Abstract

Lactobacillus kunkeei and Bifidobacterium asteroides strains are presented and their use to develop a biostimulant probiotic formulation for bees, these strains are deposited in the Chilean Collection of Microbial Genetic Resources (CChRGM) and allow reducing the loads of two important pathogens of bees, Nosema ceranae Fries (Microsporidia) and the deformed wing virus (DWV), which means a 63% reduction in the mortality of bees in the colony infected with both pathogens, increasing the population of bees within the population by up to 160%. colony, compared to those untreated.
