Description
Handle for saucepans or the like. The present invention is a handle for cooking pots, for lids of cooking vessels, etc. The new handle has on the cooking pot, etc. to be attached metal side parts, which carry a role be made of heat insulating material between them. The metal side parts carrying this role are now laterally bulged so far according to the invention that the hand grasping the role only touches the role, but not the metal parts and is thereby secured from injury.
In the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown, namely: Fig. 1, the handle seen from above, attached to a saucepan; Fig. 2 shows the same handle seen from the side; 3 and 4 show the side parts of a second embodiment of the handle.
The handle of Figs. 1 and 2 has two side parts 1, 2 made of metal, for. B. made of aluminum cast on. These parts 1, 2 have tabs 3, 4 by means of which they are attached to the pot wall 5. At the free ends of the side parts 1, 2, an iron pin 6 is fastened by means of screw nuts 7, on which a roller 8 made of heat-insulating material, e.g. B. made of wood, fiber, bakelite, is arranged on. The side parts 1, 2 are strongly bent outwards from the roller, so that a hand holding the roller 8 cannot come into contact with the parts 1, 2.
The design of the handle allows light to carry very hot pots, etc., since the hand does not come into contact with the parts 1, 2, which quickly take on the temperature of the pot. By loosening the nuts 7, the insulating handle can be quickly removed and replaced. Since the parts I, 2 can be arranged at any distance from one another on the saucepan or on the lid, it is possible to use handles of different lengths with the dividers 1, 2 together.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the side parts 1, 2 are not only bulged laterally towards the handle, but are also bent upwards; in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, however, each side is part 9 only to be bent to the side. These side parts 9 are particularly suitable for covers.
