A method according to claim 16 further comprising: removing the released laminar material portion of the absorbent so as to expose a garment facing surface of the first end portion of the absorbent.

The method of claim 17 further comprising: securing to an underwear the garment facing surface of the first end portion.

A method according to claim 18, wherein the sheet of material includes a first end section, an intermediate section and a second end section and, prior to opening the shell, the first end section of the material. extends over and corresponds in position to the intermediate portion of the absorbent article, the intermediate section of the laminar material extends over and corresponds in position to the second portion of the absorbent article, and the second end section of the absorbent article. laminar material extends over and corresponds in position to the first end portion of the absorbent.

The method of claim 19, wherein the second end section of the laminar material extends above and overlaps the first end section of the laminar material.

A method according to claim 13 further comprising: providing a structured tab arranged to facilitate opening of the enclosure along the line of weakness.

A method according to claim 20 further comprising: providing the housing with side joints defined by a plurality of embossings to thereby seal overlapping portions of the laminar material.

A method according to claim 21 comprising: holding the flap and moving it upward to open the shell along the line of weakness.

The method of claim 12, wherein the line of weakness of the laminar material is substantially aligned with the first fold line.
