Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及在恒定大小的网络传送分组中封装数据的方法,所述数据组织为连续的单独可接入的视听目标编码表示部分,并且每个所述部分细分为段。本发明对于诸如MPEG-2传送流(MPEG-2TS)和异步传送模式(ATM)的网络,对于这些网络的传送分组中封装MPEG-4数据尤为有用。
背景技术
1999年1月将实行的未来MPEG-4标准建议以标准化的方式来表示自然或合成信源的视听目标(称为AVO),将它们组合在一起以生成形成视听景物的复合AVO,多路复用与同步同这些AVOs有关的数据,并与接收机端产生的视听景物进行交互作用。
如图1所示,如下面以更详细方式所述的,如诸如在文件“MPEG文本和目标(Context and objectives)”,R.Koenen等,SignalProeessing:Image Communication 9(1997),May 1997,n°4,第295-304页上所述的系统接收的MPEG-4视听景物一般由以分级方式组织的几个AVO组成。这个分级组织的叶(Leaves)是原始AVO,诸如:背景、谈话人的图象、与那个人有关的话音等的任何类型的文本、图形...,并且可以是二维或三维的(20,30)。
将与这些AVO有关的数据在一个或多个基本流(ES)中进行传送,其特征在于它们所要求的传输业务质量(QOS)和一些其他参数。必须将来自传输网络或存储媒体的TransMux(模/数多路复用转换器)流形式的数据流正确地进行多路分解,以恢复基本流。将这些基本流随后传送到合适的解码器,以便解压缩和重构原始AVO(原始AV目标)。随后将所解码的AVOs与给出有关景物的组成信息的景物描述指示一起用于构成和描绘(render)由其作者(以给定的分级形式)描述的景物。也根据作者所允许的范围,将上游数据发回给网络层,以便与景物进行交互作用。
MPEG-4标准的系统部分描述用于以自然或合成目标(上面称为AVO的媒体目标)编码表示形式传送视听信息的系统。在这样的系统中,在发送一侧,此视听信息实际上以二进制流形式进行压缩,组合和多路复用,且在传输之后,在接收一侧,多路分解、解压、组合这些流,并显示给终端用户(一般能与此显示进行交互作用)的终端。传送与AVO有关的数据的基本流包含这些数据的编码表示:景物描述信息、视听信息、内容相关信息和其他附加数据。在传输之后,对ES进行解码、根据景物描述信息进行组合(实际上将该组合定义为应用景物描述信息的过程以便识别媒体目标的时空属性)并提供给终端,将所有这些过程根据终端解码模型(=Systems Decoder Model或SDM)和同步信息进行同步。
所述SDM的目的是提供与MPEG-4标准一致的一种终端性能:由发送者用于预测接收机在重构组成会话的视听信息时将如何进行缓冲管理和同步。更具体地,MPEG-4终端(诸如图1所述的)包括由TransMux层、Flex Mux(灵活的多路复用器)层和Access Unit(接入单元)层(此层模型提供所有MPEG-4终端的实施可基于的通用模型)构成的多层结构。指定适于传送MPEG数据流(因而允许在各种操作环境中进行使用)的任何已有或未来基础的多路复用功能性的Trans Mux层未在MPEG-4文本中定义:它实际上是传输网络(例如,MPEG-2TS或ATM)的接口或存储媒体,允许提供与所请求的业务质量匹配的传送业务。完全由MPEG-4指定的Flex Mux层由用于交错数据(将一个或多个基本流交错在一个Flex Mux流中)的灵活工具构成,并允许识别已进行多路复用的数据的不同信道。
Access Unit层传送时基信息和时间标记的基本流的接入单元,并因而允许在基本流中接入单元(视频或音频帧、景物描述指令,…)的识别和时基的恢复(接入单元或AU是基本流内AVO编码表示的最小的单独可接入的部分,定时信息能看作AU的属性)。压缩层处理允许完成所涉及的视听交互景物的组合与描绘步骤的数据(目标描述符、景物描述信息、原始AV目标)和相应于返回信道所允许的交互作用的数据。
而且,根据分组表示传送基本流、封装在所谓的SL分组流中的ES数据通过流多路复用接口进行发送和/或接收,以便封装SDM的多路分解器,提供至分流数据的接入并利用这些数据填充解码缓冲器。一个SL分组流由一系列封装单个ES的分组(根据标准中所定义的语法和语义)构成,这些分组包含分成上述的接入单元的基本流数据、以及用于定时和接入单元标记的补充信息。
至于数据的传输,并且尤其是通过各种网络的MPEG-4类型的多媒体数据的传输,这些数据的格式必须修改为网络能用于工作的格式。在将多路复用分组适用于利用恒定大小分组工作的网络(诸如MPEG-2TS或ATM,如下文所述)以便与这些网络相互操作时,即使数据分段为符合这些分组的大小,但不幸地是一些分段太小以至不符合此大小。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提出将多路复用数据适用于利用恒定大小分组工作的网络的一般方法。为此,本发明涉及诸如在本说明书前序部分中所述的方法,并且此方法特征在于:为了将每个部分的最后分段与传送网络的恒定大小匹配,此方法包括用于将特定填充分组加到每个所述最后分段的填充步骤。这个技术方案在所述数据是MPEG-4类型的多媒体数据并且称为接入单元或AU的每个所述部分细分为称为接入单元层-分组数据单元或AL-PDU的分段时具有特别的用途。更具体地说,所述方法的特征在于,根据下面分步骤计算每个连续部分的填充分组大小:
检测和检查每个部分的分段数量;
如果所述数量大于1,通过给除了最后一个分段之外的每个分段加上对应于所涉及传送网络的一个合适的标题来建立恒定大小的每个连续网络分组,和随后利用最后分段的大小与网络分组大小之间的差并考虑所述标题的值来计算填充分组的大小;
如果所述数量不大于1,利用此单个分段的大小与网络分组的大小之间的差并考虑所述标题的值来计算填充分组的大小;
根据那个填充分组的大小,建立对应于所述最后或单个分组的最后完整的网络分组。

具体实施方式
在MPEG-2标准中,编码和发送视听数据,利用MPEG-4标准,为了在终端上重构多媒体景物,必须传送视频和同步的音频信道:所有目标因此一起多路复用在整个单个流(stream)中并传送给终端,在终端上这些目标进行多路分解和组合,以便构造和显示有意义的多媒体景物(如已述的,这样的景物示例能在图1的上部中看到)给所述终端的末端用户。此完整景物的描述归功于表示预定义的一组景物目标与行为以及其时空关系的压缩二进制格式(
Binary
Format forScene,或BIFS)。BIFS景物描述由一组描述景物及其布局的节点构成,如图2所示:此图表示景物图形的一个示例,根据由节点中(或定义分级连接的组节点GN中或仅是树的叶子的子节点CN中)组织的分级层构成的树结构给出景物的分级表示,和在必要时以这些节点之间的横向连接给出景物的分级表示,允许在景物的所有目标之间组织任何类型的数据传输。对应于所述BIFS景物描述的数据自己正好与所涉及的景物有关的任何媒体流一样作为基本流传送给终端。显然,为了所传送数据的正确成帧和时间标记(时间标记是涉及此流中时间信息的信息单元),对BIFS基本流传送附加一些要求。
根据MPEG-4标准的系统部分,已发现:通过传送时间标记的接入单元和时基信息(涉及同一解码时间的所有连续数据形成单个接入单元),接入单元层(或AL)将基本流数据用于利用流多路复用接口的通信。在AL实体之间交换最小协议单元则是称为接入单元层协议数据单元(AL-PDU)的接入单元分段,并由AL-PDU标题和AL-PDU有效负载自身构成,其中AL-PDU标题对于随后的AL-PDU有效负载的检错和成帧是有用的,而AL-PDU有效负载是包含基本流数据的数据字段。
同样,在Flex Mux实体之间交换的Flex Mux流的最小协议单元称为Flex Mux协议数据单元(FM-PDU)。至于AL-PDU,它由FM-PDU标题(在FM-PDU有效负载前面并识别此FM-PDU的有效负载所属的Flex Mux信道的信息)和FM-PDU有效负载自身(FM-PDU的数据字段)构成。一个或多个AL-PDU根据特定的模式(简单模式,Mux Code模式)嵌入FM-PDU。
在下面的描述中,考虑利用恒定长度的分组大小定义的传输或传送网络的两个示例:MPEG-2传送流(MPEG-2TS)和异步传送模式(ATM)。MPEG-2TS分组长为188字节,包括4字节的标题和184字节的有效负载,而ATM信元长为53字节,包括5字节的标题和48字节的有效负载。由于分组大小对于这些网络是恒定的,所以在MPEG-4数据的情况中具有装配接入单元的最后分段的问题。这里,建议使用填充机理来建立要通过此网络发送的最后分段的最后部分。
必须记住,由MPEG-2系统提供修改的机理,最后此系统所谓的修改字段允许不同大小的数据封装在MPEG-2TS流中。这个机理非常耗时,在网络处理之前,选择在MPEG-4级别上进行修改(以更一般的观点来说,如果在MPEG-4级别上进行所述封装,能处理诸如ATM的不进行任何修改的网络)。如图3所示,图3表示用于MPEG-2TS分组的填充示例,接入单元进行分段以便产生AL-PDU,每个AL-PDU利用表示时间与配置参数的AL-PDU标题进行标记。不符合网络分组(一个MPEG-2TS分组=188字节)、填充分组、仅由填充字节组成的最后分组加到接入单元的最后分段(在这种情况中,25字节的分组),则能看出以下部分的增加:填充分组(25字节)、所述填充分组的AL-PDU标题(1字节)、相关的FM-PDU标题(2字节:1字节用于FlexMUx信道号FMC,1个字节用于长度字段LEN),以及最后分组的连续相同部分(有效负载2=150字节;AL-PDU标题=4字节;FM-PDU标题=2字节;TS标题=4字节),这些部分实际上给出MPEG-2TS分组的长度(=188字节)。
虽然图3表示MPEG-2TS形式的具有填充字节封装的机理,但图4表示ATM形式的具有15字节(在此示例中的填充分组和5字节的ATM标题的相同机理。在两个情况中,如下所示建立分组:
网络分组=网络标题(TS,ATM)+网络有效负载;
网络有效负载=FM-PDU;

(6)AL-PDU有效负载=接入单元的1个分段;
(7)接入单元=(接入单元分段),最后一个分段一般太小以致不符合与所考虑的网络有关的恒定分组大小。
不管对于MPEG-2TS还是对于ATM,都得计算填充分组的大小,所述大小的计算方法表示在图5中并包括以下分步骤:
在计算处理(INIT)的初始化之后,检测接入单元中的分段数量SEGNUM;
使第一分段FS可利用,并检查分段数量(SEGNUM>1?);
如果所述数量大于1(SEGNUM>1?的回答YES(是)),通过加上合适的对应于所涉及的传送网络的标题建立对应于所述第一分段的网络分组(NP BUILT),并使下一个分段NS可利用;
如果所述下一个分段不是最后一个分段(LAST SEG?的回答是NO(否)),反馈连接允许形成用于同样建立对应于所述下一个分段的网络分组(NP BUILT)的环路,等等;
相反地,如果所述分段是最后一个分段(LAST SEG?的回答是YES),利用此最后分段的大小与网络分组的大小之间的差并考虑不同标题的值来计算填充大小PS;
如果数量SEGNUM不大于1(SEGNUM>1?的回答是NO),如前一步骤所示地计算此单个分段的填充大小PS;
只要计算填充大小,就建立具有填充字节的相应完整的网络分组(此分组由NPWPB(具有填充字节的网络分组)来指定),并且此相应完整的网络分组符合所涉及网络的分组大小。
Claims (3)
1.用于在恒定大小的网络传送分组中封装数据的一种方法,所述数据组织为视听目标的编码表示的连续的分别可接入部分,并且每个所述部分细分为分段,所述方法的特征在于,它包括用于将特定填充分组加到每个部分的最后分段以使每个部分的所述最后分段与传送网络的恒定大小匹配的填充步骤。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述数据是MPEG-4类型的多媒体数据,并且称为接入单元或AU的每个所述部分细分为称为接入单元层-分组数据单元或AL-PDU的分段。
3.根据权利要求1或2的方法,其特征在于,根据以下分步骤计算每个连续部分的填充分组的大小:
检测和检查每个部分的分段数量;
如果所述数量大于1,通过给除最后一个分段之外的每个分段加上对应于所涉及的传送网络的一个合适标题来建立恒定大小的每一个连续网络分组,并且随后利用最后分段的大小与网络分组的大小之间的差和考虑所述标题的值来计算填充分组的大小;
如果所述数量不大于1,利用此单个分段的大小与网络分组的大小之间的差并考虑所述标题的值来计算填充分组的大小;
根据那个填充分组的大小,建立对应于所述最后或单个分段的最后完整的网络分组。
