Description

The present invention relates to a transparent plate intended to form a support for a photographic or printing print, characterized in that one of its faces is coated with an adhesive layer on which the face of the print exhibiting the image is intended to be applied. Such a plate simultaneously allows these said prints to be placed under glass.

The advantage of this plate when mounting the print on the conventional lamination lies in the fact that the rigidity of the plates dispenses with subsequent mounting on cardboard or another rigid support.

The advantage of this plate over mountings on rigid supports lies in the fact that the print sees its image simultaneously protected by a glass plate. Other advantages lie in the ease of these assemblies with simultaneous placing under glass, the regular spreading of the adhesive layers which requires a large fleet of machines being carried out in a specialized factory.

In a particular embodiment of the plate, it has an adhesive layer covered with a silicone sheet. All you have to do is remove its protective silicone sheet from this transparent and self-adhesive plate and the print can be attached directly to it.
ment by a simple push. If you want an absolutely transparent surface without air bubbles, you can obtain absolutely transparent and uniform contact by using, for example, between the adhesive layer and the face of the image, benzine which then functions as a solvent. glue and as an intermediate contact liquid.

In the case of a dry sticky surface. for example. we use
reads a glue solvent as an activating liquid and as a li
 what about intermediate contact.

As soon as the solvents have evaporated. plate and image will be permanently glued together.

In the case of a plate having for example a layer
hot-melt glue, the print is placed by its face directly on the heat-fusible layer and this sandwich is then passed between the heated rolls of a calender which binds by pressure and by fusion of the glue the print by its face directly on the plate transparent.
