背景技术
当前正在研制中的墨液输送系统包括高容量墨液源,该墨液源设计成能将墨液提供到相对小的墨液缓存器,然后墨液缓存器又将墨液输送到打印机的打印头。在这种系统的一些实施例中,所述墨液缓存器可包括两个中间墨液容器。在这样的布局结构中,所述中间墨液容器中的一个被用来对打印头进行供应,而另一个中间墨液容器通过高容量墨液源被补充。需要适合这种应用的墨液容器。

具体实施方式
这里公开的墨液容器适合用在墨液输送系统中,在该墨液输送系统中,例如墨液从高容量墨液源供应给墨液容器,然后从墨液容器被输送到打印机的打印头。在某些实施例中,所述墨液容器包括外壳,其限定了内部空间,在所述内部空间中提供有内部墨囊。所述墨囊适于从所述墨液源接收墨液。一旦所述墨囊已被填充满墨液,那么相对较高的压力流体例如空气可被输送到所述外壳的内部空间,以在所述墨囊上施加压力,从而导致墨液从所述墨液容器中流出。这样的墨液容器能被使用在其中中墨液输送系统的示例被描述在2008年5月14日提交的PCT专利申请序列号US0863580(律师卷号200800426-1)中,在此通过引用将其全部内容并入本文。
现在更详细地参考附图,在所有视图中相同的附图标记标示了相应的部件,图1-3示出了一个示例性的墨液容器10。如那些附图所示,墨液容器10包括外壳12,所述外壳包括中央压力壳14,所述中央压力壳具有开放的前后端16和18。如图2和图3明显示出的,所述压力壳层14具有大致矩形箱盒形状,因此限定有顶表面20、底表面22和相对的侧表面24。示例性地,所述压力壳层14由相对刚性的塑性材料制成,这种材料在所述外壳12被加压时抵抗挠曲,如下文所述。

如图3所示,后端帽28的本体38限定了墨液容器10的接口50,其使得墨液能够输送进和输送出墨液容器,并且进一步使得能够检测墨液泄漏。在图解说明的实施例中,所述接口50包括第一开口或顶开口52以及第二开口或底开口54,它们提供了至外壳12内部空间的通路。在图3中穿过开口52,54可以看见墨囊耦合器56,其被安装到端盖28。墨液端口58和空气端口60从耦合器56中延伸出并穿过底开口54,其中墨液能够流过墨液端口,空气能够流过空气端口。在墨液容器10使用期间,墨液在重力作用下流过打印机的补充线(或称再加注管线),流过墨液端口58,进入墨液容器的内部墨囊(参见图4)。当确定了从墨液容器10中输送墨液时,加压空气能够经过打印机的增压管路(未示出)、经过空气端口60被泵送到墨液容器的内部空间中。由于内部空间中充满了加压空气,因此墨囊被挤压,从而使得墨液从墨囊中经过墨液端口58流出,并因此流出墨液容器10,以致墨液能够被输送到打印机的打印头。
如图3中进一步地示出的,所述墨囊耦合器56还包括电接触件62。如下文所述,那些接触件中的至少一个延伸到墨液容器的内部空间中,以便进行墨液泄漏检查。图3中还示出了对齐凸片64,其确保墨液容器10制造期间耦合器56和端盖28之间的正确对齐。
图4示出了连接到所述墨囊耦合器56的内部墨囊70。如图4所示,耦合器56包括外部接口部分72和内部囊附连部分74。示例性地,所述接口部分72为大致圆盘形,所述囊附连部分74是大致平坦的。为了便于与外壳12的端盖28形成气密密封,接口部分72包括密封构件76,例如弹性的O形环。所述墨囊70被附连到耦合器56的囊附连部分74。更具体地,墨囊70被密封到附连部分74,以致流体能够单独地经过耦合器56的墨液端口58流入和流出所述囊,墨液端口58与附连部分的内部通道78流体连通。
进一步参考图4,耦合器56还包括导电体80,其从图3所示电接触件62中的一个或多个中延伸出,并卷绕在耦合器的接口部分72的周围,以致接触一个或多个内部电接触件82,这些内部电接触件被利用紧固件84安装到耦合器附连部分72。当内部电接触件76接触到液体(例如从墨囊70中泄漏的墨液)时,打印机能够检测到发生了短路,从而作为囊破裂的指示。
考虑到内部墨囊70在其使用寿命期间要被加压、变空以及补充(再充注)许多次,因此墨囊要被构造成具有高耐用性和高抗疲劳性。图5示出了一种用于图4所示内部墨囊70的壁90的示例性构造。如图5所示,墨囊壁90包括多个层,其包括:聚合物制成的内层92,该内层形成了所述壁的内表面;金属化中间层94;以及聚合物制成的外层96,其形成了所述壁的外表面。位于内层92和中间层94之间的是第一粘合层98,其将所述中间层结合到所述内层。类似地,位于中间层94和外层96之间的是第二粘合层100,其将所述外层结合到所述中间层。
所述内层92为墨囊70提供了抗冲击性和密封性质。在某些实施例中,内层92包括混合挤压物,其具有聚酰胺(例如尼龙)制成的中间层,该中间层介于线性低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE)制成的两个层之间。内层92可具有大致70到80μm的厚度,例如可为76μm。
金属化中间层94提供了对于空气和水蒸气的屏障,并且包括聚合物材料层,其上已经沉积有金属材料。在某些实施例中,中间层94包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)层,其上已经沉积有一层金属,例如银(Ag)或铝(Al)。这种层完全不同于可能会被另行用来构造墨囊70的独立的金属箔。中间层94可具有大致10到14μm的厚度,例如12μm,而金属层可具有至多大致900到1100埃(A)的厚度,例如1000A。在这种实施例中,第一粘合层98提供了PET和LLDPE之间的粘合。所述第一粘合层98可为大致2到3μm厚,例如2.5μm厚。
所述外层96为墨囊70提供了抗冲击性和韧性。在某些实施例中,所述外层由定向聚酰胺(例如,尼龙)制成。外层96可具有大致13到17μm的厚度,例如15μm。在这种实施例中,第二粘结剂100提供了所述金属(例如Ag或Al)与聚酰胺之间的粘合。第二粘合层100可为大致2到3μm厚,例如2.5μm厚。
当墨囊70具有例如上文参照图5所描述的构造时,该墨囊具有抗疲劳性。具体地,由于存在金属化中间层94,使得墨囊70很少受到裂纹的影响,而在使用金属箔层时,将会形成裂纹。因此,所述墨囊在补充和墨液输送循环期间很少受到反复膨胀和塌缩造成的故障的影响。

Claims (7)

1.一种用在打印机中的可重充注的墨液容器,所述墨液容器包括:
限定了内部空间的外壳,以及设置在所述内部空间中的内部墨囊
所述外壳包括压力壳和限定了所述墨液容器的接口的端盖,所述接口包括墨液端口和空气端口,墨液能够经过墨液端口流入和流出所述内部墨囊,而空气能够经过空气端口流入和流出所述内部空间;
墨囊耦合器,所述内部墨囊被附连到所述墨囊耦合器,而所述墨囊耦合器被安装到所述外壳,所述墨囊耦合器包括泄漏检测机构,所述泄漏检测机构包括延伸到墨液容器的内部空间中的一个或多个第一电接触件、一个或多个第二电接触件以及导电体,导电体从第一电接触件中的一个或多个中延伸出,并卷绕在耦合器的大致圆盘形接口部分的周围,以致接触一个或多个第二电接触件,第二电接触件被利用紧固件安装到耦合器的大致平坦的附连部分,所述第一电接触件和第二电接触件相对地定位以在墨从墨囊泄漏时可检测地电短路;
其中施加在所述内部墨囊流体压力导致墨液从所述墨囊中流出,
其中,所述墨囊包括结合到彼此的多个层,所述多个层包括金属化层,该金属化层包括聚合物材料层,在该聚合物材料层上已经沉积有金属材料。
2.根据权利要求1所述的墨液容器,其中所述金属化层包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯层,而且所述金属材料包括铝或银。
3.根据权利要求2所述的墨液容器,其中所述聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯层为大致10到14μm厚,而沉积在所述聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯层上的金属材料为大致900到1100埃厚。
4.根据权利要求1所述的墨液容器,其中所述墨囊进一步包括内层和外层,所述金属化层处于所述内层和所述外层之间。
5.根据权利要求4所述的墨液容器,其中所述内层和所述外层由聚合物材料制成。
6.根据权利要求1所述的墨液容器,其中,所述压力壳由施加压力时抵抗挠曲的材料制成。
7.根据权利要求6所述的墨液容器,其中所述墨囊耦合器包括所述墨液端口和所述空气端口,墨液能够经过所述墨液端口流入和流出所述内部墨囊,而空气能够经过所述空气端口流入和流出所述内部空间。
