Abstract

Description

带衬贮槽的封闭组件及装有该组件的机动车
1.发明的领域
本发明涉及具有衬垫的贮槽,特别涉及具有塑料衬垫的贮槽,用于贮存加压气体燃料。
2.现有技术的说明
压力容器被广泛用于贮存压力下的液体和气体。压力容器的一个不断增长的应用是将它们用于贮存替代性燃料,诸如天然气或丙烷,这些替代性燃料用于机动车,诸如汽车中。日益认为,作为机动车燃料,天然气和丙烷比汽油更为可取。因此,已设计出各种措施,通过改装汽油燃料机动车,以便应用天然气或丙烷以替代汽油,从而将汽油燃料机动车改造成天然气燃料或丙烷燃料机动车。此外,目前正在生产的机动车被设计成应用天然气或丙烷作为燃料源进行运行。
用于贮存天然气和丙烷的容器最好装备有塑料衬垫,它用于保持被贮存的气体不会泄漏。塑料衬垫最好覆盖压力容器的整个内部表面,包括颈部部分在内,颈部部分限定装入燃料用的入口孔。为防止燃料在入口孔泄漏,可应用O形圈或其它密封装置。
最初由发明人考虑的密封装置的一个实例示于图3中。如图3所示,密封装置包括塑料衬垫300,它覆盖着压力容器304的内表面302。塑料衬垫300的接头部分306覆盖着极地凸台310的颈部区域308的内周边。O形环312倚靠在颈部区域308的边缘(未标号)上,并在装配体314朝向颈部区域308运动,用以将O形圈312压于其间时,被推向颈部区域308。装配体314和极地凸台310具有各自的互补螺纹表面区域,它们在316处相互面对和啮合。装配体314相对极地凸台310的旋转运动使装配体314机械地啮合至压力容器304上,并相对塑料衬垫300的接头部分306密封装配体314,因为O形环312放置于其间,从而建立气密密封。
虽然图3所示的结构在理想运行条件下是可接受的,但在极端温度和压力条件下,诸如在恶劣气候时遇到的那些条件,塑料衬垫300趋于收缩,引起衬垫300移开装配体314。塑料衬垫300的边缘与极地凸台310的分离中断了由O形圈312建立的气密密封,引起燃料,特别是气态燃料从压力容器304漏向外部环境。
因此,在本技术中提供一种简单的密封装置将是一个显著的进展,这种装置在将装配体啮合至贮存容器上时,在塑料衬垫与端部装配件之间形成气密密封,它能承受高的负载压力和极端运行温度,诸如从约-40℃(-40°F)至约82.2℃(180°F)。
                发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提出上述问题,并通过提供一种加压气体贮存组装件以达到本技术的上述进步,这种加压气体贮存组装件装备有改进的封闭组装件,它能阻止塑料衬垫与压力容器的极地凸台相分离。
根据本发明的原理,以上及其它目标通过一种包含压力容器的加压气体贮存组装件加以完成,该压力容器既包括限定气体贮存腔的内表面,又包括一个限定入口孔的颈部区域,入口孔与气体贮存腔进行流体联通。衬垫至少覆盖压力容器的部分内表面,最好覆盖压力容器的全部内表面。衬垫的接头部分在终止于环形凸缘之前,伸入在压力容器的颈部区域中,环形凸缘设置在颈部区域内,且正面离开气体贮存腔。环形的O形圈放置在压力容器的颈部区域中,用以倚靠在衬垫的环形凸缘上。
组装件还包括可联装的装配体,用于密封和开启入口孔。装配体包括头部分,它在一端终止于环形台肩;以及延伸物,它从装配体的头部分突出,用以限定环形台肩的内周边。当装配体插入于压力容器的颈部区域中时,延伸物安放在衬垫的接头部分中,并与之啮合,用以阻止使用期间装配体与衬垫的不符要求的脱开。当装配体运动进入与衬垫的接头部分的机械啮合时,装配体的环形台肩同时与衬垫的环形凸缘进入紧密的贴近,这样,倚靠在环形凸缘上的O形圈被置于环形台肩与环形凸缘之间,并根据环形凸缘与环形台肩的贴近程度,而被压缩于其间。从而O形圈在衬垫与装配体之间建立了气密密封,这样就防止了气体从压力容器漏出。
发明的密封组装件可装备在常规的贮槽中,包括那些具有圆柱形形状的贮槽,以及下述的那类整合槽。组装件可安装在各类机动车中,包括,但不是限于,汽车、载重车、赛车、军用车等。此外,组装件可用于贮槽,特别是手提式贮槽,诸如潜水呼吸用贮槽和消防队员使用的氧贮槽。
本发明的其它目标和方面将在结合附图,研究解释本发明原理的说明书和所附权利要求时,对本技术的技术人员变得更为清晰。

            发明的详细说明
现请更具体地参考附图,其中图1展示了一种加压气体贮存组装件,它总体用标号100标明。组装件100的压力容器102的端部部分以剖面加以表示。压力容器102中的孔限定边缘103限定入口孔106,它使流体得以输入压力容器102的气体贮存腔104,和从气体贮存腔104中取出。
衬垫108具有径向外表面108b,并以径向外表面108b接触压力容器102除入口孔106附近区域外的整个内表面102a,在入口孔106的附近,极地凸台110的径向伸展部分110a放置在压力容器102的径向内表面102a的相邻部分与衬垫108的径向外表面108b之间。极地凸台110的纵向伸展部分110b伸展通过入口孔106,并离开气体贮存腔104,用以限定容器102的颈部部分。极地凸台110的纵向伸展部分110b包含刻有螺纹的下内表面区域117以及可任选的刻有螺纹的径向内表面区域132。
衬垫108的径向内表面108a限定气体贮存腔104。塑料衬垫108的接头部分112接触极地凸台110的纵向伸展部分的内表面(未标号),接头部分112突入并通过入口孔106,并终止于环形突缘114,该环形突缘114的正面离开气体贮存腔104一定距离。在所展示的实施例中,衬垫108的接头部分112具有螺纹的径向外表面区域116。接头部分112在极地凸台110中伸入一个相当的距离,以便使接头部分112的螺纹表面区域116与极地凸台110的互补的螺纹下径向内表面区域117进行机械连锁。但是,接头部分112没有在极地凸台中伸得那么远,因此不会覆盖极地凸台110的螺纹的上径向内表面区域132。
衬垫108的接头部分112还具有螺纹的径向内表面区域130,其目的将在下文更详细地加以说明。
图1表示装配体120安放在入口孔106中,用以气密地密封压力容器102。装配体120包括头部分121以及管状延伸物122,它从头部分121向外突出。环形台肩124限定于头部分121的端部,且环形台肩124具有由管状延伸物122限定的内周边。形成于环形台肩124内的是一个环形密封套或凹陷126,其尺寸制成可安放可压缩的O形圈128。装配体120的管状延伸物122具有螺纹的下径向外表面区域131。可任选的是,装配体120的头部分121具有螺纹的上径向外表面区域133。
如图1所示,当装配体120安放至入口孔106中时,管状延伸物122伸展通过入口孔106,以便向着气体贮存腔104凸出,而环形台肩124面向环形凸缘114。装配体120相对极地凸台110在适当拧紧方向的旋转机械地将(a)接头部分112的螺纹的径向内表面区域130与管状延伸物122的互补的、螺纹的下径向外表面区域131连锁,以及将(b)极地凸台110的螺纹的上径向内表面区域132与装配体120的头部分121的互补的、螺纹的上径向外表面区域133连锁。
当装配体120相对极地凸台110的旋转持续时,机械连锁被拧紧,衬垫108的相对的环形凸缘114与环形凹陷126相互更紧密地贴近。最好,环形凹陷126的高度略小于O形圈128的厚度(在未受压状态下),从而,当装配体120通过入口孔106进一步运动至一个位置,在此位置上环形台肩124倚靠在环形凸缘114上时,O形圈128压紧(进入受压状态)在台肩124与凸缘114之间。这样,O形圈128用以在衬垫108的凸缘114与装配体120的环形凹陷126之间形成气密密封。
装配体120具有中心孔134,它成形成贯穿其中,用于除其它外,还包括向压力容器102中充装气体,和从压力容器102中取出气体。中心孔134包含螺纹的入口136,它被建造和配置成得以与软管或管子(未表示)的螺纹外表面相啮合。
实现所示实施例的一个优越性是,O形圈128形成的气密密封不易于在极端温度或压力下失效。反之,当衬垫108,特别是塑料衬垫,随着低温而收缩,或接头部分112被内部高压从装配体120推开时,由螺纹表面区域130和131形成的主要机械连锁(以及可任选的,但最好具有的,由螺纹表面区域132和133形成的辅助机械连锁)阻止衬垫108的凸缘114从装配体120的台肩124移开足以使O形圈128移出压缩、破坏气密密封的距离。结果,O形圈128保持在压缩之下,从而密封保持完整。
密封装置特别适用于塑料衬砌贮槽,具体适用于在图2中以标号200表示的一类整合槽。在分解视图中描述的是O形圈228和装配体220。相似的槽,以及本发明可能应用的槽的其它非限定性实例披露于1997年9月3日存档的美国专利5577630和PCT/US/15116中,其全部披露已通过参考包含于文中,从而它们与本说明书相一致和兼容。
压力容器最好采用由Cordant Techno1ogies,Inc.提供的TCR聚酯胶片强化的玻璃丝或碳丝缠绕的复合材料制成。
塑料衬垫可由热塑性或热定型材料制成。成形塑料衬垫的合适材料包含例如聚酰胺,诸如尼龙-6,尼龙-11和尼龙12;聚乙烯;聚丙烯;聚氨基甲酸酯;以及它们的混合物和共聚物。衬垫还可包括金属或金属合金。
制作极地凸台的代表性材料包含例如金属,诸如铝;合金,诸如钢;和/或塑料。
制作O形圈的代表性材料包含例如腈基化合物,诸如NBR;乙烯丙烯共聚物;碳氟化合物;氟硅酮;聚氯丁橡胶;以及硅酮。
制作装配体的代表性材料包含例如金属,诸如铝;合金,诸如钢;和/或塑料。
所示实施例的各种修正和改变物均位于本发明及所附权利要求的范围之内。
例如,极地凸台可与塑料衬垫和/或压力容器一体地形成。此外,可应用各种其它机械啮合机构作为将装配体啮合至内衬垫的互补螺纹的补充和替代方案。所用的入口孔可大于所示的,以及可应用若干这样的入口孔和封闭组装件。
根据图4和5所示的另一修正方案,在封闭组装件中可应用多闸门装配体420。图4和5中所示的多闸门装配体420具有中心孔434,它伸展通过管状延伸物422,并终止于其上端,该上端与多闸门装配体420的头部分421的上表面421a相隔一定距离。成形于装配体420的头部分421中的是若干(在所示实施例中为6)螺纹入口436a、436b、436c、436d,436e和436f。这些螺纹入口436a-436f可个别地用于各种相应的功能,包括连接至压力调节器、充装管线、排气管线、压力监视装置、分隔容器之间的连接管线等。不用的口用塞子塞住,防止气体从贮存容器内漏出。当然,在装配体中可包含多于或少于6个螺纹入口。
多闸门装配体420使装配件得以安装至正确的扭矩水平,并在安装后,便于口与输入和输出管线的对齐。这样,由于设备可围绕封闭容器的端部而放置,封闭容器的总长度能缩小。

Claims (20)

1.一种加压气体贮存组装件(100),包括:
压力容器(102),它具有内表面(102a)和气体贮存腔(104),并包括颈部区域,颈部区域提供一个入口孔(106),入口孔(106)与所述气体贮存腔(104)进行流体联通;
衬垫(108),它覆盖所述内表面(102a),并包括接头部分(112),接头部分(112)伸入所述颈部区域中,并终止于环形凸缘(114);
装配体(120);以及
O形圈(128),
其中,装配体(120)包括头部分(121);延伸物(122),它从所述头部分(121)的一个端部伸出;和环形台肩(124),它设置在所述头部分(121)的所述端部上,并且有由所述延伸物(122)限定的内周边,所述环形台肩具有形成于其中的环形凹陷(126),所述延伸物(122)可安放在所述接头部分(112)中,既用以对向所述环形凸缘(114)而放置所述环形台肩(124),又用以使所述延伸物(122)与所述接头部分(112)进行机械啮合;
其中,O形圈(128)可安放在所述环形凹陷(126)中,并可在非压缩状态,此时,O形圈(128)具有足够的厚度,以便伸展在所述环形凹陷(126)之外,与压缩状态之间被压缩;
