Abstract

A fixed tubular guide (19) carries the minute wheel (3) with its hand (13), the 12-hour tube (8) carrying the 12-hour wheel (7) and hour hand (12), and the 24-hour tube (5) with its hour hand (11) which has less than two-thirds of the length of the 12-hour hand (12). A variable gear (4) provided between the two displays consists of a closely coupled wheel (16) and pinion (17). A clutch (15) inserted between the 24-hour tube (5) and wheel (6) operates by the friction between these parts. A correction wheel (9) which engages the 24-hour tube (5) in the alternative position of the hand-setting knob has a positioning pin (18) in an elongated slot (10).
