Abstract

métodos para tratar um material têxtil para conferir propriedades ret ardantes de chama, e para produzir um composto, e, uso de um aumento na razão atômica de n: p durante a cura de 0,8 ou mais a presente invenção provê um método para o tratamento de material têxtil, de um modo a conferir propriedades retardantes de chama, o método compreendendo os estágios de impregnar o material com uma solução aquosa de um agente de tratamento, que é um composto poli (hidróxiorgano) fosfônio; secar o material impregnado; curar o material seco com amônia, de um modo a produzir um polímero insolúvel em água, curado, que é fixado mecanicamente dentro das fibras do material; oxidar o polímero curado, de um modo a converter o fósforo trivalente a fósforo pentavalente; e lavar e secar o material; em que um ou ambos os estágios ( d) e (e) resultam na coprodução de um efluente aquoso; e em que as condições são controladas, de um modo tal que a razão atômica de n: p presente no material seja aumentada durante o estágio (c) em 0,8 ou mais.
