Description
Use in the intake pipe of carburetor explosion engines to supply additional air to the fuel air wipe. The invention relates to a use in the intake pipe of carburetor explosion engines for supplying additional air, be it fresh air or moist air (air impregnated with water vapor, which is taken from the engine radiator in automobile engines, for example) or both at the same time, for the fuel-air mixture. This insert is designed as a ring and is inserted between two flanges of the mixture intake pipe.
It has' inside an annular channel that can be fed with additional air and whose inner wall is perforated all around so that the additional air is thoroughly mixed with the fuel-air mixture and the fuel is completely atomized.
The insert ring piece is expediently designed in such a way that its perforated wall protrudes beaded into the mixture intake pipe in order to promote the mixing of the additional air with the mixture by constricting the throat. The drawing veranseliauliclit through Fig. 1 in vertical longitudinal section and through Fig. 2 in cross section an Ausfüh approximately example of the subject matter of the invention.
Between the flanges a, b of parts A, B of the Brennstoffluftgemiseh-Ansaugroh res of a carburetor explosion engine, an intermediate flange C is tightly inserted, which see inside with an annular channel c ver is that through the connection e 'with additional air or in the case of automobile engines with humid air (air impregnated with water vapor from the notor cooler: he) or with the at the same time can be fed.
The wall of the hollow space facing the inside of the pipe is provided with holes and roughened into the pipe like a bead to such an extent that the pipe passage is constricted at this point on the pipe. Through the holes mentioned, additional air is sucked out of the cavity c into the intake pipe, where a vortex forms as a result of the constriction, which causes the additional air to be intimately mixed with the fuel-air mixture, the fuel being completely atomized, which increases the Engine performance.
Of course, the aforementioned constriction is not so great that it reduces the amount of fuel and air that accumulates.
