Description

The present application relates to the field of display technology, and in particular to a display device.

Background technique

In recent years, liquid crystal display devices have been widely used due to their advantages of energy saving, large viewing area, and fine image quality. The main structure of a liquid crystal display device includes a display panel, a backlight module, an iron frame, a cover plate and a middle frame. Group, and then assemble the display module and the middle frame to form a liquid crystal display device.

When designing the liquid crystal display device, in order for the middle frame to protect the cover, the middle frame and the cover have a preset distance in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal display device. However, when the above-mentioned display module is assembled with the middle frame, the relative positions of the cover plate and the middle frame in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal display device may fluctuate, for example, the cover plate relative to the middle frame is in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal display device. If it is higher than the preset distance range, the middle frame may not be able to protect the cover, and the cover may be broken.

Contents of the invention

The embodiment of the present application provides a display device, which can solve the risk of cover cracking caused by the cover plate being higher than the middle frame by a preset distance in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal display device during the assembly process of the liquid crystal display device.

In order to achieve the above object, the application adopts the following technical solutions:

In a first aspect, a display device is provided, which includes a display panel, a cover plate, a backlight module, and an outer casing; the display panel includes a display area and a non-display area located around the display area; the cover plate and the display panel are stacked, Located on the light-emitting side of the display panel and connected to the display panel; the backlight module is arranged on the side of the display panel away from the cover plate and connected to the display panel; the outer shell has an accommodation cavity, and the display panel and the backlight module are located in the accommodation cavity; Wherein, the outer casing includes a middle frame and a metal frame, the middle frame and the metal frame are an integrated structure; the metal frame includes a bottom plate and a side plate, the middle frame is located on the side of the side plate of the metal frame away from the display panel, and at least part of the middle frame It is arranged around the metal frame; the backlight module is close to the bottom plate of the metal frame relative to the display panel, and is connected with the metal frame. After the display panel, cover plate, display module and metal frame are assembled together, since the display panel is connected to the cover plate, the display panel is connected to the backlight module, and the backlight module is connected to the metal frame, the display panel and the cover plate pass through The backlight module is indirectly connected to the metal frame, and the relative positions of the display panel, the cover plate, the backlight module and the metal frame are fixed. Since the middle frame and the metal frame are an integrated structure, the relative position of the middle frame and the metal frame in the thickness direction of the display device is fixed, so the relative position of the cover plate and the metal frame in the thickness direction of the display device is also In this way, when the display panel, cover plate, display module, and metal frame are bonded to the middle frame, the cover plate and the middle frame are not easy to control due to the thickness of the dispensing glue or the thickness of the foam glue. The relative position in the thickness direction of the display device fluctuates, thereby ensuring that the middle frame can protect the cover, and avoiding or reducing the risk of the cover being broken.

In a possible implementation, the side plate includes a flat plate and a bent plate; one end of the flat plate is connected to the bottom plate, and the other end is connected to the bent plate; the bent plate includes an extension part and a bent part, and the extension part is connected to the flat plate. And extending in a direction away from the display panel, the bending part is connected to the extension part; wherein, the flat plate and the bending part are arranged on opposite sides of the extension part. At least part of the display panel and the backlight module can be located in the metal frame formed by the base plate, the flat plate, the extension part and the bending part. Here, the extension part can play a role of supporting the display panel, and the flat plate and the bending part can play a role of protecting the display panel and the backlight module.

In a possible implementation manner, the extending portion and the bottom plate are parallel to each other, the bent portion and the flat plate are parallel to each other, and the flat plate and the bottom plate are perpendicular to each other. This facilitates the manufacture of the metal frame, and can make the display device more beautiful.

In a possible implementation manner, the display device further includes a back glue, and the back glue is arranged between the display panel and the extension part of the bent plate. The back glue is provided between the display panel and the extension of the bent plate, which can further strengthen the connection between the display panel and the metal frame.

In a possible implementation manner, the display device further includes a caulk, and the caulk is filled between the display panel and the outer casing, and between the cover plate and the outer casing. Filling the gap between the display panel and the outer casing, and between the cover and the outer casing, can ensure effective sealing between the display panel and the outer casing, and between the cover and the outer casing on a plane parallel to the display panel. Fixing, further strengthening the connection between the display panel and the outer shell, and between the cover plate and the outer shell.

In a possible implementation manner, the orthographic projection of the cover plate on the display panel is located within the boundary of the display panel. In the display device, the frame (also called black border) of the display device refers to the distance from the boundary between the display area and the non-display area of the display panel to the edge of the cover in a direction parallel to the display panel, or, the display The distance from the boundary between the display area and the non-display area of the panel to the edge of the outer casing away from the display panel. In the embodiment of the present application, since the orthographic projection of the cover on the display panel is within the boundary of the display panel, that is, the boundary of the display panel exceeds the boundary of the cover, that is, the non-display area of the display panel is extended beyond the cover , compared to the boundary of the cover plate beyond the display panel, it is equivalent to enlarging the area of the display panel, while the width of the non-display area of the display panel is usually unchanged, so enlarging the area of the display panel is also equivalent to enlarging the area of the display panel. The area of the display area of the panel is enlarged so that the display area fills the entire display device. In this way, along the direction parallel to the display panel, the distance between the boundary between the display area and the non-display area of the display panel and the edge of the cover plate, or, display The distance between the boundary of the display area and the non-display area of the panel and the edge of the outer shell facing away from the display panel will be reduced, so that the frame of the display device can be reduced, the screen-to-body ratio can be increased, and the appearance effect of an ultra-narrow frame can be realized.

In a possible implementation manner, the position where the inner wall of the middle frame is opposite to the display panel is a concave surface, and the concave surface is recessed in a direction away from the display panel. When the display device is designed, along a direction parallel to the display panel, the distance from the edge of the cover plate to the edge of the outer shell away from the display panel is usually fixed. Since in the embodiment of the present application, the inner wall of the middle frame is concave at the position opposite to the display panel, and the concave surface is recessed in the direction away from the display panel, so part of the non-display area of the display panel can be hidden in the above concave surface, so that In the future, the area of the display panel can be further expanded, that is, the area of the display area of the display panel can be further expanded, so that the width of the frame can be further reduced, and the appearance effect of an ultra-narrow frame can be further realized.

In a possible implementation manner, the middle frame and the metal frame are integrally formed through an injection molding process. The middle frame and the metal frame can be formed as an integrated structure through the injection molding process.

In a possible implementation manner, the outer casing further includes a support plate connected to the middle frame, and the support plate is arranged on a side of the metal frame away from the display panel. The support plate can be used to support and protect the metal frame, the display panel, the backlight module, the cover plate and the like.

In a possible implementation manner, the support plate and the middle frame can be an integrated structure, which can simplify the manufacturing process of the outer shell.

In a possible implementation manner, the display device is a mobile phone.

In a second aspect, a display device is provided. The display device includes a display panel, a cover plate and an outer casing; the display panel includes a display area and a non-display area located around the display area; The light output side is connected with the display panel; the outer casing has an accommodating cavity, and the display panel is located in the accommodating cavity; wherein, the orthographic projection of the cover plate on the display panel is located within the boundary of the display panel. Reference may be made to the relevant description of the first aspect above, and details are not repeated here.

In a possible implementation manner, the position where the inner wall surface of the outer casing is opposite to the display panel is a concave surface, and the concave surface is recessed in a direction away from the display panel. Since the upper polarizer 30 is attached to the light emitting side of the display panel 10 , the cover plate 20 is connected to the upper polarizer 30 , that is, the connection between the cover plate 20 and the display panel 10 can be realized. In some examples, as shown in Figure 2, an OCA (optical clear adhesive) 60 can be set between the upper polarizer 30 and the cover plate 20, and the upper polarizer 30 and the cover plate 20 are fixed together by the OCA60 , so as to realize the fixing of the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20 . Similarly, since the lower polarizer 40 is attached to the light-incident side of the display panel 10 , the backlight module 50 is connected to the lower polarizer 40 , that is, the connection between the backlight module 50 and the display panel 10 can be realized. In some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , a first adhesive layer 70 may be provided between the lower polarizer 40 and the backlight module 50 , and the lower polarizer 40 and the backlight module 50 are fixed together through the first adhesive layer 70 , Thus, the fixing of the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 is realized.

13。In the case that the display panel 10 is a liquid crystal display panel, as shown in FIG. The liquid crystal layer 13 in between.

113。As shown in FIG. 4 , the array substrate 11 may include a first substrate 110 and a thin film transistor 111 and a pixel electrode 112 disposed on the first substrate 110 and located in each sub-pixel 1011 . The thin film transistor 111 may include an active layer, a source, a drain, a gate and a gate insulating layer, the source and the drain are respectively in contact with the active layer, and the pixel electrode 112 is electrically connected to the drain of the thin film transistor 111 . In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 4 , the array substrate 11 further includes a common electrode 113 disposed on the first substrate 110 . The pixel electrode 112 and the common electrode 113 may be disposed on the same layer. In this case, both the pixel electrode 112 and the common electrode 113 have a comb structure including a plurality of strip-shaped sub-electrodes. The pixel electrode 112 and the common electrode 113 may also be disposed on different layers. In this case, as shown in FIG. 4 , a first insulating layer 114 is disposed between the pixel electrode 112 and the common electrode 113 . In the case where the common electrode 113 is disposed between the thin film transistor 111 and the pixel electrode 112 , as shown in FIG. 4 , a second insulating layer 115 is further disposed between the common electrode 113 and the thin film transistor 111 . In other embodiments, the cell substrate 12 includes a common electrode 113 disposed on the second substrate 120 .

As shown in FIG. 4 , the box-to-box substrate 12 includes a second substrate 120 and a color filter layer 121 disposed on the second substrate 120. In this case, the box-to-box substrate 12 may also be called a color filter substrate (color filter substrate). filter, referred to as CF). Wherein, the color filter layer 121 at least includes a red photoresist unit located in the red sub-pixel, a green photoresist unit located in the green sub-pixel, and a blue photoresist unit located in the blue sub-pixel. The cell substrate 12 further includes a black matrix pattern 122 disposed on the second substrate 120 , and the black matrix pattern 122 is used to separate the red photoresist unit, the green photoresist unit and the blue photoresist unit.

In order to protect the display panel 10 , as shown in FIG. 2 , the above-mentioned display device 1 further includes an outer case 80 ; the outer case 80 has an accommodating cavity, and both the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 are located in the accommodating cavity.

请继续参考图2,上述外壳体80包括中框(也可以称为前壳)801和金属框802;金属框802包括底板802a和侧板802b,中框801位于金属框802的侧板802b背离显示面板10的一侧,且中框801的至少部分绕金属框一周设置;背光模组50相对于显示面板10靠近金属框802的底板802a,且与金属框802连接。Please continue to refer to FIG. 2 , the above-mentioned outer shell 80 includes a middle frame (also called a front shell) 801 and a metal frame 802; One side of the display panel 10 , and at least part of the middle frame 801 is set around the metal frame;

Here, the material of the metal frame 802 may be metal, such as iron, and in this case the metal frame 802 may be called an iron frame. The material of the middle frame 801 can be plastic, for example.

In addition, the backlight module 50 and the metal frame 802 can be connected through an adhesive layer or a fixing piece, for example.

50。It can be understood that at least part of the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 can be located in the groove formed by the metal frame 802 , and the metal frame 802 is used to protect the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 .

It should be understood that since the display panel 10 is connected to the cover plate 20, the display panel 10 is connected to the backlight module 50, and the backlight module 50 is connected to the metal frame 802, so the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20 are connected to the metal frame 802 through the backlight module 50. Block 802 is indirectly connected.

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the side plate 802b may include a flat plate 8021 and a bent plate 8022 ; one end of the flat plate 8021 is connected to the bottom plate 802a , and the other end is connected to the bent plate 8022 . The bent plate 8022 may include an extension portion 8022a and a bent portion 8022b. The extension part 8022a is connected to the flat plate 8021 and extends in the direction X away from the display panel 10, and the bent part 8022b is connected to the extension part 8022a, wherein the flat plate 8021 and the bent part 8022b are arranged on opposite sides of the extension part 8022a. As shown in FIG. 2 , the flat plate 8021 and the bent portion 8022b are disposed on the upper and lower sides of the extension portion 8022a.

Here, at least part of the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 may be located in the metal frame 802 formed by the bottom plate 802a, the flat plate 8021, the extension portion 8022a and the bending portion 8022b. In addition, the extension part 8022a can function to support the display panel 10 , and the flat plate 8021 and the bending part 8022b can function to protect the display panel 10 and the backlight module 50 .

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the above display device 1 further includes a back glue 90 disposed between the display panel 10 and the extension portion 8022 a of the bent plate 8022 .

It can be understood that, when the display device 1 includes the lower polarizer 40 , the back glue 90 is disposed between the lower polarizer 40 and the extension 8022 a of the bending plate 8022 .

The back glue 90 is provided between the display panel 10 and the extension 8022 a of the bent plate 8022 , which can further strengthen the connection between the display panel 10 and the metal frame 802 . It should be noted that the bottom plate 802a and the flat plate 8021 may be arranged perpendicular to each other, or may not be perpendicular to each other. In addition, the flat plate 8021 and the extension part 8022a may be arranged perpendicular to each other, or may not be perpendicular to each other. In addition, for the extension portion 8022a and the bending portion 8022b in the bending plate 8022, the extension portion 8022a and the bending portion 8022b may be arranged perpendicular to each other, or the extension portion 8022a and the bending portion 8022b may not be perpendicular to each other.

For the convenience of making the metal frame 802 and for the sake of appearance, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the extension part 8022a is parallel to the bottom plate 802a, the bent part 8022b is parallel to the flat plate 8021, and the flat plate 8021 is perpendicular to the bottom plate 802a.

In the embodiment of the present application, the above-mentioned middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 are an integrated structure.

Here, the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 can be formed simultaneously by using an insert injection molding process, so that the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 are an integrated structure.

It should be noted that when the display device 1 is designed, in order to enable the middle frame 801 to protect the cover plate 20, the relative position between the middle frame 801 and the cover plate 20 is in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1 and in parallel There is a preset distance range on the plane of the display panel 10 (ie on the XY plane).

The related art provides a display device. As shown in FIG. 5, when manufacturing the display device 1, firstly, the iron frame, the backlight module 50, the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20 are fixed together by dispensing glue to assemble the display device 1. After the module assembly; next, the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 are bonded by dispensing glue, so as to realize the bonding of the display module and the middle frame 801 . In addition, a side sealant can also be provided between the middle frame 801 and the display module to strengthen the bonding between the display module and the middle frame 801 . When dispensing glue between the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801, the dispensing thickness is not easy to control, and the dispensing thickness may appear uneven, which will cause the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1. The relative position fluctuates, for example, the cover plate 20 is higher than the preset distance range relative to the middle frame 801 in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1, so that the middle frame 801 may not be able to protect the cover plate 20, There is a risk of cracking the cover plate 20 .

The related art also provides a display device. As shown in FIG. 6, when manufacturing the display device 1, firstly, the iron frame, the backlight module 50, the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20 are fixed together by dispensing and assembled into a After displaying the module; Next, set foam glue (also called LCD warehouse back glue) between the iron frame and the middle frame 801, and place the iron frame and the middle frame 801 in the thickness direction of the display device 1 through the foam glue. Fix it, and fill the side gap between the middle frame 801 and the display module with external caulking glue and inner caulking glue, and use the side sealing glue to place the display module and the middle frame 801 on a plane parallel to the display panel 10 Fix the display module to the middle frame 801. Because the foam glue is greatly affected by temperature or pressure, the thickness of the foam glue is not easy to control, so the relative positions of the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1 will fluctuate, for example, the cover plate 20 is relatively The middle frame 801 is higher than the preset distance in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1 , so the middle frame 801 may not be able to protect the cover 20 , and the cover 20 may be broken.

In the embodiment of the present application, after the display panel 10, the cover plate 20, the display module 50 and the metal frame 802 are assembled together, since the display panel 10 is connected to the cover plate 20, the display panel 10 is connected to the backlight module 50, and The backlight module 50 is connected to the metal frame 802, so the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20 are indirectly connected to the metal frame 802 through the backlight module 50, and the relative positions of the display panel 10, the cover plate 20, the backlight module 50 and the metal frame 802 are stable. Since the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 are an integrated structure, the relative positions of the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1 are fixed, so the cover plate 20 and the metal frame 802 are placed in the display device 1. The relative position in the thickness direction Z is also fixed, so that when the display panel 10, the cover plate 20, the display module 50 and the metal frame 802 (that is, the display module) are bonded to the middle frame 801, the Because the thickness of the dispensing glue or the thickness of the foam glue is not easy to control, the relative positions of the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 in the thickness direction Z of the display device 1 fluctuate, thereby ensuring that the middle frame 801 can protect the cover plate 20. Therefore, the risk of cracking of the cover plate 20 can be avoided or reduced. In addition, since the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 are an integrated structure, the process of assembling the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 can be omitted during the assembly process of the display device 1 , simplifying the assembly process of the display device 1 . On this basis, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the above-mentioned display device 1 further includes a caulking glue 100, and the caulking glue 100 is filled between the display panel 10 and the outer casing 80, and between the cover plate 20 and the outer casing. Between 80.

When the outer casing 80 includes a middle frame 801 and a metal frame 802 , the gap filler 100 is filled between the display panel 10 and the middle frame 801 , and between the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 .

In the embodiment of the present application, filling the gap filler 100 between the display panel 10 and the outer casing 80 and between the cover plate 20 and the outer casing 80 can ensure the The effective fixing between the bodies 80 on a plane parallel to the display panel 10 further strengthens the connection between the display panel 10 and the outer shell 80 and between the cover plate 20 and the outer shell 80 . In addition, the caulking glue 100 is provided between the display panel 10 and the outer casing 80 and between the cover plate 20 and the outer casing 80 to reduce the risk of liquid ingress. In addition, the embodiment of the present application can fill the gap between the display panel 10 and the outer casing 80 and between the cover plate 20 and the outer casing 80 with the gap filler 100 by one-time dispensing. Compared with the related technology provided in FIG. 5 , It is necessary to dispense glue between the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 and set side sealant. Compared with the related technology provided in FIG. It can also simplify the manufacturing process of the display device 1 and reduce the production cost.

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 7 , the outer casing 80 may further include a support plate 803 connected to the middle frame 801 , and the support plate 803 is disposed on a side of the metal frame 802 away from the display panel 10 . The support plate 803 can be used to support and protect the metal frame 802 , the display panel 10 , the backlight module 50 , the cover plate 20 and the like.

Here, the support plate 803 and the middle frame 801 can be an integrated structure, which can simplify the manufacturing process of the outer casing 80 . In addition, the support plate 803 and the metal frame 802 can be fixedly connected through the second adhesive layer 150 . The second glue layer 150 can be, for example, foam glue.

Based on the above, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the orthographic projection of the cover plate 20 on the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the display panel 10 , that is, the boundary of the display panel 10 exceeds the boundary of the cover plate 20 .

Here, "orthographic projection" may also be referred to as "perpendicular projection", which means that the parallel projection lines are perpendicular to the projection plane.

L2。It should be noted that, in the display device 1, the frame (also referred to as the black border) of the display device 1 refers to the distance between the display area 101 and the non-display area 102 of the display panel 10 in a direction parallel to the display panel 10. The distance L1 from the boundary to the edge of the cover plate 20 , or the distance L2 from the boundary between the display area 101 and the non-display area 102 of the display panel 10 to the edge of the outer shell 80 away from the display panel 10 .

Referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 , since the orthographic projection of the display panel 10 on the cover plate 20 is located within the boundary of the cover plate 20 when the display device 1 is produced in the related art, that is, the boundary of the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the cover plate 20, Therefore, the frame of the display device 1 is relatively large. In particular, for the related technology provided in FIG. 5 , since the cover plate 20 and the middle frame 801 are bonded by dispensing glue, in order to make the cover plate 20 have a sufficiently large glue dispensing width, the display panel 10 has a certain width relative to the cover plate 20 Therefore, in the related art provided in FIG. 5 , the frame width of the display device 1 is relatively large. In the related technology provided in FIG. 6, although the iron frame and the middle frame are bonded by external caulking glue and internal caulking glue, compared with the related technology provided in FIG. Compared with the related art provided in FIG. 5 , the width of the frame is reduced, but since the boundary of the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the cover plate 20, the width of the frame is still relatively large.

1。In the embodiment of the present application, since the orthographic projection of the cover plate 20 on the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the display panel 10, that is, the boundary of the display panel 10 exceeds the boundary of the cover plate 20, that is to say, the non-display of the display panel 10 The region 102 extends beyond the cover plate 20, which is equivalent to enlarging the area of the display panel 10 relative to the boundary of the cover plate 20 beyond the display panel 10, and the width of the non-display area 102 of the display panel 10 is usually unchanged, so Enlarging the area of the display panel 10 is also equivalent to enlarging the area of the display area 101 of the display panel 10, so that the display area 101 fills the entire display device 1. In this way, along the direction parallel to the display panel 10, the display panel 10 The distance L1 between the boundary between the display area 101 and the non-display area 102 of 10 and the edge of the cover plate 20, or the distance L2 between the boundary between the display area 101 and the non-display area 102 of the display panel 10 and the edge of the outer casing 80 away from the display panel 10 will be reduced, so that the frame of the display device 1 can be reduced to increase the screen-to-body ratio, realize the appearance effect of an ultra-narrow frame, and improve user experience. On this basis, when the orthographic projection of the cover plate 20 on the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the display panel 10 , it is more convenient to assemble the display device 1 if the middle frame 801 and the metal frame 802 are integrated.

On this basis, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 2 , the inner wall of the middle frame 801 is concave at a position opposite to the display panel 10 , and the concave surface is recessed away from the display panel 10 . That is to say, an undercut design is made at the position where the inner wall of the middle frame 801 is opposite to the display panel 10 , that is, a hollow design is made.

It should be noted that, when the display device 1 is designed, along a direction parallel to the display panel 10 , the distance from the edge of the cover plate 20 to the edge of the outer casing 80 facing away from the display panel 10 is usually fixed.

Since in the embodiment of the present application, the position where the inner wall of the middle frame 801 is opposite to the display panel 10 is a concave surface, and the concave surface is recessed in a direction away from the display panel 10, so part of the non-display area 102 of the display panel 10 can be hidden in the above-mentioned concave surface. In this way, the area of the display panel 10 can be further expanded, that is, the area of the display area 101 of the display panel 10 can be further expanded, so that the frame width can be further reduced, the appearance effect of an ultra-narrow frame can be further realized, and the user experience can be further improved. .

10。In some other examples, as shown in FIG. 8 , which is another schematic cross-sectional view along the AA direction in FIG. Panel 10.

示例二Example two

The main difference between the second example and the first example is that the types of the display panels 10 are different. In the second example, the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel.

30。The display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, as shown in FIG. 9, which is another schematic cross-sectional view taken along the AA direction in FIG. The upper polarizer 30 on the light emitting side of the display panel 10 .

Since the upper polarizer 30 is attached to the light emitting side of the display panel 10 , the cover plate 20 is connected to the upper polarizer 30 , that is, the connection between the cover plate 20 and the display panel 10 can be realized. In some examples, as shown in FIG. 4 , an OCA60 can be arranged between the upper polarizer 30 and the cover plate 20, and the upper polarizer 30 and the cover plate 20 are fixed together by the OCA60, thereby realizing the display panel 10 and the cover plate 20. fixed.

50。It can be understood that, since the self-luminous display panel itself can emit light, if the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, the display device 1 does not need to be provided with a backlight module 50 .

On this basis, when the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, as shown in FIG. 10 , the display panel 10 includes a display substrate 14 and an encapsulation layer 15 for encapsulating the display substrate 14 . Here, the encapsulation layer 15 may be an encapsulation film, or an encapsulation substrate.

As shown in FIG. 10 , the above-mentioned display substrate 14 includes a third substrate 140 and a light-emitting device and a driving circuit disposed on the third substrate 140 and located in each sub-pixel 1011, and the driving circuit includes a plurality of thin film transistors 111. The light emitting device includes an anode 141 , a light emitting functional layer 142 and a cathode 143 , and the anode 141 is electrically connected to the drain of the thin film transistor 111 as a driving transistor among the plurality of thin film transistors 111 . The display substrate 14 further includes a pixel definition layer (PDL for short) 145. The pixel definition layer 145 includes a plurality of opening areas, and one light emitting device is disposed in one opening area.

In some embodiments, the light-emitting functional layer 142 includes a light-emitting layer. In some other embodiments, the above-mentioned light-emitting functional layer 142 includes, in addition to the light-emitting layer, an electron transport layer (election transporting layer, ETL for short), an electron injection layer (election injection layer, EIL for short), a hole transporting layer (hole transporting layer). layer (HTL for short) and one or more layers of hole injection layer (HIL for short).

144。As shown in FIG. 10 , the display substrate 14 further includes a flat layer 144 disposed between the thin film transistor 111 and the anode 141 .

It should be noted that, when the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, the display panel 10 can be a flexible display panel (the display device 1 is a flexible display device at this time) or a rigid display panel (the display device 1 is a rigid display panel at this time). device). When the display panel 10 is a flexible display panel, the display panel 10 can realize bendable or foldable display.

On this basis, in order to protect the display panel 10 , as shown in FIG. 9 , the above-mentioned display device 1 further includes an outer case 80 , the outer case 80 has a receiving cavity, and the display panel 10 is located in the receiving cavity. In the case where the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, since the backlight module 50 is not required, there is no need to set a metal frame 802 for fixing the backlight module 50. Therefore, when the display panel 10 is a self-luminous display panel, the housing The body 80 includes a middle frame 801 , excluding the metal frame 802 , and at least part of the middle frame 801 is arranged around the display panel 10 .

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 9 , the outer casing 80 may further include a support plate 803 connected to the middle frame 801 , and the support plate 803 is disposed on a side of the display panel 10 away from the cover plate 20 . The support plate 803 can be used to support and protect the display panel 10 , the backlight module 50 , the cover plate 20 and the like.

Here, the support plate 803 and the middle frame 801 can be an integrated structure, which can simplify the manufacturing process of the outer casing 80 . In addition, the support plate 803 and the display panel 10 can be fixedly connected through the second adhesive layer 150 . The second glue layer 150 can be, for example, foam glue.

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 9 , the orthographic projection of the cover plate 20 on the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the display panel 10 , that is, the boundary of the display panel 10 exceeds the boundary of the cover plate 20 .

When the orthographic projection of the cover plate 20 on the display panel 10 is located within the boundary of the display panel 10 , reference may be made to the description of related technical effects in the first example above, which will not be repeated here.

On this basis, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 9 , the inner wall of the middle frame 801 is concave at a position opposite to the display panel 10 , and the concave surface is recessed away from the display panel 10 .

The position where the inner wall of the middle frame 801 faces the display panel 10 is concave, and when the concave surface is recessed away from the display panel 10 , reference may be made to the description of related technical effects in the first example above, which will not be repeated here.

In some examples, as shown in FIG. 9 , the above display device 1 further includes a gap filler 100 filled between the display panel 10 and the outer casing 80 and between the cover plate 20 and the outer casing 80 .
