The invention discloses a card edge connector, which comprises a lengthwise insulating body, a plurality of conductive terminals fixed on the insulating body and a grounding piece fixedly held on the insulating body, wherein the insulating body comprises a first side wall and a second side wall which are arranged oppositely and a bottom wall for connecting the first side wall and the second side wall, an upwards-opened clamping groove is formed between the first side wall and the second side wall, the plurality of conductive terminals are respectively arranged on the first side wall and the second side wall, the plurality of conductive terminals comprise a plurality of signal terminals and a plurality of grounding terminals, the grounding piece is arranged on the bottom wall, the grounding piece is provided with a plurality of elastic pins, and the elastic pins are elastically abutted to the corresponding grounding terminals one by one. The grounding piece is arranged on the bottom wall of the insulating body and is provided with a plurality of elastic pins, and the elastic pins are elastically abutted against the grounding terminal, so that the shielding effect of the card edge connector is better.

The second arm and the ground terminal are in hard interference contact, so that the second arm or the ground terminal is easily worn to cause poor contact, and the shielding effect is influenced.
Prior artplease refer to chinese invention patent No. CN106356676A, published in 2017, 1, 25, which discloses an electrical connector comprising two rows of conductors and a butt-joint slot between the two rows of conductors, wherein each row of conductors comprises a signal conductor and a configurable conductor. The configurable conductors are each selectively configurable between a ground state and a signal state to define a ground conductor or a signal conductor, respectively. A ground tie bar extends across the array of conductors. The ground link strip includes a stem portion and a plurality of ground fingers coupled to and extending from the stem portion. The grounding fingers, when present, align with the associated configurable conductors to engage and electrically connect to the configurable conductors. The ground link strip includes a stem portion and a plurality of ground fingers coupled to and extending from the stem portion. The grounding connecting strip is provided with a comb structure. The stem portion is planar and defines a first edge side and an opposite second edge side. The front ground fingers extend laterally from the first edge. The rear grounding finger extends from the second edge side. The front and rear grounding fingers are configured to engage the same configurable conductor at different locations along the length of the configurable conductor. A ground member engages the conductors on only one side of the mating slot and is relatively complex.
There is a need for a card edge connector with simple structure, low cost and better shielding effect.

Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects: the grounding piece is arranged on the bottom wall of the insulating body and is provided with a plurality of elastic pins, and the elastic pins are elastically abutted against the grounding terminal, so that the shielding effect of the card edge connector is better.

Referring to fig. 1 to 4, a card edge connector 100 of the present invention is disclosed, which includes an elongated insulative housing 10, a plurality of conductive terminals 20 fixed to the insulative housing 10, and a grounding element 30 fixed to the insulative housing 10. The insulating body 10 includes a first sidewall 11 and a second sidewall 12 disposed opposite to each other, and a bottom wall 13 connecting the first sidewall 11 and the second sidewall 12. A card slot 14 opened upward is formed between the first side wall 11 and the second side wall 12, and the card slot 14 is used for an electronic card to insert. The plurality of conductive terminals 20 are respectively arranged on the first side wall 11 and the second side wall 12. The first side wall 11 and the second side wall 12 are respectively provided with a plurality of first terminal grooves 110 and a plurality of second terminal grooves 120. The conductive terminals 20 are respectively received in the first terminal grooves 110 and the second terminal grooves 120.
Referring to fig. 5 to 7, the conductive terminals 20 include signal terminals 21 and ground terminals 22. The first terminal grooves 110 accommodate the signal terminals 21 and the ground terminals 22. The second terminal grooves 120 also accommodate the signal terminals 21 and the ground terminals 22. The ground member 30 is mounted to the bottom wall 13. The grounding member 30 is provided with a plurality of elastic pins 312, and the elastic pins 312 are elastically abutted against the corresponding grounding terminals 22 one by one. The grounding member 30 includes a pair of long sides 31 and a pair of short sides 32 connecting the long sides 31, and the elastic pins 312 extend from the long sides 31 respectively. The elastic legs 312 of the pair of long sides 31 elastically abut against the ground terminals 22 of the first sidewall 11 and the second sidewall 12, respectively. The ground terminal 22 includes a body 221 extending vertically, a mating portion 222 extending upward from the body 221, and a soldering portion 223 extending downward from the body 221. The elastic pins 312 elastically abut against the main body 221. The elastic leg 312 includes an inclined portion 313 extending from the long side 31 in an upward inclined manner and an abutting portion 314 extending from an extending end of the inclined portion 313 in an upward direction, and the abutting portion 314 is elastically abutted to the main body portion 221. The elastic legs 312 of the pair of long sides 31 are disposed to be staggered with each other. The long side 31 is further provided with a plurality of holding portions 311, and the holding portions 311 are in interference fit with the insulating body 10, so as to hold the grounding member 30 on the insulating body 10. The holding portions 311 and the elastic legs 312 on the same long side 31 are spaced apart. The long side 31 is a vertical wall and is disposed outside the conductive terminal 20. The bottom wall 13 of the insulating body 10 is provided with a mounting groove 130, and the vertical wall is inserted into the mounting groove 130 from bottom to top. The short side 32 is a horizontal wall and attached to the bottom wall 13.
The transmission speed of the card edge connector 100 in the present invention is at least 16Gbps, so as to satisfy the PCIE 4.0 transmission requirement. Therefore, the card edge connector 100 needs to have a better shielding effect. The grounding member 30 is provided with two rows of elastic pins 312, and the two rows of elastic pins 312 respectively elastically abut against the grounding terminals 22 of the first sidewall 11 and the second sidewall 12 which are oppositely arranged. Compared with the prior art, the card edge connector 100 has the advantages of simple structure, low production cost and good shielding effect.
