Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to toy vehicles having wheels and having a rotatable journal member supported in part by at least one of the wheels.

Many different examples of this type of toy are known and typically may include a pair of opposing discs which rest on the four wheels of the toy vehicle so that when the wheels turn the discs also turn. This kind of disc is often equipped with animal pictures, and when the child pulls the cart and walks on the ground, the picture will rotate with it.

The object of the present invention is to provide a new form of toy vehicle which stimulates the child's desire to actively play with the toy vehicle to a greater extent than known examples.

The object of the invention is achieved by a toy vehicle constructed in such a way that the rotatable journal member has a face provided with mechanical means suitable for cooperating with corresponding coupling means belonging to an assembly Set of toy parts. The embodiment of the toy vehicle of the invention shown in FIG. 1 comprises a vehicle floor 1 with four wheels 2,3,4,5. Preferably the wagon is provided with coupling means on its upper side and ends to enable other parts belonging to an assembly group to be fitted to the wagon, but also to connect several wagons together to form a train.

In the preferred embodiment, the vehicle is combined with a wheel, generally indicated at 6, having two races 7 and 8 adapted to rest on the respective wheels 3, 4 and 2, 5 respectively. In this embodiment, the rolling ring is circular; it can be seen that the wheels 6 will be rotated by the above-mentioned wheels when the bottom of the vehicle 1 is pulled to walk on the ground. Fig. 2 shows the same toy car as Fig. 1, except that this car is shown from the other side, so the outside of the circular plate 10 can be seen directly. Particularly exciting effects for children can be obtained by means of the above-described embodiment and some additional pluggable toy parts of a type known in practice, as will be explained below with reference to the examples in FIGS. 3 and 4 .

As can be seen from FIG. 3 , a mounting block in the form of a special mask 16 is arranged on the connector 12 and a pluggable toy part 17 in the form of a box used as a hat is placed on the mask 16 . When the cart is pulled across the ground, the toy structure assembled by the child turns so that the child views the toy structure differently than when the toy is stationary. This toy could be made more exciting, even though the child may easily imagine how the structure of the toy transforms at rest; if parts 16 and 17 are changed, the child will be more curious to see what the structure it replaces looks like when it is turned.

Figure 4 shows an example of the parts that can be arranged on the outside of the circular plate 19 due to the presence on the outside of coupling means for cooperating with other toy parts belonging to an assembly group.
