Abstract

Retractable tapes for two or more objects and methods of use thereof are disclosed, the retractable tapes including a rewind feature for each retractable tape. The belt may be locked in place by engaging a single lever. The strap retracts whether or not the spool is locked. Each belt is retracted independently of the other belts so that a dual belt can be used to walk one subject. In some embodiments, a retractable leash for a single object includes a roll-back feature that provides and allows the leash to retract regardless of whether a brake associated with the spool is engaged.
