Description

一种用于烟草制品，如卷烟，的过滤嘴，其中含有在加味品中浸渍过的空心纤维。
许多向烟草制品的烟中加味的方法已被人们熟知。例如，在美国专利4，729，391号中、浸渍过加味品的多微孔颗粒被添加到烟卷过滤嘴中。另一个例子中，加味的热塑塑料丝在过滤嘴棒内沿轴向放置。还有一个例子，无壳空心醋酸纤维可用来在烟草中加味，见美国专利4，744，932号，但是，这些方法都没有得到商业上的广泛接受。
商业中现有的含有薄荷脑的烟制品中，或是烟丝或是过滤嘴棒，或是烟制品的内层包装被加味。这些方法的根本缺点在于，包装打开后，烟制品不能在较长的时间内保持所加的味，因此，必须大剂量地添加加味品，使得抽烟时获的满意的加味效果。加味品是昂贵的，因而使得加味的烟制品价格更贵。
烟草制品制造商正在考虑采用除薄荷脑之外的加味品，这些加味品将用于减弱烟制品在口中残留的味道。因此，更多昂贵的加味品可能被采用，从而使的烟草制品价格飞涨。
所以，需要寻求一种在烟草制品中保存加味品的方法，这种方法不仅要减少烟草制品中加味品的含量，而且要使吸烟者感觉舒适。
一种用于烟草制品的过滤嘴，其中含有加味品和热塑塑料制成的空心纤维，加味品弥散在热塑塑料中，空心纤维嵌入过滤嘴棒中。
这些使用了空心纤维的过滤嘴性能优于以往，因为在贮存期间加味品极少可能通过空心纤维挥发掉，而在吸烟时，由于空心纤维有较大的表面与烟接触，同时由于吸烟造成空心纤维内气压较低，使得更多的烟雾通过纤维空腔，因而加味品会很好地从空心纤维中释放出来。
为了描述本发明，附图中画出了目前较好的一种形式，但是应理解本发明并不局限于这种精确的排布和所系手段。
图1是一个与传统的过滤嘴制造设备配合使用的改进型漏斗，通过这个漏斗可以将空心纤维嵌入过滤嘴棒中。
图2至4，2A至4A，以及2B至4B描述了含有加味空心纤维的过滤嘴的几种实施方案。
本发明涉及含有由热塑塑料构成的加味空心纤维的卷烟过滤嘴，加味品浸渍在热塑塑料材料之中，此外，空心纤维由醋酸纤维层包住。
空心纤维由热塑塑料制成。适宜的热塑塑料包括聚烯烃类，聚酯类和聚碳酸酯类，但除去醋酸纤维素。聚酯是较佳的热塑塑料。热塑塑料空心纤维的外径尺寸大约为0.02～0.15英寸壁厚约0.005～0.025英寸。
空心纤维的热塑塑料中浸渍有加味品，加味品最好预先与热塑塑料材料混合，但不一定必须预先混合，通常加味品在热塑塑料中的浓度范围大致在5～25%重量比。适宜的加味品包括薄荷醇、薄荷、胡椒薄荷、可可粉、香草、甘草、柑橘，其他水果加味品，及烟草，上述这些加味品和与热塑塑料掺和在一起的加味品在以下公司有售，诸如纽约市的国际调味和香料公司（IFF）、N.J哈明顿的N.Y和AFT公司。
选择热塑塑料优于选择醋酸纤维，因为加味品在热塑塑料中的可溶性比在醋酸纤维中的更大。因此，加味品不会较早地从热塑塑料中挥发出来，所以它们的作用寿命更长，加味品从热塑塑料中的挥发，不仅受扩散的控制，同时也受可溶性的控制。
理论上讲，加味品在热塑塑料中溶解程度比在醋酸纤维中的要大，因此，加味品的挥发不只受扩散的控制，也受到溶解和扩散的共同控制。这种混合挥发的过程减慢了加味品从空心纤维中挥发。然而延缓挥发反过来并不影响吸烟时加味品的挥发。吸烟前，加味品挥发到空心纤维的空隙中与扩散到热塑塑料中达到平衡状态，由于空心纤维长度与直径比值较大，似乎空心纤维是封闭，的使得在空心纤维开口处加味品的损失率很低，所以这种平衡状态可以持续较长时间。当抽烟者吸气时，烟就穿过过滤嘴和空心纤维的空隙，其中大部分烟从空心纤维空隙中通过，因为这里对烟流动的阻力要小于其他部分，于是烟与空心纤维的接触率很高，烟夹带着加味品，涌入抽烟者口中。当加味品被携带走，扩散到空心纤维中和挥发到空隙中的加味品又会达到一个新的平衡，直到抽烟者下一次吸烟动作。
从两方面来看，增加醋酸纤维外套是有益的、首先因为加味品在醋酸纤维中的溶解度比在热塑塑料中的小，所以醋酸纤维套的作用是起到相对不透气的薄膜的作用，该薄膜使加味品不向空心纤维外表面释放，第二，醋酸纤维套便于将空心纤维与过滤咀棒基体纤维束粘接在一起。
空心纤维由挤压工序制成，例如：见美国专利第4，211，741号Sunlite  Plastics  of  Milwaukee  WI.带有醋酸纤维外层护套的空心热塑塑料纤维则由共同挤压工序制成，见美国专利第4，211，741号Sunlite。通常，加味热塑塑料碎片被挤压成管状，加味的管状纤维被在卷轴上挤压成形，并且在过滤嘴材料填入之前就填装到过滤嘴棒内，护套/内芯条状纤维由热塑塑料内芯与外围的醋酸纤维套共同挤压制成。
当加味的热塑塑料空心纤维制成后，就被送进一台普通的，但是被加以改进增加了一个如图1所示的漏斗10的过滤嘴制作机器。膨胀的过滤嘴纤维束由漏斗面上16处进入，然后两者皆从漏斗窄口处18输出，按已有技术方式进入过滤嘴制作机器（图中未画出）中。
参看图2-4，所示为几种可供选择的过滤嘴结构，在图2中，漏斗的阔口处12进入，空心纤维则通过管14从空心纤维20贯穿整个过滤嘴22长度，这里所谓的“过滤嘴”是由醋酸纤维束，合成纤维，纸，无纺丝网或其混合物制成。也可以是多根空心纤维贯穿整个过滤嘴长度。在图3中，一根空心纤维30部分穿过过滤嘴32，在图4中，多根空心纤维40部分穿过过滤嘴42，上述过滤嘴有时又被称为双过滤嘴，且可以含有纤维束和丝网，所有这些过滤嘴都是由一层封皮裹住的，这已是常识。
本发明还可以在不背离其精神和基本特征的前提下做出其它特殊形式的实施，所以采用从属权利要求来描出其存在，而不仅仅是说明书所讲述的。

Claims (12)

1、一种用于烟草制品的过滤嘴，它包括：加味品；热塑塑料空心纤维，所说的加味品就浸渍在所说的热塑塑料空心纤维中；及过滤嘴棒，所说的纤维就填充在所说的过滤嘴棒中。
2、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的加味品约占所说的热塑塑料重量5～25%。
3、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说加味品选自下述物质，薄荷醇，薄荷，胡椒薄荷，可可粉，香草，甘草，柑橘，其它水果加味品和烟草。
4、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的热塑塑料选自下述材料：聚烯烃类，聚酯类和聚碳酸酯类。
5、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的热塑塑料是聚乙烯。
6、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的纤维的外径大约0.02～0.15英寸，并且所述的纤维有一个厚度大约0.005～0.025英寸厚的外表皮。
7、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所述的纤维贯穿整个所说的过滤嘴的全长。
8、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所述的纤维部分地穿过所说的过滤嘴。
9、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：它包含多根空心纤维。
10、如权利要求1所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的空心纤维被醋酸纤维外层套着。
11、一种用于烟草制品的过滤嘴，它包括：
从聚烯烃类，聚酯类和聚碳酸酯类中挑选出来的热塑塑料制成的空心纤维;
占所述的热塑塑料重量的大约5～25%的加味品，并且所述的加味品从以下物质中挑选：薄荷醇，薄荷，胡椒薄荷，可可粉，香草，甘草，柑橘，其它水果加味品，烟草。
过滤嘴棒，所说的纤维填装在所说的过滤嘴棒中。
12、如权利要求11所述的过滤嘴，其特征在于：所说的空心纤维被套在醋酸纤维内。
