Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure. It is to be understood that the described embodiments are merely illustrative of some, but not all embodiments of the disclosure. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments disclosed herein without making any inventive step, are intended to be within the scope of the present disclosure.
In the display process of the display panel, the size of the display area of the display panel can be different according to different actual display pictures, and in the prior art, when the brightness of the display picture is adjusted, the display picture can not be adjusted in real time according to the size change of the display area, so that the picture brightness is not ideal.
As shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is a method for adjusting the brightness of a display panel according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, where the method includes the following steps:
s100: acquiring a display picture of a current frame image, and acquiring picture gray scale data corresponding to the display picture according to the display picture;
in this step, when the display panel displays a picture in the using process, the size of the display picture may change in real time, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, since the embodiment of the present disclosure may adjust the displayed brightness according to different sizes of the display area, the display picture of the current frame image is first obtained, and the picture gray scale data parameters of all pixels corresponding to the frame display picture are obtained according to the obtained data of the display picture.
Meanwhile, when the display panel displays, a plurality of pictures can be displayed simultaneously in the display area of the same display screen, and the gray-scale values of pixels in different display pictures are different. And respectively counting the gray scale data values of the corresponding pictures in each display area for the plurality of display pictures.
Furthermore, when the gray scale data value of the corresponding picture in each display area is counted, the total number of pixels in the display picture is counted and recorded as M.
S101: counting the number N of black pixels in the display picture according to the picture gray scale data;
further, after the statistics of the image gray-scale data parameters of the pixels corresponding to the display image is completed, the number N of the pixels of the black pixels required by the embodiment of the present disclosure is obtained according to the obtained gray-scale data parameters.
Specifically, when the number N of pixels of the black pixel is counted, a pixel having a pixel luminance of 0 in the display screen is selected from the grayscale data parameters, and a pixel having a grayscale value of 0 in all of the R component, the G component, the B component, and the W component of the grayscale of the display screen is counted, that is, grayscale data { R, G, B, W } of the corresponding pixel is {0,0,0,0 }.
Preferably, when the number of the pixels of the black pixel is obtained through statistics, the statistics can be performed through other manners, for example, a comparison parameter a is set, and when each gray-scale data value of the obtained pixel is smaller than the comparison parameter a, the pixel can be determined as the black pixel.
S102: calculating and obtaining the area size S of a display area corresponding to the display picture according to the pixel number N of the black pixels;
and after counting the number N of all black pixels in the display picture in the display area, calculating the area of the display area according to the number N of the black pixels.
As shown in fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating a flow of calculating an area of a display area according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
When the area size of the display area is calculated, according to a calculation formula of the area size S: and S is 1- (N/M). And N is the number of the black pixels obtained through statistics, M is the number of the total pixels in the display area, and both N and M are positive integers.
With the above calculation formula, as the obtained value of S is smaller, the area representing the display region of the display panel is smaller. When S is equal to 1, it means that the display panel is full-screen at this time, and the display screen occupies the entire display screen.
S103: calculating and obtaining a picture brightness adjusting coefficient curve of the display area corresponding to the display picture;
specifically, the area size S of the display region of the display panel is obtained in step S102, and then, the luminance adjustment coefficient curve is obtained by a two-point linear interpolation method or a multi-point linear interpolation method, and when the luminance adjustment coefficient curve is obtained by calculation, the method is not limited to the method provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure.
Furthermore, when the brightness adjustment coefficient curve provided by the embodiment of the disclosure is obtained through calculation, a reference weight may be further set, where the weight value may be determined according to a situation when an actual product is displayed, and then the obtained brightness adjustment coefficient value and the weight are calculated, so that a calculation result is more accurate, and a deviation of the brightness adjustment coefficient is reduced.
S104: adjusting the display picture of the display panel in real time according to the picture brightness adjusting coefficient curve;
as shown in fig. 3 and 4, fig. 3-4 are graphs illustrating brightness adjustment coefficients provided by the embodiment of the disclosure. Fig. 3 is a graph showing a luminance adjustment coefficient obtained by a two-point linear interpolation method, and fig. 4 is a graph showing a luminance adjustment coefficient obtained by a multi-point linear interpolation method.
When the brightness adjustment coefficient curve is obtained, a brightness adjustment coefficient Y is set first, and then the corresponding relation between the brightness adjustment coefficient Y and the area of the display area is found out. Specifically, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, for the luminance adjustment coefficient curves in fig. 3 and fig. 4, when the frame luminance adjustment coefficient Y is less than 25% or when the frame luminance adjustment coefficient Y is greater than 90%, the frame luminance adjustment coefficient value Y in the corresponding area is the same, i.e. it is equivalent that the curve in the area is parallel to the coordinate X axis.
The indicated 25% and 90% in the embodiment of the present disclosure are not fixed parameter values, but may be other values, and the specific values may be parameterized according to the display effect of the actual product.
Preferably, each different display area S corresponds to a brightness adjustment coefficient, so that the image display brightness in the display area can be adjusted according to the correspondence. When the area of the display picture is large, the overall brightness of the picture is reduced, and when the area of the display picture becomes small, the original display brightness is kept unchanged, so that a good adjusting effect is achieved.
Further, the embodiment of the disclosure also provides a display device. As shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic view of a display device according to an embodiment of the disclosure. The display device comprises an area calculation module 500, a brightness adjustment coefficient module 501, a picture brightness adjustment module 502 and a display panel driving module 503 which are connected in sequence.
The area calculation module 500 is configured to calculate an area size S of the display area, and the brightness adjustment module 501 is configured to output a brightness adjustment coefficient of a corresponding picture according to the area size S of the display area; further, the image brightness adjusting module 502 outputs the corresponding display brightness according to the brightness adjusting coefficient, and finally the display panel driving module 503 receives the data signal transmitted by the image brightness adjusting module 502 and outputs the display image on the display panel. In the brightness adjustment coefficient module 501, the area size S of the corresponding display region corresponds to the brightness adjustment coefficient in a one-to-one relationship.
When the display device provided by the embodiment of the disclosure adjusts the brightness of the display picture, when the area of the display area is larger, the overall brightness of the picture is reduced; when the display area of the display area is smaller, the brightness of the original picture is kept. Therefore, the display picture is accurately adjusted, and the display effect is ensured.
The foregoing describes in detail a method for adjusting the brightness of a display panel and a display device provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, and the above description of the embodiments is only used to help understand the technical solution and the core idea of the present disclosure; those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that: it is to be understood that modifications may be made to the arrangements described in the embodiments above, and such modifications or alterations may be made without departing from the spirit of the respective arrangements of the embodiments of the present disclosure.
