Abstract

Novel substituted 6-aryl-4H-s-triazolo[3,4-c]thieno[2,3-e]- 1,4-diazepines of the accompanying formula I, in which the symbols R<1>, R<2> and R<3> have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1, are prepared by reaction of a corresponding 5-aryl-2-hydrazino-3H-[2,3-e]thieno-1,4-diazepine with an acid of the formula R<3>-COOH or a functional derivative of this acid with simultaneous cyclisation. The compounds of the formula I and their acid addition salts have useful therapeutic properties. They have an anxiolytic, antispasmodic and muscle-relaxant action and moreover exhibit an intensive anticonvulsive action.
