Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a method and a system for triggering a positioning service event.
Background
As one of the distinctive services of the mobile communication system, the positioning service has been considered as a bright spot of the future mobile value-added service. Currently, major mobile communication operators in countries and regions such as north america, europe, japan, korea, etc. have opened a mobile positioning service.
The positioning service is the most attractive service in the mobile value-added service, and is also one of the most complex services in the industrial chain joint. The main factors restricting the large-scale development of the mobile positioning service at present are that the industrial chain is not sound enough, and the development and the guidance of the market demand of positioning are not mature enough.
The traditional location service is to locate a certain mobile terminal in the network. Specifically, a requester requests a system to locate a certain mobile terminal in the network through a location client, then the network measures the location of the mobile terminal through a specific location method, and finally converts the obtained location information and data of a geographic information system into a format which can be identified by a user and sends the format to the requester.
With the continuous development of the positioning service, the market has generated some new positioning service demands, and there are some potential new demands to be explored, but the current positioning technology cannot meet all the new demands. For example, two mobile terminals are held by two users, and the two mobile terminals are in a moving state at the same time, wherein a terminal held by one user is a main terminal (or referred to as a reference terminal), and a terminal held by the other user is referred to as a target terminal; when the target terminal leaves a certain distance from the reference terminal or enters a certain range of the reference terminal, an event is triggered, and a notification message is sent to a requester of the event notification, that is, a region trigger event function based on the relative position between the terminals is provided for the requester.
The relative positioning function between the terminals has a relatively wide market prospect. For example, in real life, parents and children shop in supermarkets or move about in large public places, and the parents and the children respectively hold a mobile terminal, wherein the terminal of the parent is a reference terminal, and the terminal held by the children is a target terminal. At the moment, parents can monitor the activity condition of the children at any time through the reference terminal held by the parents, and once the children exceed a certain preset distance, messages can be triggered and sent to the parents, so that the parents can better monitor the children. Besides, the relative positioning function between the terminals can also be applied to scheduling, controlling, monitoring and other applications.
However, existing positioning systems do not have the above or similar functionality, nor do they present the same or similar technology. Therefore, a new system and method need to be devised to implement the above application.

Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings and examples.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of relative positioning between mobile terminals. Fig. 1 includes two mobile terminals, a reference terminal and a target terminal. Taking the reference terminal as the center of a circle and taking the R as the radius area as a positioning area; the target terminal can be located at different positions, which are respectively: outside the location area, within the location area, and at the location area boundary.
Before further describing the flow of the present invention, a brief description will be given of how to determine whether an event based on the relative position between mobile terminals is generated (i.e., whether an event trigger condition is satisfied) in the present invention.
In the positioning system, a functional entity (e.g., a positioning platform, or a reference terminal, or a target terminal) that determines whether to trigger an event calculates, according to the latest position data of the reference terminal and the target terminal and a positioning area (e.g., a circular area with a radius R and a center of the reference terminal), whether the current target terminal leaves the positioning area (leaving), enters the positioning area (entering), or is located at a boundary of the positioning area (on-bounding).
The mathematical method required for the above determination differs depending on the shape of the positioning region, and the present invention is not limited to this.
First embodiment
FIG. 2 is a flowchart of an event triggering method based on the relative position between mobile terminals according to a first embodiment of the present invention; in this embodiment, a third party on the network side, as a positioning client (positioning agent), needs to receive an event notification message when a relative position relationship between a target mobile terminal (referred to as a target terminal for short) and a reference mobile terminal (referred to as a reference terminal for short) meets a preset event trigger condition, and a positioning server (positioning platform) determines the event trigger condition (that is, the positioning platform is used as a trigger condition determination network element). As shown in fig. 2, the method comprises the steps of:
201: a positioning client sends a triggered positioning request message (positioning request message for short) to a positioning platform;
the triggered positioning request message includes the following parameters: location client ID (identifier), target terminal ID, reference terminal ID, trigger condition, trigger type.
The trigger conditions include: a region parameter and an event parameter.
The above area parameters may be: radius value (or called distance value) R; the area parameter is used to identify a circular positioning area with the reference terminal as the center of a circle (center) and R as the radius.
Of course, the area parameters may also be used to identify an annular positioning area with the reference terminal as a central point, in which case, the area parameters need to include: radius value R1, radius value R2; wherein R1 > R2.
The event parameters may be: leaving the positioning area identified by the area parameter (i.e. not in the positioning area), and/or entering the positioning area identified by the area parameter (i.e. in the positioning area), and/or being located at the border of the positioning area identified by the area parameter (i.e. at the border of the positioning area). When the positioning region is an annular region, the target terminal is located at a distance greater than R1 or less than R2 from the reference terminal, which belongs to the exit positioning region.
The area parameter and the event parameter are used to determine an event trigger condition, for example, if the event parameter is a location area, an event notification is generated when the target terminal leaves the location area.
The trigger types include: the starting time of the trigger service, the ending time of the trigger service, the trigger period, etc. In addition, the end time of the trigger service in the trigger type may be replaced with the duration of the trigger service (the sum of the start time of the trigger service and the duration of the trigger service is equal to the end time of the trigger service).
202: after receiving the triggered positioning request message, the positioning platform checks the type of the positioning request, analyzes the parameters in the request message, and searches the routing information of the target terminal and the reference terminal.
203: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to the reference terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID1), trigger condition, trigger type; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a target terminal ID.
204: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the reference terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the target terminal ID, the reference terminal judges whether the service is allowed to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is ended, and if the service is allowed, the user plane data connection between the reference terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
205: the reference terminal sends a start triggered session message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
206: the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the reference terminal, wherein the message contains parameters such as SID 1.
207: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to a target terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID2), trigger condition parameter, trigger type parameter; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a reference terminal ID.
208: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the target terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the reference terminal ID, the target terminal judges whether to allow the service to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is finished, and if so, user plane data connection between the target terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
209: the target terminal sends a message of starting triggered session to the positioning platform, and the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
210: and the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the target terminal, wherein the message comprises parameters such as SID2 and the like.
It should be noted that the execution of the group A process (including steps 203-206) and the group B process (including steps 207-210) are not in sequence; the specific steps within the group a and group B procedures are performed in the order shown in fig. 2.
211: the positioning platform returns a positioning response message to the positioning client, which indicates that the positioning platform has completed preparation work based on the relative positioning of the reference terminal and the target terminal, and the reference terminal and the target terminal are both ready for positioning;
the location response message contains a transaction id (req _ id) which is unique throughout the process.
212: when the triggering period begins, the reference terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
In addition, the location information of the reference terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the reference terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
213: if the positioning starting message does not contain the position information of the reference terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the reference terminal carry out positioning conversation interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the reference terminal is obtained and calculated.
214: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the reference terminal, where the position report includes the result of the position calculation (i.e., the current position information of the reference terminal).
215: and the reference terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that in the group C procedure (including steps 212 to 215), steps 212 to 214 are the steps required to be performed by the positioning platform in charge of performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the reference terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is in charge of performing the position calculation by the reference terminal, steps 212 to 214 need not be performed, but step 215 is performed. That is, if steps 212 to 214 are performed, step 215 is not required to be performed, and conversely, if step 215 is performed, steps 212 to 214 are not required to be performed.
The Positioning assistance data may be GPS (Global Positioning System) assistance data, such as longitude and latitude information.
216: when the trigger period starts, the target terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
In addition, the location information of the target terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the target terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
217: if the positioning start message does not contain the position information of the target terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the target terminal carry out positioning session interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the target terminal is obtained and calculated.
218: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the target terminal, wherein the position report includes a result of the position calculation (i.e., current position information of the target terminal).
219: and the target terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that in the group D procedure (including steps 216 to 219), steps 216 to 218 are the steps required to be performed by the positioning platform in charge of performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the target terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is in charge of performing the position calculation by the target terminal, steps 216 to 218 need not be performed, but step 219 is performed. That is, if steps 216 to 218 are performed, step 219 need not be performed, and conversely, if step 219 is performed, steps 216 to 218 need not be performed.
In addition, the execution of the group C process and the group D process is not in sequence.
220: and the positioning platform calculates according to the current position information of the reference terminal and the current position information of the target terminal, judges whether an event triggering condition is met or not by combining the area parameter and the event parameter, if so, executes the step 221, and otherwise, waits for new position information of the reference terminal and the target terminal.
221: the positioning platform sends the event notification message to a positioning client;
the event notification message includes: req _ id (same as transaction id in step 211); in addition, the event notification message may also contain event description information (e.g., the target terminal has left the location area, or the target terminal has entered the location area).
It should be noted that after step 220, regardless of whether step 221 is executed or not, the C-group flow and the D-group flow need to be executed continuously until the end time of the trigger service is reached. That is, steps 212-221 need to be performed periodically.
222: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the triggering service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID1) is sent to the reference terminal, the data connection with the reference terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
223: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the trigger service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID2) is sent to the target terminal, the data connection with the target terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
Steps 222 and 223 are not in sequence.
Second embodiment
FIG. 3 is a flowchart of an event triggering method based on the relative position between mobile terminals according to a second embodiment of the present invention; in this embodiment, a third party on the network side, as a positioning client (positioning agent), needs to receive an event notification message when a relative position relationship between a target mobile terminal (referred to as a target terminal for short) and a reference mobile terminal (referred to as a reference terminal for short) satisfies a preset event trigger condition, and the target terminal determines the event trigger condition (that is, the target terminal serves as a trigger condition determining network element). As shown in fig. 3, the method comprises the steps of:
301: the positioning client sends a triggered positioning request message to a positioning platform;
the triggered positioning request message includes the following parameters: location client ID (identifier), target terminal ID, reference terminal ID, trigger condition, trigger type.
The above parameters are defined as in step 201.
302: after receiving the triggered positioning request message, the positioning platform checks the type of the positioning request, analyzes the parameters in the request message, and searches the routing information of the target terminal and the reference terminal.
303: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to the reference terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID1), trigger condition, trigger type; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a target terminal ID.
304: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the reference terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the target terminal ID, the reference terminal judges whether the service is allowed to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is ended, and if the service is allowed, the user plane data connection between the reference terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
305: the reference terminal sends a start triggered session message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
306: the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the reference terminal, wherein the message contains parameters such as SID 1.
307: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to a target terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID2), trigger condition parameter, trigger type parameter; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a reference terminal ID.
308: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the target terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the reference terminal ID, the target terminal judges whether to allow the service to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is finished, and if so, user plane data connection between the target terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
309: the target terminal sends a message of starting triggered session to the positioning platform, and the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
310: and the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the target terminal, wherein the message comprises parameters such as SID2 and the like.
It should be noted that, in the above-mentioned flows, the execution of the group a flow (including steps 303 to 306) and the group B flow (including steps 307 to 310) are not in sequence; the specific steps within the group a and group B procedures are performed in the order shown in fig. 3.
311: the positioning platform returns a positioning response message to the positioning client, which indicates that the positioning platform has completed preparation work based on the relative positioning of the reference terminal and the target terminal, and the reference terminal and the target terminal are both ready for positioning;
the location response message contains a transaction id (req _ id) which is unique throughout the process.
312: when the triggering period begins, the reference terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
In addition, the location information of the reference terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the reference terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
313: if the positioning starting message does not contain the position information of the reference terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the reference terminal carry out positioning conversation interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the reference terminal is obtained and calculated.
314: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the reference terminal, where the position report includes the result of the position calculation (i.e., the current position information of the reference terminal).
315: and the reference terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that, in the group C process (including steps 312 to 316), steps 312 to 314 are the steps that need to be performed by the positioning platform in charge of performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the reference terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is in charge of performing the position calculation by the reference terminal, steps 312 to 314 do not need to be performed, but step 315 is performed. That is, if steps 312 to 314 are performed, step 315 need not be performed, and conversely, if step 315 is performed, steps 312 to 314 need not be performed.
316: after receiving the position report of the reference terminal, the positioning platform sends the position report to the target terminal, so that the target terminal can calculate the position relation between the positioning platform and the reference terminal in the subsequent steps.
317: when the trigger period starts, the target terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
In addition, the location information of the target terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the target terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
318: if the positioning start message does not contain the position information of the target terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the target terminal carry out positioning session interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the target terminal is obtained and calculated.
319: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the target terminal, wherein the position report includes a result of the position calculation (i.e., current position information of the target terminal).
320: and the target terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that, in the group D procedure (including steps 317 to 320), steps 317 to 319 are the steps required to be executed by the positioning platform for performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the target terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is responsible for performing the position calculation by the target terminal, steps 317 to 319 do not need to be executed, but step 320 is executed. That is, if steps 317 to 319 are performed, step 320 is not required to be performed, and conversely, if step 320 is performed, steps 317 to 319 are not required to be performed.
In addition, the execution of the group C process and the group D process is not in sequence.
321: and the target terminal calculates according to the current position information of the reference terminal and the current position information of the target terminal, judges whether an event triggering condition is met or not by combining the area parameter and the event parameter, if so, executes the step 322, and otherwise, continues to wait for a new position report of the reference terminal sent by the positioning platform.
322: the target terminal sends an event report to the location platform containing event description information (e.g., the target terminal has left the location area, or the target terminal has entered the location area).
323: the positioning platform sends the event notification message to a positioning client;
the event notification message includes: req _ id (same as transaction id in step 311); in addition, the event notification message also contains event description information in step 322.
It should be noted that after step 321, regardless of whether steps 322 and 323 are executed, the group C flow and the group D flow need to be executed continuously until the end time of the trigger service is reached. That is, steps 312-323 need to be performed periodically.
324: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the triggering service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID1) is sent to the reference terminal, the data connection with the reference terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
325: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the trigger service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID2) is sent to the target terminal, the data connection with the target terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
Steps 324 and 325 are not in sequence.
Third embodiment
FIG. 4 is a flowchart of an event triggering method based on the relative position between mobile terminals according to a third embodiment of the present invention; in this embodiment, a third party on the network side, as a positioning client (positioning agent), needs to receive an event notification message when a relative position relationship between a target mobile terminal (referred to as a target terminal for short) and a reference mobile terminal (referred to as a reference terminal for short) satisfies a preset event trigger condition, and the reference terminal determines the event trigger condition (that is, the reference terminal serves as a trigger condition determining network element). As shown in fig. 4, the method includes the steps of:
401: the positioning client sends a triggered positioning request message to a positioning platform;
the triggered positioning request message includes the following parameters: location client ID (identifier), target terminal ID, reference terminal ID, trigger condition, trigger type.
The above parameters are defined as in step 201.
402: after receiving the triggered positioning request message, the positioning platform checks the type of the positioning request, analyzes the parameters in the request message, and searches the routing information of the target terminal and the reference terminal.
403: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to a target terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID1), trigger condition, trigger type; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a reference terminal ID.
404: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the target terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the reference terminal ID, the target terminal judges whether to allow the service to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is finished, and if so, user plane data connection between the target terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
405: the target terminal sends a message of starting triggered session to the positioning platform, and the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
406: and the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the target terminal, wherein the message comprises parameters such as SID1 and the like.
407: the positioning platform sends an initial positioning session message to the reference terminal;
the initial positioning session message may include: session ID (SID2), trigger condition parameter, trigger type parameter; in addition, the initial positioning session message may further include a positioning client ID and a target terminal ID.
408: after receiving the initial positioning session message, the reference terminal learns that the service is a relative positioning service between the reference terminal and the target terminal initiated by the positioning client according to the positioning client ID and the target terminal ID, the reference terminal judges whether the service is allowed to be executed, if not, a failure response is returned, the flow is ended, and if the service is allowed, the user plane data connection between the reference terminal and the positioning platform is established or recovered.
409: the reference terminal sends a start triggered session message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
410: the positioning platform sends a triggered session response message to the reference terminal, wherein the message contains parameters such as SID 2.
It should be noted that, in the above-mentioned flows, the execution of the group a flow (including steps 403 to 406) and the group B flow (including steps 407 to 410) are not in sequence; the specific steps within the group a and group B procedures are performed in the order shown in fig. 4.
411: the positioning platform returns a positioning response message to the positioning client, which indicates that the positioning platform has completed preparation work based on the relative positioning of the reference terminal and the target terminal, and the reference terminal and the target terminal are both ready for positioning;
the location response message contains a transaction id (req _ id) which is unique throughout the process.
412: when the trigger period starts, the target terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 1.
In addition, the location information of the target terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the target terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
413: if the positioning start message does not contain the position information of the target terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the target terminal carry out positioning session interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the target terminal is obtained and calculated.
414: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the target terminal, wherein the position report includes a result of the position calculation (i.e., current position information of the target terminal).
415: and the target terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that, in the group C process (including steps 412-416), steps 412-414 are the steps that need to be executed by the positioning platform in charge of performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the target terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is in charge of performing the position calculation by the target terminal, steps 412-414 need not be executed, but step 415 is executed. That is, if steps 412 to 414 are performed, step 415 need not be performed, and conversely, if step 415 is performed, steps 412 to 414 need not be performed.
416: after receiving the position report of the target terminal, the positioning platform sends the position report to the reference terminal so that the reference terminal can calculate the position relation between the reference terminal and the target terminal in the subsequent steps.
417: when the triggering period begins, the reference terminal initiates a positioning start message to the positioning platform, wherein the message includes parameters such as SID 2.
In addition, the location information of the reference terminal (e.g., a cell ID to which the reference terminal currently belongs) may be included in the positioning start message.
418: if the positioning starting message does not contain the position information of the reference terminal or the precision of the position information contained in the message is insufficient, the positioning platform and the reference terminal carry out positioning conversation interaction for a plurality of times, and the current position information of the reference terminal is obtained and calculated.
419: after the position calculation is completed, the positioning platform sends a position report to the reference terminal, where the position report includes the result of the position calculation (i.e., the current position information of the reference terminal).
420: and the reference terminal calculates the current position information and sends the current position information to the positioning platform through the position report.
It should be noted that, in the group D process (including steps 417 to 420), steps 417 to 419 are the steps that need to be executed by the positioning platform in charge of performing the position calculation according to the positioning assistance data, and if the reference terminal has already obtained the positioning assistance data and is in charge of performing the position calculation by the reference terminal, steps 417 to 419 do not need to be executed, but step 420 is executed. That is, if steps 417 to 419 are performed, step 420 need not be performed, and conversely, if step 420 is performed, steps 417 to 419 need not be performed.
In addition, the execution of the group C process and the group D process is not in sequence.
421: and the reference terminal calculates according to the current position information of the target terminal and the current position information of the reference terminal, judges whether an event triggering condition is met or not by combining the area parameter and the event parameter, if so, executes the step 422, and otherwise, continues to wait for a new position report of the target terminal sent by the positioning platform.
422: the reference terminal sends an event report to the location platform containing event description information (e.g., the target terminal has left the location area, or the target terminal has entered the location area).
423: the positioning platform sends an event notification message to a positioning client;
the event notification message includes: req _ id (same as transaction id in step 411); in addition, the event notification message also includes the event description information in step 422.
It should be noted that after step 421, regardless of whether steps 422 and 423 are executed, the group C flow and the group D flow need to be executed continuously until the end time of the trigger service is reached. That is, steps 412-423 need to be performed periodically.
424: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the trigger service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID1) is sent to the target terminal, the data connection with the target terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
425: when the positioning platform judges that the end time of the triggering service is reached, a positioning session end message (carrying parameters such as SID2) is sent to the reference terminal, the data connection with the reference terminal is interrupted, and the corresponding session resources are released.
Steps 424 and 425 are not in sequence.
