible embodiment of this embodiment, the open container 1 and the tray 21 are open basins, and the cross-sectional shapes of the open container 1 and the tray 21 are convex polygons with included angles.
By the above possible implementation manner of this embodiment, the convex polygon with an included angle is the polygon with an included angle facing outward, and the sum of the included angles is (n-2) × 180 ° (n is greater than or equal to 3 and n is an integer), including a triangle, a quadrangle and a regular polygon; at least one part of the convex polygon with the included angle is provided with a chamfer, and the chamfer is used for reducing the injury of sharp edges to cats.

9. A seed germinator according to claim 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8 wherein the cover plate (22) is provided with a lifting aid to facilitate separation of the cover plate (22) from the open container (1) or tray (21).
10. Seed germinator according to claim 9, wherein the cross sectional shape of the open container (1), tray (21) and growing hole (4) is one of circular, oval, rectangular, rounded rectangular and angled convex polygon.
