SE DESCRIBEN MÉTODOS PARA PRESERVAR EL POLEN DE MANERA QUE EL POLEN TENGA UNA VIABILIDAD MEJORADA EN COMPARACIÓN CON EL POLEN QUE QUEDA EN CONDICIONES AMBIENTALES. UN MÉTODO DE LA PRESENTE INVENCIÓN INCLUYE SEPARAR EL CONTENIDO DE POLEN MUERTO DE LOS GRANOS DE POLEN VIVOS. EN ALGUNAS REALIZACIONES, LOS GRANOS DE POLEN SE ALMACENAN CON UNA SUSTANCIA QUE IMPIDE QUE EL CONTENIDO DE POLEN MUERTO INTERACTÚE CON LOS GRANOS DE POLEN VIVOS. LA SUSTANCIA PUEDE SER UN SÓLIDO, LÍQUIDO, GAS O UNA COMBINACIÓN DE LOS MISMOS.
