Description

  

      Dispositif    de     freinage    d'un     véhicule       La présente invention a pour objet un dis  positif de freinage d'un véhicule, notamment  d'un véhicule agricole, caractérisé par deux  flasques montés de façon     angulairement    fixe  sur l'essieu fixe d'une roue, de part et d'autre  d'un disque solidaire en rotation de ladite roue,  ce disque et l'un des flasques étant susceptibles  de coulisser     axialement    sur l'essieu sous l'ac  tion d'un levier de freinage de façon à serrer  ledit disque entre les deux     flasques    et à freiner  la roue avec laquelle le disque est solidaire en  rotation.  



  Le dessin annexé représente, à titre  d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif  objet de l'invention.  



  La     fig.    1 en est une coupe suivant la ligne  <I>1-I</I> de la     fig.    2 ; et  la     fig.    2 est une coupe     suivant    la ligne     11-1i     de la     fig.    1.  



  La forme d'exécution du dispositif repré  sentée au dessin est montée sur un essieu fixe  1 d'un véhicule     agricole    ou d'une remorque, sur  lequel est monté, au moyen de deux roulements  à billes 2 et 3, le moyeu 4a d'une roue 4     munie     d'une jante rapportée 5. Sur l'essieu 1 est  monté librement, dans un logement     annulaire     du corps de la roue 4, un disque 6     entraîné    en  rotation par des bossages périphériques 4b de  la roue coopérant avec des     entailles    6a du dis  que 6. Le disque 6 est pressé     axialement    par    des tiges 7 placées sous l'action de ressorts 8  contre des butées 9 solidaires du corps dé la  roue 4.  



  Sur une portée la de l'essieu est claveté en  11 un     flasque    10 et, du côté opposé du dis  que 6 un autre flasque 12 présentant un évide  ment carré 12a est ajusté sur une portée car  rée lb de l'essieu 1. Le flasque 10 porte sur  sa face plane, en regard du disque 6, des seg  ments 13     connus    dans le commerce sous la  marque       Ferodo         ,    tandis que le flasque 12  porte sur sa face plane, en regard du disque 6,  d'autres segments 14 de même matière.

   Un  levier 15, qui peut être commandé mécanique  ment au moyen d'un câble ou d'une tringle,  est monté pivotant sur un     tourillon    16 traver  sant un bossage 17     solidaire    d'une portée lb  de l'essieu 1 et appuie par son bras 15a contre  le moyeu du flasque 12.  



  Un ressort à boudin 18 monté sur l'essieu  1 entre les     flasques    10 et 12 et à travers une  ouverture centrale du disque 6 tend à     mainte-          nir    les flasques à l'écart du disque     tournant    6.  Un écrou 19, vissé sur une portée filetée de  l'essieu 1, retient     axialement    le roulement à  billes 3 et le     flasque    10 dont le moyeu s'ap  puie contre ledit roulement.  



  Le fonctionnement du dispositif représenté  est le     suivant    : lorsque le conducteur du véhi  cule freine, il déplace le levier 15 dans le sens  de la flèche F. Le bras de levier 15a appuyant      sur le moyeu du     flasque    12 presse ce dernier  contre le disque 6 qui se déplace à l'encontre  de l'action des tiges à ressort 7, 8, jusqu'à venir  en contact avec les segments 13 du     flasque    10.  Le disque 6 se trouve ainsi serré entre     les    seg  ments des flasques 10 et 12, ce qui provoque,  suivant la traction exercée sur le levier 15, un  freinage plus ou moins énergique de ce disque  et, partant, de la roue 4 qui en est solidaire en  rotation.  



  Lorsque la traction sur le levier 15 cesse,  le ressort 18, placé entre les flasques 10 et 12,  repousse ce dernier et l'écarte du disque 6 ; le  disque, soumis à l'action des tiges à ressort 7,  8, s'écarte à son tour du flasque 10 et revient  s'appuyer contre les butées 9, libérant la roue  4 qui l'entraîne en rotation.



      Vehicle braking device The present invention relates to a positive braking device for a vehicle, in particular an agricultural vehicle, characterized by two flanges mounted in an angularly fixed manner on the fixed axle of a wheel, on either side of a disc integral in rotation with said wheel, this disc and one of the flanges being capable of sliding axially on the axle under the action of a braking lever so as to clamp said disc between the two flanges and to brake the wheel with which the disc is integral in rotation.



  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.



  Fig. 1 is a section along the line <I> 1-I </I> of FIG. 2; and fig. 2 is a section taken along line 11-1i of FIG. 1.



  The embodiment of the device shown in the drawing is mounted on a fixed axle 1 of an agricultural vehicle or of a trailer, on which is mounted, by means of two ball bearings 2 and 3, the hub 4a of a wheel 4 provided with an attached rim 5. On the axle 1 is freely mounted, in an annular housing of the body of the wheel 4, a disc 6 driven in rotation by peripheral bosses 4b of the wheel cooperating with notches 6a of said 6. The disc 6 is pressed axially by rods 7 placed under the action of springs 8 against stops 9 integral with the body of the wheel 4.



  On a bearing surface 1a of the axle is keyed at 11 a flange 10 and, on the opposite side of the said 6 another flange 12 having a square recess 12a is fitted on a square bearing lb of the axle 1. The flange 10 carries on its flat face, facing the disc 6, segments 13 known in the trade under the trademark Ferodo, while the flange 12 carries on its flat face, facing the disc 6, other segments 14 of the same matter.

   A lever 15, which can be mechanically controlled by means of a cable or a rod, is pivotally mounted on a journal 16 through a boss 17 integral with a bearing surface lb of the axle 1 and supported by its arm. 15a against the hub of the flange 12.



  A coil spring 18 mounted on axle 1 between flanges 10 and 12 and through a central opening in disc 6 tends to keep the flanges away from rotating disc 6. A nut 19, screwed onto a bearing thread of the axle 1, axially retains the ball bearing 3 and the flange 10, the hub of which bears against said bearing.



  The operation of the device shown is as follows: when the driver of the vehicle brakes, he moves the lever 15 in the direction of arrow F. The lever arm 15a pressing on the hub of the flange 12 presses the latter against the disc 6 which moves against the action of the spring rods 7, 8, until it comes into contact with the segments 13 of the flange 10. The disc 6 is thus clamped between the segments of the flanges 10 and 12, this which causes, according to the traction exerted on the lever 15, a more or less energetic braking of this disc and, therefore, of the wheel 4 which is integral with it in rotation.



  When the traction on the lever 15 ceases, the spring 18, placed between the flanges 10 and 12, pushes the latter back and away from the disc 6; the disc, subjected to the action of the spring rods 7, 8, in turn moves away from the flange 10 and comes back to rest against the stops 9, releasing the wheel 4 which drives it in rotation.

REVENDICATION Dispositif de freinage d'un véhicule, notam ment d'un véhicule agricole, caractérisé par deux flasques montés de façon angulairement fixe sur l'essieu fixe d'une roue, de part et d'autre d'un disque solidaire en rotation de la dite roue, ce disque et l'un des flasques étant susceptibles de coulisser axialement sur l'es sieu sous l'action d'un levier de freinage de façon à serrer ledit disque entre les deux flas ques et à freiner la roue avec laquelle le disque est solidaire en rotation. SOUS-REVENDICATIONS 1. Dispositif suivant la revendication, ca ractérisé par un ressort monté sur l'essieu entre les deux flasques et tendant à écarter ces der niers du disque. 2.
