Abstract
In the monitoring of the degree of turbidity of water, e.g. drinking water, using light sent into the water and again collected and measured, whereby the value of the measurement is used to deliver >=1 signal dependent on a predetermined turbidity threshold value, a light beam sent into the water is deflected by reflection and the residual light transmitted to a receiver, the measurement of this light or the evaluation of the measurement in comparison to the intermediate intervals, taking place at short time intervals.
