Abstract
Convertidor de fundición para producir metal líquido, que comprende una solera con revestimiento refractario que tiene una parte superior que, en uso, está en contacto con escoria en una zona de escoria en el convertidor y una parte inferior que, en uso, está en contacto con metal líquido en una zona de metal en el convertidor, incluyendo la solera a un enfriador de zona de escoria dispuesto en un revestimiento refractario de la parte superior de la solera para enfriar el revestimiento refractario y b una pluralidad de tuberías térmicas dispuestas en el revestimiento refractario de la parte superior de la solera por debajo del enfriador de zona de escoria para enfriar el revestimiento refractario, estando las secciones superiores de las tuberías térmicas en relación de transferencia de calor con el enfriador de zona de escoria para transferir calor desde las tuberías térmicas hasta el enfriador de zona de escoria y secciones inferiores que se extienden hacia abajo dentro de la parte superior de la solera desde el enfriador de zona de escoria.
