Description

Process for the preparation of a new cellulose solution. It has been found that the oxide dimethylcyclohexylamine oxide has the surprising property of dissolving the cellulose with the formation of solutions of higher or lower viscosity. The Zellu can loose from the solution thus prepared by suitable precipitants, such as. B. M water, alcohol, dilute acids, etc., be deposited again, whereby, depending on the conditions chosen, synthetic threads, films, synthetic materials, etc. can be obtained. You can start from raw, bleached or regenerated cellulose.

These types of cellulose can be used in a colored or undyed state. The cellulose solution can also bezw suitable dyes. Products which can be converted into dyes are added which, for example, are converted into dyes when the cellulose is regenerated.

Such products are, for example, the sulfuric acid esters of the leuco derivatives of vat dyes; also those esters of oxy-group-containing, water-insoluble dyes, the ester residues of which contain solubilizing groups, such as, for example, the ester obtained by allowing chlorides of disulfobenzoic acid to act on the azo dye from diazotized 4 in the presence of pyridine.

4'-dichloro-2-amino-1. 1-, diph-enyl ether and the o-anisidide of 2 .3-oxynaphthoic acid. <I> Example: </I> 10 parts of dimethyl cyclohexylamine oxide and 90 parts of regenerated cellulose in the form of rayon waste are mixed together and kneaded at 80 to <B> 90 '</B>. The cellulose gradually dissolves and the result is a highly viscous, light-colored cellulose solution from which the cellulose can be regenerated.
