Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a terminal, a network device, and a method for identifying a carrier.
Background
Currently, the carriers defined by the standard include Legacy carriers and NCT (New Carrier Type) carriers, which in turn further include Non-stand alone NCT carriers and stand alone NCT carriers. The Non-persistent NCT Carrier cannot be operated alone, and must perform Carrier Aggregation (CA) processing with a Legacy Carrier or a persistent NCT Carrier, where the persistent NCT Carrier is further added to the Non-persistent NCT Carrier and supports a broadcast mechanism to acquire system information and mobility of a terminal (UE).
In the prior art, the UE may identify the type of the carrier according to the relative location information of the PSS (Primary Synchronization Signal) and the SSS (Secondary Synchronization Signal). For example: in an FDD (Frequency Division Multiplexing) system, the PSS of a Legacy carrier is located on the last OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbol of the 0 th and 5 th subframes, and the SSS is located on the second last OFDM symbol of the 0 th and 5 th subframes. By changing the relative position of PSS and SSS, for example: the PSS and SSS are separated by one OFDM symbol to enable the UE to identify Legacy carriers and NCT carriers. Although the UE can distinguish the Legacy carrier from the NCT carrier according to the detection result of the synchronization signal, it cannot further distinguish the Non-standard NCT carrier from the standard NCT carrier.
