Detailed Description
Reference in the detailed description to "an embodiment" means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment can be included in at least one embodiment of the invention. The appearances of the same phrases in various places in the specification are not necessarily limited to the same embodiment, but are to be construed as independent or alternative embodiments to other embodiments. In light of the disclosure of the embodiments provided by the present invention, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that the embodiments described in the present invention can have other combinations or variations consistent with the concept of the present invention.
In the description of the present application, it is to be noted that, unless explicitly stated or limited otherwise, the terms "mounted," "coupled," and "connected" are to be construed broadly, e.g., as meaning either a fixed connection, a removable connection, or an integral connection; can be mechanically or electrically connected; they may be connected directly or indirectly through intervening media, or they may be interconnected between two elements. The specific meaning of the above terms in the present application can be understood in a specific case by those of ordinary skill in the art.
As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the present embodiment provides a display 1 electrically connected to a computer host 2 capable of transmitting a power signal (not shown). The electrical connection referred to herein is preferably for the purpose of transmitting the power signal via a physical transmission line/connection line, and in other minor embodiments, the electrical connection may transmit the power line number via wireless transmission.
The display 1 includes a backlight 11 and a driving circuit board 12 electrically connected to the backlight 11, where the driving circuit board 12 includes a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) driving chip 121 and at least one serial port 122 electrically connected to the PWM driving chip 121. The PWM driving chip 121 is electrically connected to the computer main unit 2 through the serial port 122. When detecting that the serial port 122 has a power signal, the PWM driving chip 121 turns off the backlight 11. Specifically, when the PWM driving chip 121 determines that the power signal 22 receives the power signal 22 of the computer host 2 through the at least one serial port 122, the brightness of the backlight 11 is turned on or off.
Specifically, the Display 1 includes, but is not limited to, a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), a Plasma Display Panel (PDP), a LED Display screen (LED), or a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). The backlight 11 includes, but is not limited to, an electroluminescent sheet (EL), an organic electroluminescent sheet (OLED), a cold cathode fluorescent tube (CCFL), and a Light Emitting Diode (LED).
As shown in fig. 3, the PWM driving chip 121 further includes a signal processing circuit 122 and a PWM control circuit 123 coupled to the signal processing circuit 122. The signal processing circuit 233 is configured to convert the power signal 22 transmitted by the host computer 2 through the serial port 122 into a level signal 23, and then send the level signal to the PWM control circuit 123.
The level signal 23 includes a low level signal, and when the PWM control circuit 123 receives the low level signal or no signal, the PWM control circuit 123 does not output a signal to turn off the brightness of the backlight 11. The level signal 23 comprises a high level signal, and when the PWM control circuit 123 receives the high level signal, the PWM control circuit 123 outputs a signal 24 to turn on the brightness of the backlight 11.
Specifically, when the host computer 2 sends a signal, the power pin (not shown) in the serial port 122 receives the signal, and the voltage is, for example, 5V (volt), and then the signal is transmitted to the PWM control circuit 123. At this time, the signal processing circuit 122 converts the power supply signal 22 into a high level signal, and the PWM chip 121 outputs the signal to turn on the backlight 11. When the host computer 2 is turned off or in a standby state, there is no signal transmission, i.e. the serial port 122 does not receive the power signal 22. In other words, the power signal 22 is a low level signal, and the PWM chip 121 does not output the signal, so the backlight 11 is turned off. Thus, when the computer 2 is started/operated, the backlight source 11 is bright; the host computer 2 is turned off/not operated, and the backlight 11 is turned off, thereby achieving the purpose of effectively saving energy and cost and avoiding unnecessary energy waste.
Moreover, the application also provides a desktop computer, which comprises a computer host 2 and a display 1. The computer host 2 includes at least one connection port 21. The display 1 is electrically connected with the computer host 2, and the display 1 comprises a backlight source 11 and a driving circuit board 12 electrically connected with the backlight source 11. The driving circuit board 12 includes a PWM driving chip 121 and at least one serial port 122 electrically connected to the PWM driving chip 121. The PWM driving chip 121 is electrically connected to the connection port 21 of the computer main unit 2 through the serial port 122. Specifically, the PWM driving chip 121 determines that the power signal 22 receives the power signal 22 of the host computer 2 through the at least one serial port 122, so as to turn on or off the brightness of the backlight 11.
As shown in fig. 2, the at least one connection port 21 includes a Video Graphics Array (VGA) Interface, a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) Interface, a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), a displayport (dp) Interface, a Universal Serial Bus (USB) Interface, and a USB Type-C Interface. The at least one serial port 122 includes a Video Graphics Array (VGA) interface, a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) interface, a high-definition multimedia interface, a displayport (dp) interface, a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface, and a USB Type-C interface.
Specifically, the at least one connection port 21 is electrically connected to the at least one serial port 122 through a transmission line (not shown). The connection port 21 or the serial port 122 has a power pin (not shown) therein, the voltage of the power pin is usually 5V, and the wiring of the PWM driving chip 121 is connected to the power pin of any serial port 122 to control the on/off of the backlight 11. Please refer to the above embodiments for other structures and connection relationships of the display 1, which are not described herein.
Therefore, the backlight source 11 in the display 1 and the driving circuit board 122 including the PWM driving chip 121 are electrically connected to the computer host 2 through the serial port 122, and when the PWM driving chip 121 detects that the serial port 122 transmits a power signal, the backlight source 11 is turned off. Therefore, the invention can reduce the waste of individuals and public property while not increasing the cost. The most important meaning is that the service life of the display 1 is prolonged while energy sources are effectively saved and resources are wasted.
In summary, although the present application has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, the above-described preferred embodiments are not intended to limit the present application, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present application, so that the scope of the present application shall be determined by the appended claims.
