Abstract

The present invention discloses a resistance spot welding method for sealing a vacuum outlet of an internal pressure vessel. This method uses a SO426 spot welding machine and special process equipment to place a stainless steel ball for sealing on the outlet, and a good spot welding joint can be obtained through secondary resistance spot welding. First, the inner cavity of the internal pressure vessel is evacuated and filled with helium to form an internal pressure of 0.103MPa, and a pre-tightening force is applied by an electrode for welding; then, a top forging force of 0.2-0.3MPa is immediately applied, and welding is performed again according to the same specification. The joints welded by this method do not have any burn-through phenomenon; the repair welding will not cause the steel ball to escape and helium to leak. This method can meet the manufacturing requirements of cadmium casings for nuclear power plants and can be applied in the sealing of internal pressure vessels.
