Abstract
The invention discloses a Profile downloading method and device based on an eSIM card, wherein the method comprises the steps of responding to an authentication request sent by terminal equipment, establishing communication connection with the terminal equipment, wherein the authentication request comprises an access address of a DP+ platform and an AC activation code; the method comprises the steps of sending a Profile file corresponding to an AC activation code to terminal equipment, receiving error information sent by the terminal equipment, judging whether the error information belongs to a state reset set or not, and if the error information belongs to the state reset set, adopting a first strategy to modify constraint conditions of Profile file downloading, wherein the error information corresponds to error events which occur in the process of installing the Profile file by the terminal equipment. The method and the device can pertinently improve the downloading success rate of the Profile file, avoid downloading failure caused by the configuration problem, the weak network problem, the interruption problem and the like of the terminal equipment, improve the use convenience of users and improve the use satisfaction.

According to GSMA (GSM Association)'s technical specification, downloading Profile files by a handset as a terminal communication device requires online authentication and Profile file downloading by LPA (Local Profile Assistant ). With the rapid development of eSIM card technology, the communication terminal device adopts an eSIM card for wireless communication. When a user needs to use a communication terminal to surf the internet, the Profile file needs to be downloaded and installed from the SM-DP+ platform in the equipment networking state so as to realize the eSIM card communication function.
In a typical ESIM application architecture, a mobile operator MNO/MVNO sends an ESIM order request to an SM-dp+ service platform through an ES2+ and the original number is provided by the mobile operator MNO/MVNO, a BPP packet converted into a bundled EID and encrypted Profile packet of an ESIM by an SM-dp+ platform server is stored on the server, then the SM-dp+ platform transmits an AC (activation code) to the MNO/MVNO through an ES2+ interface, the MNO/MVNO informs an End User (End User) through a short message or mail, the User downloads and installs the Profile into an eUICC chip of the mobile phone through an ES8/ES9/ES10 through an authentication and encryption interface, and the esa can activate an esa Profile to enjoy a mobile network package service or disable/delete the Profile from the mobile phone through a disable/delete operation.

The manufacturer may choose to use LPA or eUICC in the device. The SM-DP+ platform encrypts the information of the KI/OPC (such as an authentication key) of the SIM card of the operator to form a Profile file and an AC activation code, then the AC activation code and the access address of the SM-DP+ platform are transmitted to a service provider, the service provider provides the service provider with the information in the form of a QR code, and the terminal user obtains the address of the SM-DP+ platform and the AC activation code provided by the DP+ platform through code scanning.

The SM-DP+ platform sends Profile files required by the terminal equipment to the terminal equipment, and the terminal equipment receives the target files sent by the SM-DP+ platform and downloads and installs the target files.

Specifically, in the process of installing the Profile file, the initial state of the Profile generated by the SM-DP+ platform is Released, the Profile is changed into Downloaded after being started and is changed into INSTALLED after being successfully installed on the mobile phone, and an Error can enter an Error state after being triggered to be Downloaded. The states are specified and executed according to GSMA SGP.22 standard, GSMA SGP.22 standard prescribes that the LPA is allowed to start downloading only when the state is Released, once the LPA successfully initiates a downloading request through SM-DP+ authentication, the SM-DP+ platform starts to push the Profile to the LPA, the state of the platform Profile is changed into Downloaded, and the mobile phone LPA does not go to the final state of successful downloading and installation.
Once Profile on SM-dp+ platform goes from Released to Downloaded state, the process is irreversible. Under the Downloaded state, the SM-DP+ platform supports retry, namely under the Downloaded state, after receiving the LPA ES9+ retry application, the SM-DP+ can issue a profile data packet again. When the terminal equipment has errors in the process of downloading and installing the Profile, the LPA in the equipment can report error events to the SM-DP+ platform, and in general, the SM-DP+ platform does not judge the state of the Profile by taking the event report of the LAP as a criterion, because the LPA events can be lost and can be discarded because the space of the eUICC is full.
And S4, judging whether the error information belongs to a state reset set, if so, adopting a first strategy to modify the constraint condition of Profile file downloading, and if not, keeping the constraint condition unchanged.
Specifically, the state reset set of the SM-dp+ platform includes at least four error messages, and the four error messages are provided with corresponding identification codes according to the specification of the RSP technical specification V2.4, where the identification codes are 10, 11, 13 and 127 respectively. As shown in fig. 2, the identifier code 10 indicates that the eUICC is not sufficiently memory-efficient, the identifier code 11 indicates that the Profile downloading process is interrupted, such as in a weak network environment, the identifier code 13 indicates that the data is not matched, and the identifier code 127 indicates some other unknown error, such as a handset model mismatch or compatibility problem, associated with the network. The above four Error messages directly cause the Profile state to jump from Released to Error, thus preventing the LPA from initiating a secondary download.
The first policy is to increase the number of error event retries in the constraint, and in one example, the first policy is to modify the number of error event retries in the constraint to a first preset value. In one example, the first policy is to modify the download status in the constraint to a second preset value. In this embodiment, the above two policy manners are combined, i.e. the download state is modified first, and then the retry number is increased.

When the terminal equipment fails to download the eSIM Profile file due to self configuration, when the eSIM card is in failure in different network environments, the SM-DP+ platform allows the eSIM card to continue to try to download for a plurality of times when the equipment is halted or restarted, and the secondary download cannot be prevented from being initiated, so that the probability of successful downloading and installing the eSIM Profile file by the terminal equipment is improved, and the opportunity of reinstalling the eSIM card is provided for a terminal user, thereby improving the use convenience of the user and the use satisfaction. Moreover, after the terminal user uses conveniently, the cost input of the customer service team of the operator can be greatly reduced.
