Abstract

The invention provides an industrial oil, e.g. for a chain saw chain and bar lubricant, a gear oil or a hydraulic fluid, based on vegetable oil rather than mineral oil and in which the base fluid is a palm olein. The industrial oil comprises palm olein as base fluid with an anti-oxidant and an anti-wear additive.
