技术领域
本发明涉及一种为患者输送可呼吸气体的装置。
背景技术
为患者输送可呼吸气体的装置一般包括流体发生器(flowgenerator)、输气导管和患者界面。使用前,患者需要手动调节流体发生器的例如治疗压力的运行参数,以与例如所使用的患者界面的外围组件相匹配。例如,现有的流体发生器包括菜单系统,其允许患者通过例如品牌、输送方法等来选择所用的外围组件的类型。一旦患者选定了组件,所述流体发生器可以选择与所选组件最为匹配的流体发生器的合适的运行参数。
本发明提供了对现有装置的改进,以方便所述流体发生器和所述外围组件之间的匹配。
发明内容
本发明的一个方面旨在一种提供便于流体发生器和外围组件之间匹配的结构的识别系统。
本发明的另外一个方面涉及一种与流体发生器一起使用的接合器,所述流体发生器产生供应的增压空气以提供到出口,来用于患者治疗。所述接合器包括可连接于所述流体发生器的出口的导管,以及标识元件,所述标识元件被所述导管支撑并且为可连接于所述流体发生器的特定的外围组件提供唯一标识特征。所述标识特征可传达到所述流体发生器,从而所述流体发生器的合适的运行参数能够由所述流体发生器自动选择以便与特定的外围组件相匹配。

具体实施方式
图1-图9描述了根据本发明的实施例构建的识别系统10。该识别系统10构造为与装置12一起使用,所述装置12将供应的增压的可呼吸空气输送给患者,用于对患者进行例如利用CPAP或无创正压通气(NIPPV)的睡眠呼吸障碍(SDB)的治疗。如图1所示,装置12一般包括流体发生器14、输气导管16和患者界面18。正如下面将详细讨论的一样,识别系统10允许流体发生器14自动识别或辨认一个或几个由患者选定的外围组件,使得流体发生器14的合适的运行参数可由流体发生器14自动选择来与选定的外围组件相匹配。
流体发生器14构造为产生供应的增压空气,以提供给患者用于治疗。流体发生器14包括外壳20和支撑于外壳20内的鼓风机22。如本领域所知的,可对鼓风机22进行操作,以将供应的空气通过一个或几个入口抽吸到外壳20内并在出口24提供增压的气流(见图1、图4和图5)。
所供应的增压空气经由输气导管16输送给患者,所述输气导管16包括连接到流体发生器14的出口24的一个末端26以及连接到患者界面18的相对末端28,如图1所示。
患者界面18与患者面部舒适地接合,并提供密封。患者界面18可以具有任何本领域现有的合适的配置,如全脸面罩、鼻面罩、口鼻面罩(oro-nasal mask)、口面罩、鼻插管(nasal prongs)等等。而且可以在患者面部的期望位置利用任何合适的头网装置(headgeararrangement)30以舒适地支撑患者界面18。
如图2-图4所示,流体发生器14的外壳20包括上壁32、下壁34、和使上壁32和下壁34相互连接的侧壁36。在图示的实施例中,出口24设置在侧壁36之一上。而且,上壁32结合了用于调节流体发生器14的一个或几个参数的手动控制单元38,所述参数如治疗压力。然而,出口24和/或控制单元38可以结合到外壳20的任一壁内。而且应当理解的是,流体发生器14可以包括结合到外壳20内的附加特征,如电源。
如图6所示,流体发生器14包括可接收输入信号并基于输入信号控制鼓风机22的运行的控制器40。输入信号可由控制单元38提供,其具有可由患者手动选择以调节流体发生器14的各种参数的多个控制特征。例如,患者可以经由诸如控制单元38的菜单系统选择所用的患者界面18的类型,以便控制器40能够调节鼓风机出口压力使其与患者所选的患者界面18相匹配。控制器40可包括存储器42,其存储优选的运行参数,用于诸如按品牌或输送方式分类的不同的患者界面。当控制器40接收到来自控制单元38的有关所选的患者界面18的输入信号时,控制器40根据存储器42中存储的适合于所选的患者界面18的运行参数来运行鼓风机22。作为选择,可以通过控制模块38手动输入适合于所选的患者界面18的优选运行参数。
连接器识别
设置识别系统10来允许流体发生器14的控制器40能够自动识别例如患者界面18的一个或几个外围组件,以使患者不需要使用控制单元38。此外,由于识别装置10使流体发生器14选择为所选的外围组件进行了特定优化的运行参数,识别系统10可以使装置12更有效地运行。
在图示的实施例中,识别系统10包括流体发生器所提供的第一连接器部分44(如,参见图4、图5和图6),以及适合与第一连接器部分44可拆卸地连接的第二连接器部分46(如,参见图2、图3和图6-图9)。第二连接器部分46与例如患者界面18的特定的外围组件相关,并包括所述特定的外围设备的唯一标识特征。第一连接器部分44包括可将第二连接器部分46的所述标识特征传达到控制器40的结构,以便控制器40能够识别所述标识特征,并且从而识别相关的外围组件。然后控制器40能够通过诸如存储器42来选择鼓风机22的合适的运行参数,以与所相关的外围组件相匹配。例如,可以控制鼓风机22,使得用于诸如鼻面罩的一组患者界面的所述鼓风机的出口压力相对较低,而用于诸如口鼻面罩的另一组患者界面的所述鼓风机的出口压力相对较高。
如图2、图3和图7-图9所示,接合器48上设有第二连接器部分46,所述接合器48适合于使流体发生器14的出口24和输气导管16的末端26相互连接。特别地,接合器48以导管的形式形成,所述导管包括可连接到出口24的第一末端部分50和可连接到输气导管16的第二末端部分52。如图所示,第一末端部分50的直径大于第二末端部分52的直径。然而,末端部分50、52可以具有任何合适的设置,如相似的直径。此外,为便于连接,可在第一和第二末端部分50、52之间设置形式为间隔轮廓肋(spaced contoured ribs)的夹紧部分54。
如图所示,第二连接器部分46固定到第一末端部分50上。结果,当接合器48与出口24连接时,第二连接器部分46能够可拆卸地与流体发生器14上的第一连接器部分44连接。图示的实施例中,第一连接器部分44的形式为第一导体,第二连接器部分46的形式为第二导体。而且,第二导体46架设(bridge)形式为电阻的标识元件,所述标识元件为特定的外围组件提供唯一标识特征。
使用时,接合器48与出口24连接,以使第二导体46与第一导体44电连接。图示的实施例中,所述第二导体包括具有轴向延伸开口58的金属销56,并且所述第一导体包括金属销60。金属销60容纳在所述金属销56的轴向延伸开口58内,以电连接第一和第二导体44、46。然而,第一和第二导体44、46可以用任何其他合适的方式电连接。一旦连接,控制器40能够检测架设在第二导体46上的电阻器的电阻。外围组件的电阻是唯一的,因此控制器40能够通过电阻识别特定的外围组件。一旦识别,控制器40能够自动选择与特定的外围组件相匹配的流体发生器14的合适的运行参数。
例如,图10列出了现有的雷斯梅德有限公司出售的三种患者界面。每一患者界面配备接合器48,其具有带唯一电阻值的第二连接部器部分46。图示的实施例中,Activa具有电阻为1欧姆的电阻器,Mirage具有电阻为2欧姆的电阻器,以及UltraMirage具有电阻为3欧姆的电阻器。因此,如果当接合器48及其第二连接器部分46与流体发生器14接合时,控制器40检测到2欧姆的电阻,则控制器40会识别出Mirage被连接到流体发生器14,并选择使Mirage工作最优化的鼓风机运行参数。
因此,识别系统10提供“即插即用”设置,其中患者能够简单地将接合器48和其上的第二连接器部分46连接到流体发生器14上,来为诸如患者界面18的特定的外围组件14自动配置流体发生器10。
应当理解的是,装置12的多于一个的外围组件可以配备一个单独的接合器48,所述接合器48为相关的外围组件自动配置流体发生器14。例如,可以给连接到流体发生器14的患者界面18、输气导管16和加湿器(未示出)中的每一个均配备接合器48。如上所述,每一接合器48会具有唯一的标识特征,以便控制器40能够识别哪一个组件连接到流体发生器14上。此外,控制器40能够考虑患者界面18、输气导管16和所述加湿器的每一个的特征来优化流体发生器14的运行。
在一个实施例中,接合器48可以编色码,以与特定的外围组件相对应。而且,所述外围组件可以具有与相应的接合器48相匹配的有色元件。这使接合器48能够容易被识别并与各自的组件相关。例如,患者界面18可以具有附有紫色接合器48的紫色旋转连接器。当紫色接合器48连接到流体发生器14时,控制器40将优化流体发生器14以与紫色患者界面18相对应。此外,或者作为选择,连接器和/或外围组件可以具有诸如形状的触觉指示器,所述形状例如是多边形、六角形等。
当例如患者界面和加湿器的多个外围组件连接到流体发生器14时,可在流体发生器14的出口24堆叠多个接合器48。例如,叠装(piggyback)在与加湿器相关的黄色接合器48上的与患者界面18相关的紫色接合器48将向控制器40发信号通知患者界面18和加湿器连接到流体发生器14上。当进行叠装时,一个接合器48A如上所述连接到流体发生器14,并且第二个接合器48B连接到第一个接合器48A上,以使第二个接合器48B的第一末端部分50可与第一个接合器48A的第二末端部分52连接,并且第二个接合器48B的第二末端部分52可与输气导管16连接,如图11所示。此外,第二个接合器48B的导体46电连接于第一个接合器48A的导体46的后部。在一个实施例中,接合器48B可以构造为不能够容纳下游连接器的插头,只能够插入靠近所述流体发生器的接合器48A中,由此强制限定了连接顺序。然而,为方便连接器装配操作,接合器优选为能够以任意顺序连接。
两个并联电阻器电阻值的叠装值可以通过简单电子技术实现(例如,1/R总=1/R1+1/R2,其中R1为与所述患者界面相关的电阻器的电阻值,R2为与所述加湿器相关的电阻器的电阻值)。其中(1/R总)的值与所述鼓风机设置相关,所述设置调节运行参数以便对于所选患者界面和加湿器的特定特征进行优化运行。此布置避免了使用者介入匹配外围组件,来优化连接系统的性能。
应当理解的是,识别系统10可以具有任何合适的结构使控制器40自动识别所选择的外围组件。在图示的实施例中,利用结合有可标识电阻器的接合器48来识别外围组件。然而,标识元件可以具有任何合适的可标识结构,如阻抗(例如,利用不同尺寸的孔)、微型开关、红外检测器、可变长度的销钉、可变数目的销钉、可变的销钉座以及弹簧承载等。例如,在一个实施例中可以在连接器上结合一个或多个可变长度的销钉46.1,所述连接器既可以结合微型开关(或取决于长度的开关系列),也可运行可变电阻器,所述可变电阻器的值取决于销钉长度,如所述销钉推动运行该可变电阻器的杠杆的距离。位于所述连接器的周围的例如6个开关的一系列的微型开关,可由销钉46.2操作,使其处于工作位置或断开位置,类似于远程操控。参见例如图12和图13。
作为选择,所述接合器和/或如销钉的所述接合器的组件可包括将流体发生器同外围组件编码的编码部分,其与在将照相机胶卷外壳装入照相机时,照相机胶卷外壳对照相机和照相机胶卷编码的方式类似。
在另一实施例中,第二连接器部分46可以设置成与接合器48分离的独立的栓,其可与设在流体发生器14上的第一连接部分44接合。因此可去掉接合器48,而把输气导管16直接连接到流体发生器14的出口24。
控制器40也可以以任何合适的方式识别外围组件。亦即,与外围组件相关的标识特征可以以任何合适的方式传达给控制器40。例如,标识特征本身可以结合到例如患者界面的外围组件中,并通过从所述外围组件延伸到流体发生器14的电线传达给控制器40。作为选择,标识特征可以以无线方式传达给控制器40,如无线射频识别(RFID),红外光谱(IR),棱镜、智能卡(电脑芯片)。在“无线方式”的实施例中,控制器40与适合于接收由与外围组件相关的标识组件发送的信号的接收器连接。
在另一个实施例中,所述外围组件可以包括带有标识信息的条形码,以使在所述外围组件移动经过设在流体发生器14上的条形码读出器时,允许控制器40识别所用的特定的外围组件。
标识组件也可以提供另外的信息,如患者的使用日志、每次使用中所用的组件、服务期限终止指示等等。
流体发生器14可以包括一个或几个指示灯,用于表示外围组件已被识别和/或标识。例如,如图2和图3所示,流体发生器14包括红灯62,其用于表示所述组件还未被识别(见图2),以及绿灯64,其用于表示接合器48已被连接并且相关组件已被识别。因此,所述指示灯可以提供关于连接和鼓风机设置状态的正反馈。不同的灯还可以表示不同的外围设备并确认正确的排列,例如,一个灯用于Activa面罩,另一个灯用于UltraMirage面罩等等。
在图示的实施例中,接合器48必须与出口24和第一连接器部分44正确对齐,使第二连接器部分46与第一连接器部分44连接。然而,可以配置并布置第一、第二连接器部分44、46使得接合器48的方向与出口24无关。此外,尽管相对于所用的特定组件可能未优化运行特性,但是,即使未采用所述识别系统的某一个或多个组件时,所述流体发生器也能继续运行。
识别系统10的优点在于其允许优化流体发生器14关于所连接的外围组件进行优化运行。这样减小了患者介入流体发生器14的设置,从而提高了使用的便利性。
生产线上的泄漏测试
典型地,制造商在生产线上测试所生产的患者界面的泄漏并且要求其处于气流对压力曲线的上和下范围内以确保每一患者界面均能够与流体发生器一起使用。所述气流对压力曲线可以测量预定的如排气口的泄漏,以及非预定的泄漏源。因此,落在图14中的A点的患者界面可以接受,落在图14中的B点和C点的患者界面则不可接受。如果使用识别系统10,则可在例如智能卡的标识组件上提供患者界面的泄漏测试结果,并传递到所使用的控制器40。图15为表示用于流体发生器操作的示例性方法的流程图。根据这一信息,控制器40能够优化流体发生器14以补偿已测量的患者界面的操作参数。亦即,所述患者界面的特定参数在流体发生器14中被补偿。这允许取消所述的一般范围要求,以便也可使用落在图14中的B点和C点的面罩。因此减少了制造设计的限制,以便可以使用由于制造标准的缘故而一般不能使用的患者界面。

Claims (14)
1.一种接合器,其与流体发生器一起使用,所述流体发生器产生供应的增压空气以提供到出口,来用于患者治疗,所述接合器包括:
导管,其可连接于所述流体发生器的出口;以及
标识元件,其由所述导管支撑并为可连接于所述流体发生器的特定的外围组件提供唯一标识特征,
其中所述标识特征可传达给所述流体发生器,以使所述流体发生器的合适的运行参数能够由所述流体发生器自动选择以便与所述特定的外围组件相匹配。
2.如权利要求1所述的接合器,其中所述标识元件为电阻器,并且所述标识特征为电阻值。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的接合器,其中所述标识元件连接到由所述导管支撑的连接器部分,所述连接器部分适合于可拆卸地与设置在所述流体发生器上的连接器部分连接。
4.如权利要求3所述的接合器,其中所述接合器的连接器部分和所述流体发生器的连接器部分为可相互电连接的导体。
5.一种CPAP装置,包括:
流体发生器,其用于产生提供到出口的供应的增压空气;
患者界面,其与患者脸部接合以提供密封;
输气导管,其连接在所述流体发生器和患者界面之间,以将所供应的增压空气从所述流体发生器输送到所述患者界面;以及
如权利要求1所述的接合器。
6.如权利要求5所述的CPAP装置,其中所述特定的外围组件为患者界面。
7.如权利要求5所述的CPAP装置,其中所述合适的运行参数被存储在所述流体发生器的存储器中。
8.如权利要求5、6或7所述的CPAP装置,其中所述出口连接多个接合器,每一接合器分别与各自的外围组件相关。
9.如权利要求8所述的CPAP装置,其中每一接合器的标识元件为电阻器,并且相关的标识特征为电阻值,并且其中对于每一种接合器的组合其接合器的所有电阻值的总和是唯一的。
10.一种标识器,其与流体发生器一起使用,所述流体发生器产生供应的增压空气以提供到出口,来用于患者治疗,所述标识器包括:
标识元件,其为可连接于所述流体发生器的特定的外围组件提供唯一的标识特征,
其中所述标识特征可传达给所述流体发生器,以使所述流体发生器自动地辨认所述特定的外围组件并且自动地选择存储在存储器中的合适的运行参数以与所述特定的外围组件相匹配来优化所述流体发生器的操作,以便补偿所述特定的外围组件的特定参数。
11.如权利要求10所述的标识器,其中所述标识元件由可连接于所述流体发生器的出口的接合器支撑。
12.一种运行流体发生器的方法,所述流体发生器产生供应的增压空气以提供到出口,来用于患者治疗,所述方法包括:
为可连接于所述流体发生器的特定的外围组件提供包括唯一标识特征的标识元件;
将所述标识特征传送给所述流体发生器以使所述流体发生器自动地辨认所述特定的外围组件;以及
基于由所述流体发生器自动选定的合适的运行参数来运行所述流体发生器,所述合适的运行参数与所述特定的外围组件相匹配来优化所述流体发生器的操作,以便补偿所述特定的外围组件的特定参数。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述外围组件为患者界面。
14.如权利要求12或13所述的方法,其中所述特定参数其中之一为泄漏值。
