Technical Field
The present invention relates to packet switching technologies, and in particular, to a packet switching device and a service processing method thereof.
Background
In order to improve the service processing capability, the line card slot of the packet switching device is usually designed according to the switching bandwidth (also referred to as backplane bandwidth) of the packet switching device, for example, a packet switching device with a switching bandwidth of 320 Giga (G, Giga) megabits per second (Mbps) is designed to provide 8 line card slots, and each line card slot has a switching bandwidth of 40 gbps.
Because the services in the network are various, including Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) services and packetized services, and the packet switching bandwidth required by each service is different, a conventional packet switching device usually uses a mother-daughter card to provide multi-service support, where a mother card accesses a line card slot and provides a unified service processing interface facing a switching network, and when the mother card accesses a daughter card, a daughter card provides interfaces facing different types of services, currently 1 mother card can support 2 to 4 daughter cards to access, and when the daughter card provides an interface facing a low switching bandwidth service, the processing capability of the slot switching bandwidth cannot be fully utilized, for example, when one line card supports 96E 1 interfaces by means of the mother-daughter card, the upper limit of the line capability of the line card slot is reached, but the switching bandwidth occupied by the 96E 1 interfaces is less than 200, and the slot is far less than the switching bandwidth processing capability of Mbps, the waste of line card slot position exchange bandwidth resources is caused, and the cost for supporting low exchange bandwidth service is increased; and, provide the support to the multi-service through the way of the letter card, if the mother card is invalid, the business that the daughter card that inserts the mother card supports is invalid too at the same time, the reliability is bad.
Therefore, how to ensure that the packet switching device can provide reliable support for multiple services, and make full use of the switching bandwidth resources of the packet switching device to reduce the cost of supporting low switching bandwidth services becomes a problem to be solved urgently.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a packet switching device and a service processing method thereof, so that the packet switching device provides reliable support for multiple services, and makes full use of the switching bandwidth resources of the packet switching device.
In order to achieve the purpose, the technical scheme of the invention is realized as follows:
the present invention provides a packet switching device, comprising: a mother card and an interface card; wherein,
the mother card is used for processing the low exchange bandwidth service of which the bandwidth accessed by the interface card is lower than a preset threshold value;
the interface cards are accessed to the mother card through a bus, the number of the interface cards is not less than four, and the interface cards provide interfaces for low exchange bandwidth services with exchange bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value.
In the above scheme, the number of the mother cards is two, and the two mother cards are respectively a main mother card and a standby mother card; when the master mother card fails, the standby mother card is started to process the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than the preset threshold value, and the original master mother card is changed into the standby mother card;
correspondingly, the interface card performs bus switching when the standby mother card is activated.
In the above scheme, the packet switching device further includes a switch board, the switch board is connected to the mother card through a bus, and the switch board provides an interface facing a low-switching bandwidth service whose bandwidth is lower than a preset threshold;
correspondingly, the mother card is used for converging the low exchange bandwidth service accessed by the interface card to the exchange board.
In the above solution, the packet switching device further includes a line card, configured to converge an accessed broadband service to the switch board through an interface facing the broadband service whose switching bandwidth exceeds a preset threshold;
the line card is connected to the switch board through a bus.
The invention also provides a service processing method based on the packet switching equipment, which comprises the following steps:
when detecting that the master mother card is invalid, starting the standby mother card to process the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth which is accessed by the interface card and is lower than a preset threshold value, so that the original master mother card is changed into the standby mother card;
and bus switching is performed when the standby mother card is enabled.
In the above scheme, the method further comprises:
the mother card converges the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than the preset threshold value, which is accessed by the interface card, to the exchange board;
the switch board is connected with the mother card through a bus, and the switch board provides an interface facing a low-switching-bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value.
In the above scheme, the method further comprises:
the line card converges the accessed broadband service to the exchange board through an interface facing the broadband service with the exchange bandwidth exceeding a preset threshold value; the line card is connected to the switch board through a bus.
The packet switching device provided by the present invention comprises: a mother card and an interface card; the mother card is used for processing low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth accessed by the interface card lower than a preset threshold value; the interface cards are accessed to the mother card through a bus, the number of the interface cards is not less than four, and the interface cards provide interfaces facing low exchange bandwidth services with exchange bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value; therefore, the packet switching equipment provides reliable support for various services, and the switching bandwidth resource of the packet interaction equipment is fully utilized.

The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a component structure of a packet switching device of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the packet switching device includes: a mother card 11 and an interface card 12; wherein,
the mother card 11 is configured to process a low-exchange bandwidth service in which a bandwidth accessed by the interface card is lower than a preset threshold;
the interface card 12 is connected to the mother card 11 through a bus, the number of the interface cards 12 is not less than four, and the interface card 12 provides an interface for low exchange bandwidth service with exchange bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value.
Here, the mother card slot supports not less than four interface cards with low exchange bandwidth service, and the number of the interface cards can be comprehensively determined according to the equipment slot resources and the mother card processing capacity; each interface card is connected with the motherboard through a corresponding bus;
the interface card realizes respective service processing to the outside on one hand, and provides an interface facing to a low exchange bandwidth service with exchange bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value on the other hand, and realizes a protection function with a mother card through a newly added service bus and a protection control signal on the basis of the traditional interface card.
Further, the number of the mother cards is two, as shown in fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic view of a composition structure of the packet switching device according to the second embodiment of the present invention, where the two mother cards are a main mother card and a standby mother card, respectively; the two mother cards form the protection of the main and standby cards, when the main mother card fails, the standby mother card is started to process the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than the preset threshold value accessed by the interface card, and the original main mother card is changed into the standby mother card; correspondingly, the interface card performs bus switching when the standby mother card is started.
Here, when both the mother cards are normal, the master/standby state is determined by presetting or power-on competition.
Further, the packet switching device further includes a switch board 13, the switch board is connected to the mother card 11 through a bus, and a system side of the switch board 13 provides an interface facing a low-switching bandwidth service whose bandwidth is lower than a preset threshold;
correspondingly, the mother card 11 is configured to converge the low-switching-bandwidth service accessed through the interface card 12 to the switch board 13.
Further, the packet switching device further includes a line card 14, configured to converge the accessed broadband service to the switch board 13 through an interface facing the broadband service whose switching bandwidth exceeds a preset threshold;
wherein the line card 14 accesses the switch board 13 through a bus.
Fig. 3 is a schematic application diagram of the packet switching device of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, which is a top view of the device, and it can be seen from the figure that the device can provide up to 28 interface card slots for low-switched bandwidth services with bandwidth lower than a preset threshold, and includes two mother cards for centrally processing low-switched bandwidth services with bandwidth lower than a preset threshold, 14 line card slots for processing broadband services with bandwidth exceeding a preset threshold, and a switch board, a power board, a system interface board, a main control board, a routing area, a fan box, etc.
Based on the packet switching device, the invention also provides a packet switching service processing method, which comprises the following steps: when detecting that the master mother card is invalid, starting the standby mother card to process the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth which is accessed by the interface card and is lower than a preset threshold value, so that the original master mother card is changed into the standby mother card;
and bus switching is performed when the standby mother card is enabled.
Here, the number of interface cards is not less than four;
the interface card is accessed to the mother card through a bus, and the interface card provides an interface facing low exchange bandwidth service with exchange bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value.
Further, the method further comprises:
the mother card converges the low exchange bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than the preset threshold value, which is accessed by the interface card, to the exchange board;
the switch board is connected with the mother card through a bus, and the system side of the switch board provides an interface facing a low-switching bandwidth service with the bandwidth lower than a preset threshold value.
Further, the method further comprises:
the line card converges the accessed broadband service to the exchange board through an interface facing the broadband service with the exchange bandwidth exceeding a preset threshold value; the line card is connected to the switch board through a bus.
