化学需氧量(COD)是废水的重要参数并且被高度管制。源自多种工业(例如炼焦、造纸或化学工业)的废水在常规生物处理之后通常尽力满足越来越严格的COD规定。可使用多种深度处理方法,例如臭氧化、Fenton氧化和膜技术。这些方法通常涉及对设备的大量资金投入和高的操作成本。

发明内容
根据本发明的第一方面,提供了一种COD去除混合物,包含:
a)至少一种无机凝聚剂;
b)至少一种有机凝聚剂;和
c)活性炭,

-提供根据第一方面的COD去除混合物;
-将所述COD去除混合物分散在水中以提供COD去除悬浮体;
-向工业废水添加所述COD去除悬浮体以提供反应混合物;以及
-任选地进一步向所述反应混合物添加絮凝剂。
净化意指纯化并除去不期望的组分和物类。
关于COD去除混合物的组分a)至c),COD去除悬浮体可以包含约0.2重量%至约20重量%的COD去除混合物。或者,关于COD去除混合物的组分a)至c),COD去除悬浮体可包含约1重量%至约10重量%的COD去除混合物。

b)约2重量%至约5重量%的至少一种有机凝聚剂,其中有机凝聚剂为聚二烯丙基二甲基氯化铵;
c)约18重量%至约25重量%的平均颗粒尺寸小于约200目(0.074mm)的活性炭;
其中a)至c)中所述的百分率合计达100重量%;并且
其中所述混合物是粉末。
具体实施方式
本发明涉及作为粉末的化学需氧量(COD)去除混合物和这些COD去除混合物用于制备用于净化工业废水(特别是生物处理之后获得的那些废水)的COD去除溶液的用途。
无机凝聚剂
本发明的COD去除混合物包含作为组分a)的至少一种无机凝聚剂。使用无机凝聚剂以通过在可溶大分子与铁或铝离子之间形成螯合络合物来从废水中除去可溶大分子。
在一个实施方案中,COD去除混合物的组分a)的无机凝聚剂为具有铁或铝作为阳离子以及氯离子或硫酸根作为阴离子的无机盐。
在另一个实施方案中,COD去除混合物的组分a)的无机凝聚剂选自:硫酸铁(III)(Fe2(SO4)3)、聚合硫酸铁([Fe2(OH)n(SO4)(3-n)/2]m,其中n<2并且m>10)、氯化铁(III)(FeCl3)、钾矾(KAl(SO4)2)、氯化铝(AlCl3)、水合氯化铝(AlxCl(3x-y)(OH)y,其中x≥2并且3x-y≥1)、及其任意组合。
在一个优选的实施方案中,COD去除混合物的组分a)的无机凝聚剂为硫酸铁(III)或聚合硫酸铁。基于总COD去除混合物,COD去除混合物包含约30重量%至约85重量%的无机凝聚剂,或者约50重量%至约80重量%或者约70重量%至约80重量%的无机凝聚剂。
有机凝聚剂
本发明的COD去除混合物还包含作为组分b)的至少一种有机凝聚剂。有机凝聚剂用于去除腐殖质物质(可能通过阳离子-阴离子电荷相互作用)。
在一个实施方案中,COD去除混合物的组分b)的有机凝聚剂为聚二烯丙基二甲基氯化铵(pDADMAC)。基于总COD去除混合物,COD去除混合物可以包含约1重量%至约10重量%的有机凝聚剂,或者约1重量%至约5重量%的有机凝聚剂,或在另一个实施方案中包含约2重量%至约5重量%的有机凝聚剂。有机凝聚剂还用于将活性炭分散在溶液中从而防止其快速沉降的目的。
活性炭
本发明的COD去除混合物还包含作为组分c)的活性炭。吸收试验没有发现无机凝聚剂和有机凝聚剂对活性炭的吸收速率和容量的不利影响。活性炭粉末的平均颗粒尺寸通常小于约80目,即小于约0.177mm。或者,本发明中使用的活性炭的平均颗粒尺寸小于约170目,即小于约0.088mm,或者在另一个实施方案中小于约200目,即小于约0.074mm。
基于总COD去除混合物,COD去除混合物可以包含约14重量%至约69重量%的活性炭,或者约15重量%至约49重量%的活性炭,并且在另一个实施方案中包含约18重量%至约25重量%的活性炭。
粉末
本发明的COD去除混合物的特征在于混合物是粉末。或者,粉末为不同组分a)至c)的相互作用混合物的自由流动的粉末,其中活性炭颗粒附着至无机凝聚剂和有机凝聚剂的更大颗粒。在一个实施方案中,COD去除混合物是堆积密度为约0.3g/m3至约0.6g/m3的粉末。
本发明的COD去除混合物可以通过使用机械装置(例如,带式共混器(ribbonblender)、搅拌器和均质器)使所有三种组分a)、b)和c)混合来制备。
净化工业废水
本发明的另一方面是一种净化工业废水的方法,其包括以下步骤:
-提供根据本发明的COD去除混合物;
-将所述COD去除混合物分散在水中以提供COD去除悬浮体;
-向工业废水添加所述COD去除悬浮体以提供反应混合物;以及
-任选地进一步向所述反应混合物添加絮凝剂。
术语“净化”通常用于指从废水中除去固体颗粒或悬浮固体的方法。
本发明的COD去除混合物可以容易地分散在水中。在一个实施方案中,关于COD去除混合物的组分a)至c),COD去除悬浮体可以包含约0.2重量%至约20重量%的COD去除混合物,或者约1重量%至约10重量%的COD去除混合物,并且在另一个实施方案中包含约2重量%至约5重量%的COD去除混合物。
在将COD去除悬浮体添加至工业废水之后,和任选地在将絮凝剂添加至反应混合物之后,可以将反应混合物搅拌约10分钟至约60分钟的时间。搅拌之后可以进行沉降过程,所述沉降过程可以持续约2小时至约5小时。所有步骤可以在约5℃至约50℃的温度下进行。
术语“工业废水”相对于源自工业过程以及在一些实施方案中源自炼焦工业、纸浆与造纸工业、和精炼厂的任何废水而使用。在一个实施方案中,工业废水的pH可以为约6至约8。
任选地,可以向包含工业废水和COD去除悬浮体的反应混合物添加絮凝剂。在一个实施方案中,絮凝剂可以选自聚丙烯酰胺。聚丙烯酰胺可以是阳离子型或阴离子型。在一些实施方案中,可以使用阴离子聚丙烯酰胺作为絮凝剂。在一个实施方案中,反应混合物可以包含约0.5ppm至约3ppm的絮凝剂。絮凝剂的添加可以加速沉降过程。
实施例
提供以下实施例以说明本发明,但是不旨在限制权利要求的范围。
实施例1
通过使用带式共混器使不同组分粉末混合来制备以下粉末状COD去除混合物(表1)。

实施例3
罐测试过程:
向工业废水添加5%的COD去除混合物在水中的溶液,然后在快速混合室中迅速混合以使COD去除混合物完全溶解在水中。此外,在COD去除混合物之后1分钟且在慢混合阶段之前30分钟,向反应混合物添加阴离子聚丙烯酰胺的0.2%溶液作为絮凝剂。为了模拟絮凝池,继续更缓慢地混合5分钟至10分钟以使絮凝物颗粒聚集。在完全停止混合之后,使反应混合物如其在沉降池中一样沉降。使用上清液来确定COD含量。
实施例4
哈希(Hach)COD测量过程
将2ml实施例3的上清液添加至哈希COD消化小瓶(低范围3mg/L至150mg/L)并在2小时内加热至150℃。在冷却之后,使用哈希DR 2800分光光度计确定COD含量。
实施例5
下表3详述了实施例1的COD去除混合物对于11个不同废水样品的COD去除效率(在表3中表示为凝聚剂剂量)。使用实施例3的罐测试过程和实施例4的哈希COD测量过程产生表3中所示的结果。使用Nalco的阴离子絮凝剂作为具有30%阴离子电荷的粉末状聚丙烯酰胺。

所有实施例示出在使用本发明的COD去除混合物之后的相当大的COD去除率。
Claims (11)
1.一种COD去除混合物,包含:
a)至少一种无机凝聚剂;
b)至少一种有机凝聚剂;和
c)活性炭;
其中所述混合物是粉末。
2.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述无机凝聚剂为具有铝或铁作为阳离子以及氯离子或硫酸根作为阴离子的无机盐。
3.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述无机凝聚剂选自:硫酸铁(III)、聚合硫酸铁、氯化铁(III)、钾矾、氯化铝、水合氯化铝、及其任意组合。
4.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述无机凝聚剂为硫酸铁(III)、聚合硫酸铁或其任意组合。
5.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述有机凝聚剂为聚二烯丙基二甲基氯化铵。
6.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述活性炭的平均颗粒尺寸小于约170目(0.088mm),或者小于约200目(0.074mm)。
7.根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物,其中所述粉末的堆积密度为约0.3g/m3至约0.6g/m3。
8.一种净化工业废水的方法,包括以下步骤:
-提供根据权利要求1所述的COD去除混合物;
-将所述COD去除混合物分散在水中以提供COD去除悬浮体;
-向工业废水添加所述COD去除悬浮体以提供反应混合物;以及
-任选地进一步向所述反应混合物添加絮凝剂。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中关于所述COD去除混合物的组分a)至c),所述COD去除悬浮体包含约0.2重量%至约20重量%的所述COD去除混合物。
10.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中所述絮凝剂为聚丙烯酰胺。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述聚丙烯酰胺为阴离子聚丙烯酰胺。
