Description

Cap for exposing high pony tail plait
Cross Reference of Related Applications
This application claims the benefit of U.S. provisional application No. 62/546,793 filed on 8/17/2017.
Background
1. Field of the invention
the present invention relates to a hat with a back structure for allowing a high ponytail or bun to stand out. More particularly, the present invention relates to hats (caps) and hats (hats) with two rear panels that can be opened and closed with fastener assemblies, creating a generally vertical oval shaped hole.
2. Background of the invention
While baseball caps having a common shape allow users to extend their ponytail, they generally limit the position of the ponytail. That is, in a conventional baseball cap, the ponytail can only protrude through the space between the inverted "U" shapes between the two back pieces and the fastener.
Based on the focus group study, it is aesthetically desirable to identify the choice of a style to wear a baseball cap. In most cases, consumers wear baseball caps with their hair down or tied into a ponytail located in the bottom center of the back of their head (i.e., at the nape of their neck). Currently, there are caps that solve this problem by simply cutting a hole in the "U" shape.
However, conventional hats have some drawbacks, particularly with respect to lack of ease of use. When tying hair into a high pony tail, it is difficult to put on a hat. Furthermore, pulling the ponytail outward through such a small hole in the bottom of the cap requires some effort and can damage the hair. Therefore, it is also difficult to put on and take off the cap without damaging the hairstyle.
Accordingly, such an improved hat is highly desirable: enables the user to comb the ponytail style without injury or discomfort and provides ease of use.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention relates to a cap that provides space for a user's ponytail or bun to style, and in particular, to a ponytail or bun that is located between the middle and upper portions of the back of the user's head. Advantageously, the present invention provides a hat that enables a user to wear and hold a ponytail or bun while comfortably and easily wearing or removing the hat without damaging the hairstyle or damaging the quality of the hair.
In accordance with one aspect of the present invention,
These and other aspects, features and advantages of the present invention will be described or become apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, which is to be read in connection with the accompanying drawings.

It should be understood that the drawings are for purposes of illustrating the concepts of the invention and are not necessarily the only possible configuration for illustrating the invention.
Detailed Description
A hat in accordance with one aspect of the present invention may be worn by a user, and at the same time, the hat enables the user to easily and neatly comb their head into the form of a 'tall' ponytail or bun, i.e., where the ponytail or bun protrudes from a generally rearward region of the head between the top and bottom of the head.
Advantageously, a hat according to one aspect of the present invention provides unique ease of use for a user to easily put on and take off from the head in a comfortable manner without pulling on the hair, destroying the hair style, or requiring the user to unwrap and return their hair style (ponytail or bun).
Further, such a hat according to an aspect of the present invention not only provides comfort to the user, but also enhances aesthetic appeal by raising and improving the support of the pony tail/bun and provides a neat appearance.
An exemplary hat 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention is shown and will be described with reference to the various views of fig. 1-3. According to one embodiment, the hat 100 comprises a plurality of panels that may include two contiguous front panels, including a first front panel 101 and a second front panel 103, each connected to a respective left side panel 105 and right side panel 107. The brim structure 109 may be optionally attached to at least a portion of the front panels 101, 103 to provide anti-glare protection.
Each side panel 105, 107 includes a respective outer edge 109, 111. The first outer edge 109 of the left side panel 105 abuts and is secured to the first back panel 113. The second outer edge 111 of the right side panel 107 abuts and is secured to the second back panel 115.
The first back panel 113 and the second back panel 115 may be releasably attachable to each other via a fastener assembly 117. Such fastener components 117 may include, for example, hook and loop fastening systems, eyes and hooks, snaps, and the like.
The hat 100 may be constructed of one or more materials having suitable properties for the desired application, such as any variety of natural and/or synthetic fibrous products, including cotton, polyester, wool, and any combination thereof, and may include the following features: such as a mesh sheet, elasticized sheet, elastic fabric, etc.
fig. 2 depicts a view of the two rear panels 113, 115 in isolation. In one exemplary embodiment, each rear panel 113, 115 includes five sides. For example, the left side rear panel 113 includes a first side 201, a second side 202, a third side 203, a fourth side 204, and a fifth side 205. The right side rear panel includes a first side 206, a second side 207, a third side 208, a fourth side 209, and a fifth side 210.
in one embodiment, each rear panel 113, 115 is substantially a mirror image of each other. In one embodiment of the finished cap 100, each panel 113, 115 is attached together via at least their respective second edges 202, 207 (e.g., at their top portions) to form a seam 301, as shown in fig. 1 and 3.
In an exemplary embodiment, each second side 202, 207 constitutes the shortest side of all five sides and may comprise a length of, for example, about one inch.
In an exemplary embodiment, elements of the fastener assembly 117 may be secured adjacent to or proximate to each respective fourth side 204, 209. In this embodiment, the rear panels 113, 115 may be detachably secured to or securable to each other at the 'flaps' or tabs formed by the fourth edges 204, 209, which fourth edges 204, 209 may overlap each other to enable the elements of the fastener assembly 117 to be engaged and connected.
in an exemplary embodiment, third sides 203, 208 are curvilinear or substantially curvilinear such that third sides 203, 208 define an elongated aperture 303 when fastener assembly 117 is in the closed position. For example, the aperture 303 may be an elongated oval shape located in a central region of the back of the cap 100 and located between the top 305 and the bottom 307 of the cap 100.
In an exemplary embodiment, each of the first sides 201, 206, second sides 202, 207, fourth sides 204, 209 and fifth sides 205, 210 are substantially straight.
FIG. 3 shows the cap 100 with the flaps 113, 115 in the closed position. For example, as shown, the aperture 303 may be an elongated oval shape that begins below the top center of the apex (top) of the cap 100. In one embodiment, the third sides 203, 208 of the curve of the elliptically shaped opening portions are advantageously designed to keep the elliptical aperture 303 as slim (narrow) as possible. In an exemplary embodiment, the maximum width 309 of the aperture 303 is less than or equal to about 1.75 inches when the tabs 113, 115 are in the closed position.
The apertures 303, due to shape advantages, provide a comfortable and wider opening to allow hair movement, provide increased airflow and improved comfort. In particular, the elongated elliptical apertures 303 allow for significantly improved freedom of movement of hair, and thus allow for comfortable egress and protrusion of hair from the cap 100.
Thus, the cap according to the present invention enables the user's hair to escape more naturally from the definition of the cap and not only restrict the hair in any particular direction or only in a small area.
Fig. 4-5 depict exemplary alternative embodiments of caps 400, wherein the cap 400 includes rear flaps 401, 403 having fastener assemblies 405. The hat 400 may include, for example, a beanie (with or without any edges), which may be made of any material or fabric, such as any natural and/or synthetic fabric, including cotton, polyester, wool, and any combination thereof, and may include the following features: such as a mesh sheet, elasticized sheet, elastic fabric, etc.
In one exemplary embodiment, the rear flaps 401, 403 are secured to one another in an overlapping manner. When in the closed position (as shown in fig. 4), the rear flaps 401, 403 define an aperture 409, which may have an oval or substantially oval shape, and which is located approximately at the midpoint of the rear of the hat 400.
Apertures 409, due to the shape and advantages described, provide a comfortable and wider opening to allow hair movement, to provide increased airflow and improved comfort. In particular, the oval-shaped apertures 409 allow for significantly improved freedom of movement of hair, and thus allow for comfortable egress and protrusion of hair from the cap 400.
Although illustrative embodiments of the present invention have been described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to those precise embodiments, and that various other alternatives, modifications, and improvements may be made by those skilled in the art. Such alterations, modifications, and improvements are intended to be within the scope and spirit of the invention. Accordingly, the foregoing description is by way of example only and is not intended as limiting. The invention is limited only as defined in the following claims and equivalents thereto.
