Abstract

Description
本发明涉及聚酯树脂组合物及其模制品。具体地讲,本发明提供的这类聚酯树脂组合物低温下具有优异的韧性,在高温应用中具有改善的热稳定性和长期质量稳定性(特别是防变色性),该树脂组合物可应用于汽车工业或电器设备的连接件、电闸或继电器的制备中。
聚对苯二甲酸亚烷基酯代表的结晶热塑性聚酯树脂由于具有优异的机械和电性能,优异的化学和物理性能和良好的加工性,因而作为工程塑料已经在各个领域中应用,包括汽车部件和电气及电子元件。但是,随着树脂应用的不断扩大和多样化,经常需要树脂具有增强和特定的性能。例如,更多地需要树脂好的热稳定性,特别是在高温或低温下具有长期质量稳定性。
特别是,在汽车制造领域中从安全的角度出发,树脂应具有优异的机械性能,特别是在低温下的韧性如柔软性和耐冲击性,和在高温下长期应用后保持优异的物理性能。
为了能满足上述的需要,已提议了一种方法,该方法包括向热塑性聚酯树脂中加入聚碳酸酯或热塑性弹性体如烯烃聚合物或橡胶聚合物,同时使用环氧树脂或聚碳化二亚胺。但是,因为这样制得的聚酯树脂组合物含有弹性体和上述的添加剂,虽然树脂组合物的机械性能有所改善,可是由于相容性差而造成表面剥离,并且高温下长期应用后出现变色,因而大大限制了它的应用。
为了克服这些问题,也已有建议加入稳定剂如特定的酚、胺、磷 酸酯或亚磷酸酯化合物。
虽然加入稳定剂可在某种程度上减少了变色,但是这种作用太小以致于不能满足汽车或电气设备连接器应用需要的性能,连接器所要求的性能包括高韧性(特别是低温下)如柔软性和耐冲击性,优异的热稳定性和高温下长期质量稳定性(特别是耐变色性)。据此,迫切需要解决这些问题。
鉴于上述问题,本发明的发明者进行了深入细致的研究,以得到一种聚酯树脂组合物,该组合物具有改善的热稳定性,特别是在高温下长期应用中耐变色性,而不会对接连器等等基本需要的机械性能有不利的影响,特别是韧性和模塑性,并且已经发现加入某种特定化合物可有效地达到此目的。本发明是在此发现的基础上实现的。
也就是说,本发明涉及一种聚酯树脂组合物,及其模制品如连接件、电闸和继电器;该组合物由100份(重量)包括:
(A)60~99份(重量)的结晶热塑性聚酯树脂,
(B)1~40份(重量)聚酯弹性体的混合物与
(C)0.01~5份(重量)双噁唑啉化合物,
(D)0.01~5份(重量)下列通式的亚磷酸化合物,
其中:R1和R2可相同或不同,分别选自烷基、取代烷基、芳基、取代芳基和烷氧基,
(E)0.01~5份(重量)一种或多种选自硫醚化合物和受阻酚化合物的抗氧剂混合而制成。
现将组成本发明组合物的组份更详细地描述如下。
用于本发明的结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)是,由二元羧酸与低分子量二羟基化合物缩聚、羟基羧酸缩聚或这三种化合物缩聚而制备的一种结晶聚酯。聚酯可以是均聚物或共聚物,这两种聚合物都呈现本发明的效果。
用于制备聚酯树脂(A)的二元羧酸的实例包括已知的二元羧酸如对苯二甲酸、间苯二甲酸、萘二甲酸、二苯二羧酸、二苯醚二羧酸、二苯基乙烷二羧酸和环己烷二羧酸以及它们的烷基、烷氧基或卤素取代的衍生物。这些二元羧酸可以酯衍生物分别使用,例如其低级醇酯(二甲酯)。此外,这些二元羧酸和它们的衍生物也可以二种或多种的混合物来使用。
组成本发明结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)的二羟基化合物的实例包括二羟基化合物如乙二醇、丙二醇、丁二醇、新戊二醇、氢醌、间苯二酚、二羟基苯、萘二醇、二羟基二苯醚、环己二醇、2,2-双(4-羟基苯基)丙烷和二乙氧基化双酚A,以及它们的烷基-、烷氧基或卤素取代衍生物。这些化合物可以单独,或二种或多种的混合物使用。
羟基羧酸的实例包括羟基羧酸本身如羟基苯甲酸、羟基萘甲酸和二亚苯基羟基羧酸,以及其烷基一、烷氧基或卤素取代的衍生物。此外,这些化合物的酯衍生物也可使用。按照本发明,可使用上述一种或多种化合物。
按照本发明,除了上述组份外还可以使用小量的三官能度单体,从而制成有支链或交链结构的聚酯。三官能度单体包括偏苯三酸、苯
三酸和苯四酸、季戊四醇和三甲醇丙烷。
按照本发明,将上述单体组份缩聚制得的任何结晶热塑性聚酯可用作为组分(A)。虽然这样制得的结晶热塑性聚酯树脂可单独使用或它们的二种或多种混合物使用,但是较好的是使用主要含有聚对苯二甲酸亚烷基酯,最好是聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯的聚合物。
用于本发明的聚酯弹性体(B)是共聚物,该共聚物包括聚酯硬链段和聚醚软链段,其数均分子量约为200~6000,重量比为15∶85~90∶10。组成聚酯硬链段的二元羧酸组份包括芳族二元羧酸如对苯二甲酸、间苯二甲酸、邻苯二甲酸和2,6-和1,5-萘二羧酸和双(对-羧基苯基)甲烷;脂环族二元羧酸如1,4-环己烷二羧酸和环戊烷二羧酸;和脂族二元羧酸如己二酸和癸二酸。鉴于机械性能和耐热性能,较好的是使用含有至少50%(摩尔)芳族二羧酸,最好是对苯二甲酸或间苯二甲酸的二元羧酸组份。
组成硬链段的二元醇组份包括C2~C12脂族或脂环族二元醇如乙二醇、丙二醇、1,4-丁二醇、新戊二醇、1,5-戊二醇和1,6-己二醇;双酚如双(对羟基)二苯、双(对羟基苯基)甲烷和双(对羟基苯基)丙烷及其混合物。特别是,较好地是使用C2~C3脂族或脂环族二元醇。
组成聚酯软链段的聚烷环氧撑二醇包括聚环氧乙烷二醇、聚(1,3-和1,2-环氧丙烷)二醇、聚氧丁撑二醇、聚环氧乙烷二醇-聚环氧丙烷二醇嵌段共聚物和聚环氧乙烷二醇-聚氧丁撑二醇嵌段共聚物。特别好的是使用聚氧丁撑二醇。当然,也可以使用它们二种或多种的混合物。这些聚醚乙二醇的每种平均分子量约为200~6000。
这些聚酯弹性体都可以用任意方法制备,有些可从市场购得。
按照本发明,结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)与聚酯弹性体(B)的重量比为60∶40~99∶1,最好为70∶30~97∶3。
当聚酯弹性体的用量大于40份(重量)时,所得树脂组合物具有较低的韧性,而当它的用量小于1份(重量)时,耐冲击性没有得到足够的改善。
用于本发明的双噁唑啉化合物(C)是下通式所代表的化合物:
其中:R是二价有机基团,一个或多个氢原子可以被烷基或芳基取代。
由通式(2)代表的双噁唑啉化合物(C)的具体实例包括2,2′-亚甲基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-亚乙基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-亚乙基双(4-甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-亚丙基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-四亚甲基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-六亚甲基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-八亚甲基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-对-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-对-亚苯基双(4-甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-对-亚苯基双(4,4-二甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-对-亚苯基双(4-苯基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-间-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-间-亚苯基双(4-甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-间-亚苯基双(4,4-二甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-间-亚苯基双(4-苯基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-邻-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-亚苯基双(4-甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-双(2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-双(4-甲基-2-噁唑啉)、2,2′-双(4-乙基-2-噁唑啉)和2,2′
-双(4-苯基-2-噁唑啉)。这些噁唑啉化合物可单独使用,或两种或多种混合物使用。
在上述双噁唑啉化合物中,较好的是使用通式(2)中R是芳基,最好是亚苯基的化合物。特别好的是2,2′-间-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)和2,2′-对-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)。
双噁唑啉化合物(C)的用量为每100份(重量)含组份(A)和(B)的混合物0.01~5份(重量),较好为0.03~3份(重量)。当用量太小时,没有作用,但当用量太大时,所得组合物的粘度明显上升,而长期使用将产生如变色等问题。
一般地讲,众所周知作为组份(C)加入上述双噁唑啉化合物是一种用来抑制高温下聚酯树脂分解的有效方法,从而可较长时间地保持韧性如柔软性和耐冲击性。但是,如前所述,含有双噁唑啉化合物的聚酯树脂组合物在高温下长期使用会出现明显变色这个问题。
同时,本发明组合物的特征在于,除了上述组份(A)、(B)和(C)外,还含有(D)一种持定的亚磷化合物和(E)选自硫醚化合物和位阻酚化合物的抗氧剂。也就是说,现已发现组份(A)、(B)、(C)、(D)和(E)的联合使用可有效地改善高温下长期使用后初始性能的保持性和耐变色性,而没有使韧性下降,和使低温下物理性能是有长期保持性。
用于上述目的的特定亚磷化合物(D)是具有通式(1)的化合物:
在通式(Ⅰ)中,R1和R2可彼此相同或不同,分别选自烷基、取代的烷基、芳基、取代的芳基和烷氧基。从在加工中稳定性的角度讲,R1和R2各为有至少6个碳原子的烷基,或取代的烷基、烷氧基、芳基或取代的芳基,更好的为芳基或取代的芳基。这些基团的实例包括苯基、萘基和二苯基,以及它们的烷基-、羟基-和/或烷氧基取代的衍生物。化合物(D)的具体实例包括双(2,4-二叔丁基苯基)季戊四醇二亚磷酸酯、双(壬基苯基)季戊四醇二亚磷酸酯和4-苯氧基-9-α-(4-羟苯基)-对-枯烯氧基-3,5,8,10-四氧杂-4,9-二磷杂螺〔5,5〕十一碳烷。
按照本发明,这些特定的磷化合物可以单独使用,或者二种或多种混合使用,用量为每100份(重量)含结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)和聚酯弹性体(B)的混合物0.01~5份(重量)。当磷化合物(D)的用量小于0.01份(重量)时,即使与下述的抗氧剂(E)一起使用,耐变色性基本上没有改善;相反的,当化合物(D)的用量大于5份(重量)时,这是不经济的,因为用量小于5%(重量)就可使热稳定性的改善达到满意的效果,而且对模塑性和强度带来不可忽略的缺点。从改善热稳定性、各种物理性能和经济效果的角度讲,较好的用量为0.03~3份(重量),最好为0.05~1.0份(重量)。
仅将上述特定的磷化合物(D)加到含有结晶热塑性聚酯树脂、聚酯弹性体和双噁唑啉化合物的树脂组合物中,本发明的目的还是没有达到。也就是说,本发明的一个目的是改善高温下长期使用时的耐变色性,达到这个目的应使用化合物(D)和选自硫醚化合物和位阻酚化合物的下述特定抗氧化剂(E)而产生协同效果而实现。
用于上述目的的硫醚化合物(E)的有代表实例包括硫代二丙酸二
月桂酰酯、硫代二丙酸二肉豆蔻基酯、硫代二丙酸二硬脂酰酯、硫代二丙酸月桂酰硬脂酰酯、四〔亚甲基-3-(十二烷基硫代)丙酸酯〕甲烷和3,3-硫代-二丙酸二(C12~C18)烷基酯。
位阻酚化合物(E)的实例包括2,2′-亚甲基双(4-甲基-6-叔丁基酚)、己二醇双(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基-氢化肉桂酸酯)、四〔亚甲基(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基氢化肉桂酸酯)〕甲烷、三乙二醇双-3-(3-叔丁基-4-羟基-5-甲基苯基)丙酸酯、1,3,5-三甲基-2,4,6-三(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲基)苯、3-(4′-羟基-3′,5′-二叔丁基酚)丙酸正十八烷酯、4,4′-亚甲基双(2,6-二叔丁基酚)、4,4′-亚丁基双(6-叔丁基3-甲基酚)、双〔3-(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟苯基)丙酸2,2′-硫代二乙酯、3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲基磷酸二硬脂酰酯和2-叔丁基-6-(3-叔丁基-5-甲基-2-羟苯甲基)-4-甲基苯基丙烯酸酯。这些化合物可单独使用,或者两种或多种混合使用。其中,较好的是使用己二醇双(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基氢化肉桂酸酯)、四〔亚甲基(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基氢化肉桂酸酯)〕甲烷或三乙二醇双-3-〔3-叔丁基-4-羟基-5-甲基苯基)丙酸酯。
虽然使用硫醚化合物或位阻酚化合物作为组份(E)都足以达到本发明的减小变色性的作用,但是硫醚化合物与特定磷化合物(D)联合使用可更好地实现本发明的目的。
抗氧化剂(E)的用量为每100份(重量)含结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)和聚酯弹性体(B)的混合物用0.01~3份(重量),最好为0.03~1.0份(重量)。当用量小于0.01份(重量)时,减小变色性的作用不够;当用量大于5份(重量)时,组合物的机械性能受到不良
的影响。
只要本发明的目的不受到影响,本发明的树脂组合物还可含有作为辅助组份的小量其它热塑性树脂。用作为辅助组份的热塑性树脂可以是在高温下稳定的任何一种热塑性树脂。
热塑性树脂的实例包括聚酰胺、ABS、聚苯醚、聚丙烯酸烷基酯、聚缩醛、聚砜、聚酯砜、聚醚亚胺、聚醚酮和氟树脂,这些树脂可单独使用,或两种或多种混合使用。
此外,根据组合物的使用目的所需特性,本发明的树脂组合物还可含有用于这些目的的热塑性或热固性树脂的已知添加剂。这些添加剂的实例包括紫外线吸收剂、抗静电剂、阻燃剂、辅助阻燃剂、润滑剂、脱模剂、着色剂如颜料和染料、润滑剂、增塑剂、结晶促进剂、成核剂和无机填料。
具体地讲,电气元件和汽车部件在它们的使用环境中通常需要是阻燃的,因而在它们的制备中需要加入阻燃剂和辅助阻燃剂。
阻燃剂可以是任何已知的卤代型阻燃剂,它们的实例包括溴化聚碳酸酯、溴化环氧化合物、溴化联苯和溴化苯醚。
辅助阻燃剂包括锑化合物如三氧化锑和卤化锑;锌或铋化合物;氢氧化镁和泥质硅酸盐如石棉。
无机填料包括常用的无机纤维如玻璃纤维、碳纤维、陶瓷纤维、硼纤维和钛酸钾和石棉;粉末或颗粒状填料如碳酸钙、高分散性硅酸盐、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、滑石、粘土、云母、玻璃碎片、玻璃粉末、玻璃珠、石英粉末、石英砂、硅灰石、碳黑、硫酸钡、烧石膏、碳化硅、氧化铝、一氮化硼和四氮化三硅;片状填料和针状单晶。
这些无机填料可以单独使用,或者两种或多种混合使用。
本发明组合物可用已知的设备制备树脂组合物的已知方法很容易制得。这些方法包括(ⅰ)将各组份彼此混合得到混合物,用挤出机捏合该混合物,将它挤成粒料并模塑该粒料,(ⅱ)制备有不同组成的组合物的粒料,以预定的比例将粒料相互混合,模塑所得粒料组合物成有本发明组合物的模制品;(ⅲ)该方法的特征是直接送入一种或多种组份。此外,还可将一部分树脂组份预先研磨,再与其余组份混合,这样可将各组份均匀混合。
还有,可将本发明必需组份的特定磷化合物的全部或部分,有时是硫醚或位阻酚化合物在制备和加工热塑性聚酯树脂过程中任意步骤中加入。
本发明的聚酯树脂组合物可模塑成各种需有高韧性如高柔韧性和耐冲击性(特别是在低温下)和优异热稳定性的模制品。具体讲,当将该组合物用于汽车部件或电气元件时,特别是在恶劣环境下使用的连接件、电闸或继电器中,该组合物是有特别高的性能值,因为所制得的部件或元件能经受在连接接头工作的反复应力。
如上所述,本发明的树脂组合物在高温应用中热稳定性和长期质量稳定性(特别是耐变色性)方面与先有技术的含冲击改性剂的聚酯树脂组合物相比有明显的改善,而没有机械性能和模塑性能的不利影响,并且具有优异的低温韧性。
树脂组合物在经过热历程后基本上没有韧性的降低,并且色相也基本上没有变化,树脂组合物有优异的外观,因而非常适于用在高温环境下的汽车部件或电气元件的制备中,例如连接件、电闸或继电器。
本发明参照下列实例更详细地说明,但是不限于此。
在此所用特性的测定方法如下:
①色相变化
将用于色相测定的试片存于150℃下的恒温箱中200小时,用Nippon Denshoku公司制备的比色计测定所得试片的色相,按照下式确定色相的变化:
其中:L0、a0、b0……为开始时的色相
L、a、b……加热后的色相
②伸长率
用ASTM测试试片(Ⅳ型、1mm厚)按照ASTMD638测定开始时的伸长率和在150℃加热200小时后的伸长率。
测定温度:23℃和0℃。
实例1~8和对比例1~14
95份(重量)特性粘度为0.8的聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯为组份(A)、5份(重量)聚醚-酯嵌段共聚物为组份(B)、1,3-亚苯基双(2-噁唑啉)(mpBo)为双噁唑啉化合物(C)和表Ⅰ所给的磷化合物和抗氧化剂分别为组份(D)和(E),将它们彼此混合制成混合物。该混合物用挤出机造粒,再注塑模塑成测试试片,用所得测试试片测定性能,结果列于表1。
为了进行比较,按上述制备的方法制备相同的混合物,不同之处是不加组份(C),或只加组份(D)和(E)的一种,或既不加组份(D)也不加组份(E),或者用超出本发明范围的磷化合物(D′)代替化合物(D)。将这样制得的混合物按上述相同的方法分别加工和测定。所得结果也列于表1。
实例9~14和对比例15~24
按照表2给出的比例,将实例1所用相同的聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(A)与表2中给定的聚酯弹性体(B)、双噁唑啉化合物(C)、磷化合物(D)和抗氧化剂(E)混合。将这样制得的混合物用实例1所述相同的方法分别进行测定。结果示于表2。
为了进行比较,制备上述相同的混合物,不同之处是只加入组份(D)和(E)之一,或者用超出本发明范围的磷化合物(D′)代替化合物(D)。按照前述实例相同的方法分别测定所得的混合物。结果列于表2。

Claims (4)
2、如权利要求1所述的聚酯树脂组合物,其中结晶热塑性聚酯树脂(A)是主要含有聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯的树脂。
3、如权利要求1或2所述的聚酯树脂组合物,其中双恶唑啉化合物(C)是间亚苯基双恶唑啉或对亚苯基双恶唑啉。
4、用如权利要求1-3中任何一项所述的聚酯树脂组合物制造作为连接件、电闸或继电器的模制品。
