Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung der Elektroden von Blei-Akkumulatoren. Bei den bekannten elektrischen Akkumu latoren bestehen die Elektroden meist aus massivem Blei oder aus mit aktiver Masse ausgestrichenen Bleigittern. Auch ist es be kannt, Akkumulatorenplatten ganz oder teil weise aus einem Faserstoff, insbesondere Holz oder Rohr, in Vereinigung mit Blei oder einer Bleilegierung herzustellen.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der Elektroden von Blei-Akku- mulatoren durch Vereinigung eines porösen Trägers mit einer Bleimasse und kennzeich net sich dadurch, dass das Aufbringen der Bleimasse auf den porösen Träger der Elek trode durch Aufspritzen erfolgt. Hierbei kann auch der Bleimasseüberzug die für den Zutritt des Elektrolyten zum innern Kern erforder liche Porosität aufweisen, während er ander seits am Träger ausserordentlich fest haftet.
'Zur Erreichung der notwendigen mecha nischen Festigkeit können die so hergestell ten Elektroden zickzackförmig gefaltet oder gewellt ausgeführt oder spiralförmig gewun den sein. Ihre gegenseitige Isolierung kann zum Beispiel mittelst durchbrochener Cellon- streifen bewerkstelligt werden. Zweckmässig wird der poröse Träger der Elektroden vor dem Aufbringen der Blei masse mit sauerstoffhaltigen Bleiverbindungen (zum Beispiel Bleisuperoxyd) vorbehandelt.
Für den porösen Trägerkern der Elek troden kann irgend ein Textilgewebe, etwa aus Wolle, ferner Filz, Furnierholz usw. ver wendet werden.

It is also known to manufacture accumulator plates wholly or partially from a fiber material, in particular wood or pipe, in association with lead or a lead alloy.
The invention relates to a method for producing the electrodes of lead accumulators by combining a porous carrier with a lead compound and is characterized in that the lead compound is applied to the porous carrier of the electrode by spraying. Here, the lead compound coating can also have the porosity required for the electrolyte to access the inner core, while on the other hand it adheres extremely firmly to the carrier.
'In order to achieve the necessary mechanical strength, the electrodes produced in this way can be folded in a zigzag or corrugated form or spirally wound. Their mutual isolation can be achieved, for example, by means of perforated cellon strips. The porous support of the electrodes is expediently pretreated with oxygen-containing lead compounds (for example lead peroxide) before the lead is applied.
Any textile fabric, such as wool, felt, plywood, etc., can be used for the porous support core of the electrodes.
