Abstract
Pref. the pensicl casing is of vinyl ester resin or polyester resin and contains inert filler material including micro pellets. The casing can be sharpened and processed like wood.
Description

The invention relates to a pencil in which the wood used for wrapping the lead is replaced by a synthetic material.
Pencils consist of a lead and an envelope. This cover is made almost exclusively from wooden boards and has the purpose of aging the lead, preventing it from breaking and: avoiding dirty hands. It is one of the important properties of the wood peeling that it can be sanded. In this way the pencil can be sharpened.
Wood is becoming increasingly rare and expensive. Wood processing is labor-intensive. A lot of wood is lost in the manufacture of pencils. On the other hand, there are many synthetic materials that are being manufactured in ever larger quantities in capital-intensive manufacture. Experience shows that these synthetic materials are stable because of competition and because of the ongoing progress of technology. The synthetic materials can be prefabricated and given no material lost.
The invention is based on the object of creating a power tool whose casing combines the advantages of wood and synthetic material.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the cover consists of a grindable synthetic material.
In the following, an embodiment of the invention is described in more detail: 100 parts of a 5X0 solution of vinyl ester Ha
Styrene mixed with 10 parts of glass fiber, 10 parts of powdered powder, 3 parts of microspheres, 2 parts of activator and 4 parts of catalyst such as methyl, ethyl, ketone, peroxide. The mixture is poured into small boards the size of the wooden boards used in pencil manufacture. After hardening, the synthetic boards are processed like wooden boards.
By using synthetic material instead of wood, the pencil industry is at a turning point. The increasingly rare and expensive wooden boards are being replaced by boards made of stable, synthetic materials.
