Description
'' Method of manufacturing an induction motor with a squirrel cage rotor for high speeds. For some purposes, induction motors with squirrel cage rotors for high speeds are required today, that is, motors whose speeds are over 3000 rpm and range up to 40,000 rpm with considerable powers. The production of the cage winding, especially the short-circuit rings, made so far in such induction motors considerable difficulties because of the high centrifugal force stresses that occur in the short-circuit wrestles.
The invention relates to a method for producing a motor mentioned at the beginning and eliminates these difficulties in that the short-circuit rings are introduced into annular grooves provided on the end faces of the rotor by electrical build-up welding.
The invention will be explained with reference to two exemplary embodiments of motors shown in the drawing, of which only one end face is drawn. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, an annular groove 2 is rotated in the end face of the solid rotor body 1, as shown in FIG. 1a, so that the holes 3 (FIG. 1c) for the short-circuit rods 4 at the bottom of the annular groove 2 open. The short-circuit rods 4 are then drawn in such that their ends protrude into the ring groove 2 by a small amount.
The short-circuit ring, for example made of copper, is then produced in that the copper material is melted into the groove 2 with the help of electrical welding as build-up welding, the ends of the short-circuit rods 4 fusing with the material of the short-circuit ring 5.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the annular groove 2 is screwed into the solid press plate 7, since the rotor 6 is laminated. The short-circuit rods 4 and the short-circuit ring 5 are otherwise in the same way in the holes 3, respectively. introduced into the ring hat 2, as in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1.
