Abstract

技术领域
本发明有关一种无线通信系统。更明确地,本发明是有关一种运用一物理层(PHY)自动请求重发(ARQ)方案来对该系统实施的修饰。
背景技术
提出在使用一高速下行链路分组接入(HSDPA)应用时,利用单载波-频域均衡(SC-FDE)或正交频分复用(OFDM)方法的宽带固定无线接入(BFWA)通信系统。这种应用将以高速度来发送下行链路分组数据。在BFWA中,一建筑物或整群建筑物是藉助无线式或有线式互相连接,且作为一单一用户站地运作。这种系统的数据量需求极大,使单一站多重用户者需要大带宽。
目前提出的系统是运用一第二层自动请求重发(ARQ)系统。无法成功发送至用户的分组将缓冲暂存且自第二层再次发送。储存于第二层中的数据区块典型地较大、以高信号信噪比(SNR)接收而被发送、藉助一低区块误差率(BLER)被接收且不常被重新发送。此外,第二层ARQ发出信号通常较为缓慢,而需要大的缓冲暂存器及长的再次发送间隔。
发明内容
因此,亟需具有除了第二层ARQ系统以外的变型。
一物理层自动请求重发系统包括一发射器及一接收器。所述发射器处的一物理层发射器是接收数据且将所述接收到的数据格式化成具有一特殊编码/数据调制的数个分组。所述物理层发射器包含n个信道,以发送所述分组及相应未接收到一给定分组的一相对应确认信息而再次发送分组。所述发射器中的一适应性调制及编码控制器是收集再次发送的统计且使用所述收集到的统计来调整所述特殊编码/数据调制。所述接收器具有一物理层n-信道接收器,以接收所述分组。所述接收器包含一n-信道混合ARQ组合器/解码器,且所述ARQ组合器/解码器是用于组合分组发送、解码分组及检测分组误差。所述接收器包含一确认信息发射器,用于当一分组具有一可接受误差率时,发送对于该分组的一确认信息。所述接收器包含一依序(in-sequence)输送元件,以将可接受的分组输送至较高层。

具体实施方式
图1A与图1B是分别显示一下行链路物理ARQ 10与一向上链路物理ARQ 20。
下行链路物理ARQ 10包括自设于网络14中的较高层ARQ发射器14a接收分组的一基站12。来自较高层ARQ发射器14a的分组将施加至基站12中的物理层ARQ发射器12a。物理层ARQ发射器12a是藉助一前向纠错(FEC)编码、附加误差检查序列(ECS)、藉由适应性调制及编码(AMC)控制器12c导引且使用二元相移键控(BPSK)、正交相移键控(QPSK)、或m元正交振幅调制(亦即16-QAM或64-QAM)来调制数据。此外,对于正交频分复用接入(OFDMA),物理层AMC控制器12c可改变用于运载分组数据的子信道。物理层ARQ发射器12a是藉由开关、循环器(circulator)或双工器12d以及天线13,而经由无线接口4发送分组至用户单元16。倘若必要时,物理层ARQ发射器12a亦暂时地将需要再次发送的信息储存至包含于物理层ARQ发射器12a中的一缓冲暂存存储器内。
用户单元16的天线15是接收分组。分组是经由开关、循环器或双工器16b而输入至物理层ARQ接收器16a中。分组将在物理层ARQ接收器16a中被FEC解码且使用ECS检查误差。物理层ARQ接收器16a接着将控制确认可信息ACK发射器16c,以确认(ACK)接收到具有一可接受误差率的一分组、或着藉由较佳地抑制一确认信息信号或发送一负确认信息(NAK)来要求再次发送。
ACK是藉ACK发射器16c、经由开关16b及天线15而发送至基站12。ACK是藉由无线接口4而发送至基站12的天线13。接收到的ACK是由该基站内的一ACK接收器12b处理。ACK接收器12b是将ACK/NAK输送至适应性调制及编码(AMC)控制器12c以及物理层ARQ发射器12a。AMC控制器12c将利用接收到的ACK的统计来分析连接至用户单元16的信道品质,且可改变后续信息发送的FEC编码及调制技术,这将于后作更详细说明。倘若用户单元16确认了接收到的分组,则在基站12处接收到该ACK时将清除暂时储存于一缓冲暂存存储器中的原始分组,以准备提供次一分组使用。
倘若未接收到任何ACK或接收到一NAK,则物理层ARQ发射器12a将再次发送原始信息或原始信息的选择性修饰型式至用户单元16。倘若可取得,则在用户单元16处,再次发送将与原始发送组合。藉由使用数据备援或选择重复组合,这种技术将有助于接收一正确信息。具有一可接受误差率的分组将传送至较高层16d,以实施更进一步处理。该可接受的接收分组是以与提供至该基站内物理层ARQ发射器12a的数据者相同的数据顺序输送至较高层16d(亦即依序发送)。再次发送的最大次数是限制于譬如介于1至8范围中的一使用者定义整数值。当已尝试最大次数的再次发送后,将清除该缓冲暂存存储器以提供次一分组使用。在该物理层处解码使用小型分组的一确认信息,将可缩短发送延迟及信息处理时间。
由于PHY ARQ是发生于该物理层处,因此一特定信道发生的再次发送次数、再次发送统计将可作为该信道品质的一良好度量基准。使用该再次发送统计,AMC控制器12c将可改变该信道的调制及编码方案,如图2中所示。此外,该再次发送统计可组合譬如区块误差率(BER)及区块误差率(BLER)等其他链结品质度量基准,藉由AMC控制器12c来测定该信道品质且判定是否需要变更调制及编码方案。
为了阐明SC-FDE,可测量发生于一特定信道的再次发送,以产生再次发送统计(60)。关于是否变更调制方案的一决策是利用再次发送统计来实施(62)。倘若再次发送过量,则利用通常使数据传送速率降低的一更强健编码及调制方案(64)。AMC控制器12c可增加扩展因数且使用更多码来传送分组数据。另一选择或附加地。该AMC控制器可由一高数据处理能力调制方案切换至一较低者,譬如由64元QAM至16元QAM或QPSK。倘若再次发送率较低,则切换至一较高容量的调制方案,譬如由QPSK至16元QAM或64元QAM、(66)。该决策较佳地是利用再次发送率及譬如BER或BLER等由该接收器传讯的其他链结品质度量基准两者、(62)。该决策的限制是由系统操作者设定。
对于OFDMA,再次发送的发生是用于监测每一子信道的信道品质。倘若一特定子信道的再次发送率或再次发送率/链结品质指示出不良品质,则可在OFDM频率集合中选择使该子信道无效(64),以排除在某些未来时间周期中使用这种不良品质的子信道。倘若再次发送率或再次发送率/链结品质指示出高品质,则可将先前已无效的一子信道加回OFDM频率集合(66)。
使用再次发送的发生作为AMC基础,将可提供每一使用者弹性分配调制及编码方案、与平均信道状况。此外,再次发送率是对测量误差以及来自用户单元16的报告延迟不敏感。
向上链路物理ARQ 20本质上是相似于下行链路物理ARQ 10且包括一用户单元26,在该用户单元中,来自较高层28的一较高层ARQ发射器28a的分组是发送至物理层ARQ发射器26a。信息是经由开关26d、用户天线25、及无线接口4而发送至基站天线23。AMC控制器26c可相同地藉助使用一信道的再次发送统计来改变调制及编码方案。
相似于图1A中物理层ARQ接收器16a的物理层ARQ接收器22a是判定是否具有一可接受误差率而需要再次发送。确认信息发射器将向用户单元26报告状态,而使物理层ARQ发射器26a再次发送、或另一选择为清除暂时储存于物理层ARQ发射器26a处的原始信息以准备自较高层28接收次一信息。成功接收的分组将发送至网络24以作进一步处理。
尽管为了简化而未显示出,但该系统较佳地是用于一BFWA系统中的一HSDPA应用,然而亦可使用其他实施。该BFWA系统可使用分频双工或分时双工SC-FDE或OFDMA。在这种系统中,基站及所有用户皆位于固定位置中。该系统可包括一基站及众多用户单元。每一用户单元可服务譬如在一建筑物中或数个相邻建筑物内的多个使用者。这些应用将因一用户单元站具有众多终端使用者,而典型地需要一大的带宽。
配置于这种系统中的一PHY ARQ是可由譬如媒体接入控制器(MAC)等较高层穿透。结果。PHY ARQ可结合譬如第二层等较高层ARQ使用。在这种情况下,该PHY ARQ将在较高层ARQ上方减少再次发送。
图3是用于一PHY ARQ30的一N-信道停止及等待结构的附图。物理层ARQ发送功能38可根据其使用下行链路、向上链路、或两者的PHY ARQ而设置于基站、用户单元、或两者中。数据区块34a是来自于网络。网络区块是置于一伫列34中,以在无线接口43的数据信道41上发送。一N-信道排序器36是将区块的数据依序地发送至N个发射器40-1至40-n。每一发射器40-1至40-n皆连结数据信道41中的一发送序列。每一发射器40-1至40-n皆以FEC编码且提供区块数据ECS,以产生分组来AMC调制且在数据信道41中发送。该FEC编码/ECS数据是储存于发射器40-1至40-n的一缓冲暂存器中,以用于可能的再次发送。此外,控制数据是由PHY ARQ发射器38发送出,以使在接收器46-1至46-n处的接收、解调及解码同步。
N个接收器46-1至46-n中的每一个皆是接收其相关时隙中的分组。该接收到的分组将发送至一各别的混合ARQ解码器50-1至50-n(50)。混合ARQ解码器50将判定该接收到的分组的譬如BER或BLER等误差率。倘若该分组具有一可接受的误差率,则将释放该分组至较高阶层以作更进一步处理,且一ACK将由ACK发射器54发送出。倘若误差率是无法接受或未接受到任何分组,则将不发送出任何ACK或将发送出一NAK。具有不可接受误差率的分组将缓冲暂存于混合ARQ解码器50处,而可能在后续中与一再次发送的分组组合。
使用加速码(turbo code)来组合分组的一方法如下。倘若接收到的一加速编码分组具有一不可接受的误差率,则将再次发送该分组数据以有助于编码组合。包含相同数据的分组是不相同地编码。为了解码该分组数据,将由该加速解码器处理两分组,以复原原始数据。由于第二分组具有一不同的编码,因此其软符号(soft symbol)将映射至解码方案中的不同点。使用具有不同编码的两分组将增加编码区隔及发送区隔,以改善总BER。在另一方法中是传输发送相同信号。两接收到的分组是利用一最大比率的符号组合来组合。接着再解码该组合信号。
每一接收器46-1至46-n的ACK是在一快速反馈信道(FFC)45中传送。快速反馈信道(FFC)45较佳地是一低延迟时间信道。对于一分时双工系统,可在上游与下游发送之间的无功周期中发送ACK。FFC45较佳地是覆盖其他同频带发送的一低速度、高带宽码分复用接入(CDMA)信道。选择FFC CDMA码及调制,以使对其他同频带发送的干扰最小化。为了增大这种FFC45的容量,可使用多重码。
ACK接收器56是检测ACK且指示相对应的发射器40-1至40-n是否已接收到ACK。倘若未接收到ACK,则将再次发送分组。再次发送的分组可藉由AMC控制器12c、26c的指引而具有一不同的调制及编码方案。倘若已接收到ACK,则发射器40-1至40-n将自缓冲暂存器中清除先前分组且接受一后续分组以实施发送。
发射器及接收器的数量N是根据譬如信道容量及ACK相应时间等各种设计考虑为基础。对于上述的较佳系统而言,较佳地是利用一2-信道结构,且具有偶数与奇数个发射器及接收器。
相较于仅使用较高层ARQ的一系统,较佳具体实施例的PHY ARQ技术是提供一7db增益的信号信噪比(SNR)。这是因为其操作于较单独实施较高层AQR者更高的区块误差率(BLER)(5%至20%BLER)且使用更小的第一层区块尺寸。减低的SNR需求允许:藉由运用一适应性调制及编码(AMC)技术切换至高阶调制以增大容量;藉由使用较低阶RF(无线电频率)组件及藉PHY ARQ补偿减低的实施性能以降低用户端设备(CPE)成本;增加下行链路范围而扩大胞元(cell)半径;减少基站(BS)中的下行链路功率以使胞元-胞元干扰最小化;以及当运用一多重载波技术时,增加功率放大器(PA)回退(back-off)。
虽然本发明已参照当前的具体实施例来描述,但是本技术领域中的普通技术人员应当认识到,以上的实施例仅是用来说明本发明,在没有脱离本发明精神的情况下还可作出各种等效的变化和修改,因此,只要在本发明的实质精神范围内对上述实施例的变化、变型都将落在本发明权利要求书的范围内。
Claims (14)
1.一种包括一发射器与一接收器以实施物理层自动请求重发的基站,所述基站用以自一较高层ARQ机制接收于多个数据区块中的数据,所述基站包含:
一物理层发射器,用于接收来自所述较高层ARQ机制的所述多个数据区块中的所述数据、用于将接收的所述多个数据区块格式化成多个分组,其中所述多个分组的尺寸小于所述多个数据区块的尺寸,且每一个所述多个分组皆具有一特殊编码/数据调制、用于附加所述误差检查序列、用于发送所述多个分组、用于储存所述多个分组以在组合于所述发射器的一缓冲暂存器中再次发送、用于监测一回复信道以对每个已经接收到的分组接收一确认信息、用于限制重新发送的数目为一操作者定义的整数、用于在达到该整数之后,清除所述缓冲暂存器、且用于因应未接收到相对应一给定分组的一相对应确认信息而再次发送原始或选择性修饰分组;
一确认接收器,用于接收所述相对应确认信息;
一适应性调制及编码控制器,用于收集再次发送的统计且使用该收集的统计来调整所述特殊资料编码/调制;
一物理层接收器,用于解调所接收的分组;
一组合器/解码器,用于缓冲暂存、解码、及检测分组错误差;及

用于将接收的所述多个数据区块格式化成多个发送分组,其中每一所述多个分组的尺寸小于所述多个数据区块的尺寸,且每一所述多个分组皆具有一特殊编码/数据调制
用于附加所述误差检查序列的装置;
用于发送所述多个分组的装置;
用于储存所述多个分组以在组合于所述发射器的一缓冲暂存器中再次发送的装置;
用于监测一回复信道以对每个已经接收到的分组接收一确认信息的装置;
用于限制重新发送的数目为一操作者定义的整数的装置;

一物理层发射器,用于接收来自所述较高层ARQ机制的所述多个数据区块中的所述数据、用于将接收的所述多个数据区块格式化成多个分组,其中所述多个分组的尺寸小于所述多个数据区块的尺寸,且每一个所述多个分组皆具有一前向纠错编码/数据调制、用于附加所述误差检查序列、用于发送所述多个分组、用于储存所述多个分组以在组合于所述发射器的一缓冲暂存器中再次发送、用于监测一回复信道以对每一已经接收到的分组接收一确认信息、用于限制重新发送的数目为一操作者定义的整数、用于在达到该整数之后,清除所述缓冲暂存器、且用于因应未接收到相对应一给定分组的一相对应确认信息而再次发送原始或选择性修饰分组;
一确认接收器,用于接收所述相对应确认信息;
一适应性调制及编码控制器,用于收集再次发送的统计,使用该收集的统计来调整所述特殊资料编码/调制,以及改变用于发送所述多个分组的分支信道;
一物理层接收器,用于解调所接收的分组;
一组合器/解码器,用于缓冲暂存、解码、及检测分组错误差;及
一确认信息产生器,当所述多个分组的其中一个分组具有一可接受误差率时,发送该分组的一确认资讯:及
其中包含所述物理层发送器以及所述确认接收器的一物理层ARQ机制较所述较高层ARQ机制穿透。
14.一种为一基站所利用的物理自动请求重发设备,所述物理自动请求重发机制用以自一较高层ARQ接收于多个数据区块中的数据,所述物理自动请求重发设备包含:
一发射器,包含:
用于接收来自所述较高层ARQ机制的所述多个数据区块的装置;
用于将接收的所述多个数据区块格式化成多个发送分组,其中所述多个分组的尺寸小于所述多个数据区块的尺寸,且每一个所述多个分组皆具有一前向纠错编码/数据调制
用于附加所述误差检查序列的装置;
用于发送所述多个分组的装置;
用于储存所述多个分组以在组合于所述发射器的一缓冲暂存器中再次发送的装置;
用于监测一回复信道以对每个已经接收到的分组接收一确认信息的装置;
用于限制重新发送的数目为一操作者定义的整数的装置;
在达到该整数之后,用于清除所述缓冲暂存器的装置;
用于因应未接收到相对应一给定分组的一相对应确认信息而再次发送原始或选择性修饰分组的装置;
用于收集再次发送的统计的装置;以及
使用该收集的统计来调整所述特殊资料编码/调制的装置;
用于改变分支信道的装置,该分支信道是用于发送所述多个分组;以及
一接收器,包含:
用于接收所述多各分组的装置;
用于每一个所接收的多个分组的解码及检测错误差的装置;
当某一所接收的分组具有一可接受误差率时,用于在所述物理层上产生一确认信息的装置;以及
其中包含所述物理层发送器以及所述确认接收器的一物理层ARQ机制较所述较高层ARQ机制穿透。
