Description

  

      Zigarettenfilter            Die        Erfindung        betrifft        Zigarettenfilter    mit selektiver,  hochaktiver Wirkung.  



  Es ist     bekannt,    die verschiedensten Materialien, wie  gerippten Zellstoff,     Celluloseacetat,        Aktivkohlen,    als  Filter für Zigaretten     einzusetzen.    Diese gebräuchlichen       Filtermaterialien        sollen    selektiv die     unerwünschten    und       schädlichen        Bestandteile    des Zigarettenrauches     zurück-          halten,    ohne Beeinträchtigung des Geschmackes.  



  Es wurde nun     gefunden,    dass     Kohlenstoffasern    einen  besonders wirkungsvollen Filter für Zigaretten darstel  len. Die     Kohlenstoffasern    können als Watte, Gewebe  und lockere Filze zur Anwendung kommen. Vorzugs  weise werden     Kohlenstoffasern        mit    gestörter     Oberfläche     verwendet, d. h. solche Fasern, deren     Oberfläche    rauh  ist, deren Oberfläche Erhebungen und     Vertiefungen    auf  weist.  



       Die        Kohlenstoffasern    können durch Verkoken von       Polyacrylnitril,    Baumwolle,     regenerierter    Zellulose u. a.  hergestellt werden. Vorzugsweise werden Kohlenstoff  fasern angewendet, die bei der Verkokung von     Poly-          acrylnitril    oder Baumwolle erhalten werden.  



  Die     Kohlenstoffasern    können allein als     Filtermaterial     eingesetzt werden;     vorteilhafterweise    aber werden sie in  Kombination     mit    anderen     Filtermaterialien,    z. B. geripp  tem     Zellstoff,        Zelluloseacetat,    verwendet. Dabei wird der  dem Mund zugekehrte     Teilzweckmässig    aus geripptem       Zellstoff    oder     Zelluloseacetat    bestehen.  



       In    der nachstehenden Tabelle sind Vergleichsver  suche der erfindungsgemässen     Filter    mit herkömmlichen  Filtern dargestellt. Die Art und Menge des verbrauchten  Tabaks waren immer die gleichen,     ebenfalls    die physika  lischen Bedingungen (Temperatur, Luftfeuchtigkeit).

      Cigarette filters The invention relates to cigarette filters with a selective, highly active effect.



  It is known to use a wide variety of materials, such as ribbed cellulose, cellulose acetate, activated carbon, as filters for cigarettes. These common filter materials are intended to selectively hold back the undesirable and harmful components of cigarette smoke without impairing the taste.



  It has now been found that carbon fibers represent a particularly effective filter for cigarettes. The carbon fibers can be used as wadding, woven fabrics and loose felts. Preferably, carbon fibers with a disturbed surface are used, d. H. those fibers whose surface is rough, whose surface has elevations and depressions.



       The carbon fibers can u by coking polyacrylonitrile, cotton, regenerated cellulose. a. getting produced. Carbon fibers are preferably used which are obtained from the coking of polyacrylonitrile or cotton.



  The carbon fibers can be used alone as filter material; but they are advantageously used in combination with other filter materials, e.g. B. geripp system pulp, cellulose acetate, is used. The part facing the mouth will expediently consist of ribbed cellulose or cellulose acetate.



       The table below shows comparative tests of the filters according to the invention with conventional filters. The type and amount of tobacco consumed were always the same, as were the physical conditions (temperature, humidity).
