Description
Can open by pressing on the can lid. To make it easier to open cans, rotary levers are often provided on the lids, but they do not work reliably.
There have also been proposed cans which can be opened by pressure on the lid because the lid edge can be guided, which, however, requires special manufacturing processes and machines for the lid and increases the production costs.
The present invention concerns a can which can be opened by pressing on the can lid, which is characterized in that the lid can be tilted from the closed position by pressure at a certain point into a position in which it is moved sideways relative to the lower part of the can is raised on one side in order to be easily removed from this position.
In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the can according to the invention are shown. Show it; 1 shows a section through the lower part and lid of the can according to a first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a side view of the can according to FIG. 1, partially opened by pressure on the can lid, and FIG. 3 looks at the lid of this can in the inside, FIG and FIG. 5 shows the lid of a can according to a second embodiment in side view and in a view from the inside, and FIGS. G and 7 the lid of a can according to a third embodiment in section and in view from the inside.
As FIGS. 1 to 3 show, all cans are an ordinary can base made of sheet metal, as it is, for. B. is used for shoe wax. To enable the opening of the can by pressing on the lid 1, the latter is provided with inwardly pressed lugs 2 according to the first embodiment at its edge. These lugs are distributed on the circumference of the lid edge in such a way that more like the third part of the circumference of the lid edge vol) these lugs 2 remain free.
The lugs 2 bil the approximately halfway up the lid edge a seat for the rest of the lid on the edge of the lower part, so that when all the lugs are seated on the said edge through the lid a tight closure is conveyed, the lid does not extend to the can collar 3, if one is provided at all.
If pressure is now exerted on that part of the cover on which the edge is free from these lugs 2, the cover tilts about an axis x, which is defined by the two lugs delimiting the nose-free part of the edge 2 goes through, namely in a position in which it is moved towards the bottom part of the box since downwards and lifted on one side in order to be able to easily remove from this position (Fig.
Using a suitable press, such noses can be pressed into the lids of most existing cans. The part of the lid to be pressed down for the purpose of opening can be identified by a mark in particular.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4 and 5, a groove 4 is pressed into the edge of the lid instead of noses, which, as in the first embodiment, a larger part of the Deckelum catching seat for the position of the lid on the Edge of the can bottom forms.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 7, this seat for the support of the lid on the edge of the lower part of the can is formed by a bracket 5 which is attached to the inside of the lid and extends over the greater part of the lid circumference.
The doses described can, for. B. be produced on the usual machines according to previous methods, the Do sendeckel can be provided with the means for forming the lid seat during production or subsequently borrowed.
