Abstract
A method and apparatus for correcting the non-uniformities in the lens assembly of an electrophoresis apparatus is provided.
In one aspect, a look-up table is created based on non-uniformities at different aperture and magnification settings (Figure 5). In another aspect, a calibration standard with a uniform emittance is used to correct non-uniformities. In yet another aspect, a beam splitter or minor is used to create a correction data file for non-uniformities in the light source.
