Abstract

LEVEDURA EXPRESSANDO CELULASES PARA SACARIFICAÇÃO E FERMENTAÇÃO SIMULTÂNEAS USANDO CELULOSE Células hospedeiras compreendendo Kluveryomyces expressando celulases heterólogas produzem etanol a partir de celulose. Além disso, múltiplas células hospedeiras que expressam celulases heterólogas diferentes podem ser cocultivadas e usadas para produzir etanol a partir de celulose. As cepas de levedura e coculturas de cepas de levedura da invenção podem ser usadas para produzir etanol por si só, ou também podem ser usadas em combinação com celulases externamente adicionadas para aumentar a eficácia dos processos de sacarificação e fermentação.
