1/8 “CHAIRS / BANQUETS AND BATHROOM BASE FOR SEAT BATH, FOR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSES” [001] This specification describes a patent application for a chair / stool, in two versions, in addition to of a base for a toilet seat, whose novel constructions, especially due to the angulation of its upper seat edges that delimit a central cavity that receives water, liquid or suitable solution, form anatomical supports for the user to sit in total comfort and perform a therapeutic or sanitizing procedure. in a “sitz bath” system, in the case facing the regions of the buttocks and genital region, below the navel.

STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE [002] It is known in medical circles the so-called sitz bath ”or the so-called trunk and sitz baths, which are carried out in a bathtub or large basin for therapeutic purposes or even for hygiene.

[003] As an example of a sitz bath, the patent document PI 9006135 entitled “Sink bath tub” can be cited, which, briefly, is formed by an adaptable tub to fit over toilets, where, on the bottom receives rubbers so that the contact with the edge of the dishes, gives some flexibility to the bowl and, consequently, greater comfort to the user when sitting. Inside, this vat has drain windows to eliminate excess solution, as well as a sealing device for releasing the solution and cleaning attached to a rope to remove this seal, to prevent the patient from putting his hand in the solution used after bath, to discard the used liquid.

[004] Such baths produce beneficial reactions to the nervous and immune system, acting on the blood circulation and on the metabolism, causing the thermal regulation of the user. The bath

2/8 of the seat acts on the eliminatory organs, activating the expulsion of harmful substances present in the body, especially in the case of the proposed treatment in the buttocks and genital region. The proposed treatment can also be performed in pre- or post-surgical periods.

[005] For this important therapeutic procedure, also called water healing, a bathtub or basin must receive an adequate volume of water that can vary at different temperatures according to the desired benefit or according to the healing therapy of a certain disease or malaise.

[006] Thus, the sitz bath with water between 13 and 24 ° C, for example, is beneficial against mild fevers, inflammation or congestion of abdominal and pelvic organs, hemorrhoids, intestinal gases, sexual impotence, headaches, heat stroke and congestion in the bronchi. Sitz bath with water between 33 and 3 8 ° C is beneficial for example against sensitive hemorrhoids for muscle relaxation or for sedative effect on the nervous system. By using hot water between 38 and 45 ° C for the sitz bath, the user can have benefits against cystitis, painful menstruation and insomnia. [008] In the case of colder waters the user must warm the rest of the body during the bath, drink hot tea or milk, keep the feet under hot water or take other precautionary measures.

[009] In any case, the pelvis is not known to be the ideal receptacle for this type of therapy despite being used normally. The use of the pelvis can really be extremely uncomfortable for certain types of people, who incidentally are the ones who most need this type of therapy, that is, elderly, obese or others who obviously have some health problem, for example in case of bone fractures. In the case of an obese person, for example, it becomes difficult for him to lower and settle himself comfortably in the bowl placed on the floor, being even more difficult also due to the excessive weight, at the moment of getting up. Situations where the person has a fractured limb or in cases of elderly, sick or even in relation to children, there are certain difficulties for users to bend down and accommodate the necessary body parts in the basin, bath and , then get up. Such steps can make the therapeutic procedure uncomfortable. This discomfort can generate impatience and, consequently, rush the user, depriving the procedure of the necessary effectiveness or, at least, discouraging the user from carrying out other sessions that may benefit his health.

PATENT OBJECTIVE [010] Thinking about these problems mentioned above, to make comfortable and encourage the practice of this therapy, which undoubtedly brings benefits to human health, the inventor designed the chairs / stools and base for the toilet in question, reasons for this patent application of invention, which, as main characteristics

[012] In both cases, using chairs or the base, the pieces are specially designed to allow the user to feel and settle in absolute comfort regardless of their physical limitations, whether obese, elderly, sick, children and others, making it more the therapeutic benefits provided by the sitz bath in total hygiene are effective because they can be manufactured in stainless steel, polypropylene, ABS or other suitable materials.

[013] The chairs / stools have legs projected at an angle, being provided with recessed sections that form rails along their height, combined with half-cane profiles allowing perfect fit between them for stacking one piece on top of the other. The base, by its own conformation, already allows overlapping of units

[014] The base is manufactured in a suitable size to adapt to the “standard” or standard toilet, while the chairs can be dimensioned in various sizes to suit the physical structures of patients, whether obese or not.

[032] In accordance with what the attached figures illustrate, the “CHAIRS / BANQUETS AND BATHROOM FOR SEAT BATH, FOR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSES”, objects of this present patent application, constitute a chair (1 ) with version (1a), in addition to a base (2), being designed for the therapeutic practice of “sitz bath”.

[033] The chairs / stools (1), (1a) and base (2) are formed from a seating plane (3) whose edge (4) undergoes a slight inclination directed downwards in order to delimit a central receptacle (5 ), with sloping walls (6), which face the closed bottom (7), both parts (1) and (1a) having recesses (8) on the front of their planes seat (3).

[034] The chair / stool (1) has legs (9) slightly arched, projected from its arms (10) and which are provided with recessed sections, forming tracks (11) along its height.

[035] The chair / stool (1a), in turn, has the front legs (12) perpendicular to the seat plane (3) with a half cane rear profile (13), while its rear legs (14) are inclined backwards and have recessed side sections also forming tracks (15).

[036] Both chairs / stools have a backrest (16), in addition to rear handles (17), while the chair (1a) has only a backrest (16).

[037] The base (2), on the other hand, has a seating plan (3) with an edge (4) also at an angle, converging to the walls (6) of the

7/8 central receptacle (5), also equipped with a closing bottom (7), its seating plane (3), however, surrounded by a contouring external flap (18). Such flap (18) has a slight outward slope, being more accentuated in its front part (19) in the form of a channel, said flap (18) incorporating side handles (20) and later undergoing a cutout (21) for the formation of the part in the form of a stop shoulder (22).

[038] Thus constituted, the chairs / stools (1) and (1a) and base (2) will be used to receive water at an appropriate temperature in their receptacles (5) and allow, by the edges (4) of their seating plans (3 ) that the user sits and anatomically accommodates the buttock supporting the lower thighs on the front recesses (8) (in the case of chairs). In this position, as shown in Figure 6 in particular, the user will be seated in a relaxation point offered by the edge (4), allowing the opening of the genitals, being able to rest or not to rest against the back (16) or to support the hands on the arms (10) of the chair / stool (1). In any case, the user remains with the buttocks and genital region immersed in the water or water solution of the receptacle (5) to perform the sitz bath, accommodated in total comfort offered by the conformation of the edges (4) as shown in figure 7.

[039] As shown in figure 14, in the case of the base (2), the same, through the front channel (19) of its flap (18) can be coupled so as to embrace the edge of the toilet (V) whose upper wall the rear is supported by the stop shoulder (22). In this way, the base (2) partially inserts its receptacle (5) containing water in the toilet, which is used as a support structure for the user to perform his sitz bath.

[040] By the receding sections or rails (11), combined with the arching of the legs (9) the chair / stool (1) can receive the

[041] The same occurs, as seen in figure 15, in relation to the chair / stool (1a) which, by its front legs (12) in half-cane profile (13) embraces the front leg of the subsequent chair, simultaneously with the coupling between rails (15) of its rear legs (14) at an angle.
