Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung des Natriumsalzes einer Wismutkomplegverbindung von Brenzeateeliinarsinsäure. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Na triumsalzes einer Wismutkomplexverbindung von Brenzcatechinarsinsäure, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist,
dass man Lösungen des Natriumsalzes der Brenzcatechinarsinsäure mit Wismutverbindungen unter Neutralhalten der Lösung umsetzt und aus der erhaltenen Lösung das Natriumsalz der Wismutkomplex- verbindung abscheidet.
Das neue Verfahrensprodukt ist ein weiss liches, wasserlösliches Pulver, dessen wässe rige Lösung auf Zusatz von Alkali keine Fällung zeigt, während mit Schwefelwasser stoff Wismutsulfid gefällt wird. Es besitzt Wirkung gegen Trypanosomen und kann entsprechende Verwendung in der Therapie finden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> <B>25,6</B> gr (ljlo Kol) des brenzcatechinsaurerl Natriums werden in 200 cm' Wasser gelöst, mit einer wässerigen Suspension von frisch gefälltem Wismuthydroxyd gelinde erwärmt und mit Natronlauge neutral gehalten. Es wird von Ungelöstem abgesaugt, im Vakuum eingeengt und die konzentrierte Lösung in Aceton eingerührt. Das Wismutkomplexsalz scheidet sich ab. Es bildet ein weissliches, wasserlösliches Pulver. Die Lösung wird auf Zusatz von Alkali nicht gefällt. Schwefel wasserstoff fällt Wismutsulfid.

that solutions of the sodium salt of pyrocatechinaric acid are reacted with bismuth compounds while the solution is kept neutral and the sodium salt of the bismuth complex compound is separated out from the solution obtained.
The new process product is a whitish, water-soluble powder, the aqueous solution of which shows no precipitation when alkali is added, while bismuth sulfide is precipitated with hydrogen sulfide. It has an effect against trypanosomes and can be used accordingly in therapy.
<I> Example: </I> <B> 25.6 </B> gr (ljlo Kol) of sodium catechol is dissolved in 200 cm of water, gently warmed with an aqueous suspension of freshly precipitated bismuth hydroxide and kept neutral with sodium hydroxide solution . Undissolved material is filtered off with suction, concentrated in vacuo and the concentrated solution is stirred into acetone. The bismuth complex salt separates out. It forms a whitish, water-soluble powder. The solution is not precipitated on the addition of alkali. Hydrogen sulfide precipitates bismuth sulfide.
