Abstract

Interactive entertainment systems and methods are used to display program information using an interactive media guidance application implemented at least partially on control circuitry.
The control circuitry is configured to display on a display at least one program listing, receive, with the interactive media guidance application, a user selection of the at least one program listing and access over the Internet a web page associated with the selected at least one program listing in response to receiving. The web page includes a selectable option for accessing more information associated with the selected program listing. Provisions may be provided to provide broadcast video to a display, and other provisions may provide additional content to the display. The additional content may be received from an Internet source, and the additional content may overlay the broadcast video.
