Abstract

The invention relates to an applicator (1) for applying a gel-like cleaning agent (4) to a surface. The applicator (1) has: -a body (2) for containing said cleaning agent (4), said body (2) having at a first end (5) at least one outlet (6) for said cleaning agent (4); and-a plunger (3) for pressing out the cleaning agent (4) through the outlet, the plunger (3) comprising a plunger base (10) and a plunger handle (11), wherein the plunger base (10) can be pressed into the body (2) from a second end (7) of the body (2) opposite to the first end (5) to press out the cleaning agent (4), and the plunger handle (11) has a handle surface (15), the handle surface (15) having at least one anti-slip structure (14).

Description

Applicator for applying gel cleanser

The present invention relates to an applicator for applying a gel-like cleaning agent to a surface, in particular the inside of a toilet bowl.

Cleaners are known to be installed in toilet bowls with cages and released gradually. However, a growing number of cleaners do not require cage cages. Such cleaning agents are usually applied as a tacky gel on the surface to be cleaned and left on the surface until used up, eg after a few days.

It is an object of the present invention to provide an applicator for such a gel-like cleanser which is particularly easy to use. In particular, the applicator should be particularly easy to separate from the applied gel after application of the gel.

This object is achieved by the subject matter according to claim 1 .

According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an applicator for applying a gel-like cleaning agent to a surface, the applicator having a body for containing the cleaning agent, the body having at a first end a useful At least one outlet opening for the cleaning agent.

Additionally, the applicator has a plunger for pressing out the cleaning agent through the outlet opening, the plunger including a plunger base and a plunger handle, the plunger base being pressable from a second end of the body opposite the first end into the body to press out the cleaning agent, and the plunger handle has a handle surface with at least one anti-slip feature.

Here and in the following, a non-slip structure should be understood as a structure suitable for making it difficult for the user's fingers to slide when the plunger is withdrawn after application of the cleaning agent. In particular, this should be understood as a raised structure, or a structure configured as a depression in the surface and adapted to make it difficult for fingers to slide.

In particular, it has been found that it can often be difficult to withdraw the plunger after application of the viscous gel because of the force required to slide the fingers off the plunger. However, the non-slip structure improves the user's grip on the plunger handle, thus making the applicator easier to use.

Thus, the applicator has the advantage of being particularly easy to use and facilitates easy, clean and quick application of the cleaning agent to the surface.

Due to the non-slip construction, by preventing fingers from slipping, the applicator makes it easier to apply the cleanser even when pressing the applicator against the surface, so there is a better transfer of muscle power to the sticky cleaning compound. Therefore, the non-slip structure improves the operability of the applicator when pressing and when removing.

Alternatively, the anti-slip structure is made of the same material as the plunger handle and is integrally formed with the plunger handle. This structure may advantageously be stamped into or moulded on the plunger handle when the plunger is manufactured. For example, the structures may be designed as protrusions, grooves, grooves or raised structures (eg lines) or combinations thereof.

Specifically, if the at least one anti-skid structure is designed as a raised structure and has an upper edge and a lower edge, the lower edge faces the outlet opening and the upper edge faces the lower edge, the upper and lower edges respectively serve as a stop, the upper edge Prevents slippage when the applicator is pressed, and the lower edge prevents slippage when the applicator is withdrawn. Specifically, if the hole has an upper edge and a lower edge, the lower edge facing the outlet opening and the upper edge facing the lower edge, the upper and lower edges respectively act as stops, the upper edge preventing slippage when the applicator is withdrawn , while the lower edge prevents sliding when the applicator is pressed. The edges may preferably be rectangular.

Specifically, a single circular hole may be provided.

The advantage of such a hole is that sliding is prevented very effectively. The plunger can also be pivoted about the central axis between the thumb and index finger to place the applicator vertically on the curved surface when the applicator is placed thereon to apply the cleaning agent.

The plunger handle is in particular disc-shaped. This should be understood to mean, for example, a flat but not necessarily round shape of the plunger handle, so that the plunger handle can be clamped particularly well between two fingers.

The disc-shaped plunger handle is oriented in the direction of movement of the plunger. The direction of movement of the plunger is to be understood as the direction in which the plunger is pressed into the body when the cleaning agent is applied. The plunger is typically pulled in the opposite direction to remove the applicator after application. Here and in the following, the orientation of the disc-shaped plunger handle is understood to mean that the vector of the direction of motion lies in the plane of the plunger handle.

The body of the applicator has spacers at its first end for placement on the surface to be provided with the cleaning agent. The advantage of this is that the gel-like viscous cleaner no longer adheres to the inner wall of the body after application, but only to the pad, so that the applicator can be completely removed before withdrawing from the cleaner Press out the cleaner. Thus, the force applied for pull-out is reduced and application is easier.

An alternative applicator 1 is used to apply a gel-like cleaning agent to a surface (not shown in the drawings), for example the inside of a toilet bowl. The applicator 1 is divided into a main body 2 and a plunger 3 .

The body 2 has a side wall 8 which surrounds the interior filled with the cleaning agent 4 . The body 2 has several outlet openings 6 at its first end 5 . The body 2 is open at its second end 7 and closed by the plunger 3 .

At its first end 5, the main body 2 also has several pads 9 by means of which the main body is placed on the surface to be provided with the cleaning agent.

The plunger 3 is divided into a plunger base 1 which has been accommodated in the body 2 before application of the cleaning agent 4 and is movable in the body 2 to press out the cleaning agent 4 . The plunger 3 also has a disc-shaped plunger handle 11 by which the plunger 3 can be gripped in order to force the cleaning agent 4 out of the body 2 . Several anti-slip structures 14 are provided on the handle surface 15 of the plunger handle 11, which structures are designed as protrusions 12 in the first embodiment.

In Figure 1 only one handle surface 15 of the plunger handle 11 is visible. The second handle surface 15 is provided opposite on the rear side (not visible in FIG. 1 ) of the disc-shaped plunger handle 11 and is likewise provided with the protrusions 12 .

In order to apply the cleaning agent 4 , the body 2 is placed with its pad 9 on the surface to be provided with the cleaning agent 4 . For this purpose, the applicator 1 is held by the plunger handle 11 . Then, by pressing the plunger base 10 into the body 2, the cleaning agent 4 is forced out of the body 2 through the outlet opening 6 to be applied to the surface. The side wall 8 of the main body 2 serves as a guide for the plunger base 10 .

If the cleaning agent 4 has been completely applied to the surface, the applicator 1 is withdrawn from the applied viscous cleaning agent 4 by pulling the plunger handle 11 to remove it from the surface again. The anti-slip structure 14 prevents fingers from sliding.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the applicator 1 according to the invention, which differs from the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 in that the anti-slip structure 14 is designed to penetrate the circular hole 13 of the plunger handle 11 . The holes 13 also improve finger grip on the handle surface 15 when the applicator 1 is withdrawn. It is also possible to pivot the applicator between two fingers about the central axis of the circular hole 13, eg to place the applicator vertically on a curved surface.

1. An applicator (1) for applying a gel-like cleaning agent (4) to a surface, wherein the applicator (1) has:

-a body (2) for containing the cleaning agent (4), wherein the body (2) has at a first end (5) at least one outlet opening (6) for the cleaning agent (4);

-a plunger (3) for pressing out the cleaning agent (4) through the outlet opening (6), wherein the plunger (3) comprises a plunger base (10) and a plunger handle (11), wherein the plunger base (10) is pressable into the body (2) from a second end (7) of the body (2) opposite to the first end (5) for pressing out the cleaning agent (4), and wherein the plunger handle (11) has a handle surface (15), the handle surface (15) having at least one anti-slip structure (14),

wherein the at least one anti-slip structure (14) is designed as a hole (13) through the plunger handle (11), and wherein the hole (13) is circular,

wherein the plunger handle (11) is disc-shaped, and wherein the disc-shaped plunger handle (11) is oriented in the direction of movement of the plunger, and

wherein the body (2) has at its first end (5) a number of pads (9) for placing on a surface to be provided with the cleaning agent (4).
