Description

Method and device for monitoring data flow

The present invention relates to the field of electronic technology, and in particular, to a data flow monitoring method and device.

Background technique

With the development of intelligent mobile terminals and the rapid growth of mobile Internet, mobile terminals with touch screens are used more and more widely, and have become an indispensable part of people's lives. The application functions of mobile terminals are becoming more and more abundant. From the original call and text messages, various applications can be installed, such as browsing information, news, playing videos, reading novels, socializing, sending and receiving emails, playing games, and mobile office. , shopping, etc. In the cellular mobile network environment, the consumption of data traffic by an application is an important aspect that users pay attention to.

In the current intelligent mobile terminal, there are roughly two methods for monitoring data traffic. One is to set the total available data traffic. When the available amount of data flow is reached, the mobile terminal is automatically disconnected from the cellular mobile network, thereby realizing data flow control. Although this method is simple, the user does not need to obtain the data traffic consumption of a single application, and all the connected applications of the user cannot be used. Therefore, some applications that the user does not want to use are consuming traffic, so the user experience very bad. Another control method is that after entering the setting interface, you need to go through multiple operations to know the traffic consumption of all applications in the month and control the corresponding application networking functions. In this case, because there are too many interactive levels set, the user cannot know the traffic consumption as soon as possible, and the operation is not particularly simple and convenient.

BSC2750。2 , a CDMA wireless communication system may include a plurality of mobile terminals 100 , a plurality of base stations (BSs) 270 , a base station controller (BSC) 275 and a mobile switching center (MSC) 280 . MSC 280 is configured to interface with public switched telephone network (PSTN) 290 . MSC 280 is also configured to interface with BSC 275, which may be coupled to base station 270 via a backhaul line. The backhaul line may be constructed according to any of several known interfaces including, for example, E1/T1, ATM, IP, PPP, Frame Relay, HDSL, ADSL or xDSL. It will be appreciated that the system as shown in FIG. 2 may include multiple BSC2750s.

Each BS 270 may serve one or more partitions (or areas), each of which is covered by a multi-directional antenna or antenna directed in a particular direction radially away from the BS 270. Alternatively, each partition may be covered by two or more antennas for diversity reception. Each BS 270 may be configured to support multiple frequency allocations, and each frequency allocation has a specific spectrum (eg, 1.25MHz, 5MHz, etc.).

The intersection of partitions and frequency assignments may be referred to as CDMA channels. BS 270 may also be called a base transceiver subsystem (BTS) or other equivalent terminology. In such a case, the term "base station" may be used to refer generally to a single BSC 275 and at least one BS 270. A base station may also be referred to as a "cell site". Alternatively, each partition of a particular BS 270 may be referred to as multiple cell sites.

As shown in FIG. 2, a broadcast transmitter (BT) 295 transmits broadcast signals to mobile terminals 100 operating within the system. The broadcast receiving module 111 as shown in FIG. 1 is provided at the mobile terminal 100 to receive broadcast signals transmitted by the BT295. In Figure 2, several Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites 300 are shown. The satellites 300 help locate at least one of the plurality of mobile terminals 100 .

In Figure 2, a number of satellites 300 are depicted, but it is understood that any number of satellites may be utilized to obtain useful positioning information. The GPS module 115 as shown in FIG. 1 is generally configured to cooperate with the satellites 300 to obtain the desired positioning information. Instead of or in addition to GPS tracking technology, other technologies that can track the location of the mobile terminal may be used. Additionally, at least one GPS satellite 300 may selectively or additionally handle satellite DMB transmissions.

100。As a typical operation of a wireless communication system, the BS 270 receives reverse link signals from various mobile terminals 100 . Mobile terminals 100 are typically involved in calls, messaging, and other types of communications. Each reverse link signal received by a particular base station 270 is processed within a particular BS 270 . The obtained data is forwarded to the relevant BSC275. The BSC provides call resource allocation and coordinated mobility management functions including soft handover procedures between BSs 270. BSC 275 also routes received data to MSC 280, which provides additional routing services for interfacing with PSTN 290. Similarly, PSTN 290 interfaces with MSC 280 , which interfaces with BSC 275 , and BSC 275 controls BS 270 to send forward link signals to mobile terminal 100 accordingly.

Based on the above-mentioned mobile terminal hardware structure, various embodiments of the mobile terminal and method of the present invention are proposed.

The data flow monitoring method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3 , is particularly suitable for application to the above-mentioned mobile terminal, and the method includes the following specific steps:

Step 301, preconfigure an application program that allows access to the cellular mobile network.

In this step, the user can set the networking mode of the applications in the mobile terminal in batches through the setting interface, or can detect whether there is a preset operation at the icon of the application after the application is installed. Set up via internet. Here, there is no specific limitation on the configuration method.

Step 302 , under the cellular mobile network, collect statistics on the data traffic consumption of the application, and display the data traffic consumption in the icon of the application.

In this step, when the network of the mobile terminal is a cellular mobile network, the data traffic consumed by the application is acquired. The data traffic here can be the data traffic consumption of the current moment relative to a user-defined moment, that is, the real-time statistics of the data traffic consumption of the application from the moment set by the user, and of course the data of the current month. traffic consumption.

Specifically, when the data traffic consumption is displayed in the icon of the application, the display feature corresponding to the data traffic consumption can be obtained according to the preset mapping relationship between the data traffic consumption and the display feature, and the display feature can be displayed in the It is displayed in the icon, and the adopted display features will be described later.

Wherein, if the network type of the mobile terminal is switched, for example, when the WIFI is switched by the cellular mobile network, the data traffic consumption is saved. When it is detected that the mobile network is switched to the cellular network again, the previously saved data traffic consumption is acquired, and accumulated statistics are performed on this basis.

Step 303: Detect whether there is a preset operation at the icon of the application program, and when the preset operation is detected, acquire a switch for controlling the application program to use the cellular mobile network.

Wherein, in step 303, after the icon of the application program is displayed on the main interface, it is necessary to detect in real time whether there is a preset operation at the icon. Here, the detection of whether there is a preset operation at the icon is not limited to the icon after the data traffic consumption is obtained, and may also be at the icon of other applications that do not access the cellular mobile network. That is to say, under any network type, as long as it is detected that there is a preset operation at the icon in the main interface, the switch of the cellular mobile network of the application can be controlled.

Based on the above, in the data flow monitoring method in the embodiment of the present invention, the data flow used by the application is displayed in the icon, so that the user can intuitively understand the data flow consumption of each application on his mobile terminal. In some cases, you can also directly control the connection status of the application's cellular mobile network through the application's icon. It can be seen that the present invention does not require the complicated setting interface to find the networking switch of the application program to control the networking situation, which effectively reduces the user's operation and improves the user's experience of using the mobile terminal.

The data flow monitoring method provided by an embodiment of the present invention is based on the above-mentioned embodiment. In this embodiment, for step 302, the display manner of displaying the data traffic consumption in the icon of the application program is further limited.

Specifically, in this embodiment, the data traffic consumption is displayed in the icon of the application, including the following:

预先设置数据流量消耗与显示颜色的映射关系;Pre-set the mapping relationship between data traffic consumption and display color;

根据该映射关系获取数据流量消耗量所对应的显示颜色;Obtain the display color corresponding to the data traffic consumption according to the mapping relationship;

Fills the display color in the preset wraparound display area around the application icon.

Wherein, in this embodiment, a surrounding display area is set around each application icon that needs to access the mobile network, as shown in FIG. 4 a and FIG. 4 b . Wherein, the width of the surrounding display area can be selected as half of the maximum width of the application icon.

Optionally, when setting the mapping relationship between data traffic consumption and display color, multiple traffic usage ranges are set, and each traffic usage range corresponds to a display color. For example, the first flow usage range is (0,10M], and its corresponding display color is white; the second flow usage range is (10M, 50M], and its corresponding display color is green; the third flow usage range is (50M) , 100M], its corresponding display color is yellow; The 4th flow usage range is greater than 100M, then its corresponding display color is red. According to different display colors, the scope of the data flow that the user is prompted to use.

Optionally, when setting the mapping relationship between the data traffic consumption and the display color, the data traffic consumption can also be determined by changing the shade of a certain color. Specifically, the mapping relationship is a linear functional relationship between the depth of a certain color and the amount of data traffic consumption. According to the linear function relationship, the display color corresponding to the data traffic consumption at a certain moment can be calculated.

It can be known that, in this embodiment, by setting a surrounding display area around the application icon, the display color of the surrounding display area is used to prompt the user how much data traffic is currently being used. Therefore, through the method of the present invention, the user does not need to set the program to view the data flow consumption of each application program, and the data flow consumption of each application program can be intuitively displayed to the user through the icon surrounding the display area, thereby effectively improving the user's Use experience.

The data traffic monitoring method provided by an embodiment of the present invention provides a new implementation manner for displaying the data traffic consumption on the icon of the application in step 302 of the first embodiment.

Specifically, in this embodiment, the data traffic consumption is displayed in the icon of the application, including the following:

预设数据流量消耗量与图标大小的映射关系;The mapping relationship between preset data traffic consumption and icon size;

The size of the icon corresponding to the data traffic consumption is obtained according to the mapping relationship, and the icon of the corresponding size is displayed.

5cm*5cm。Among them, it is necessary to set a maximum icon display area for the icon of each application program, and the minimum display area of the icon is the normal display area commonly used at present. Of course, other display sizes can also be used. For example, the currently used normal display area is 1cm*1cm, and the set maximum display area of the icon, that is, the maximum expansion range, is 5cm*5cm.

Optionally, when the mapping relationship between the traffic consumption and the icon size is preset, the linear function relationship between the associated data traffic consumption and the icon size is used to represent; App icons for mobile web are inflated in size to match their data consumption.

5cm*5cm。Optionally, when the mapping relationship between the traffic consumption and the icon size is preset, the range of the data traffic consumption corresponds to the size of an icon.
