Abstract

COMPOSIÇÕES DE ESTABILIZAÇçO DE LACTONA. Esta invenção fornece uma classe nova de compostos e composições e métodos sintéticos relacionados ao antioxidante de lactona 3-arilbenzofuranonas. Os compostos podem ser úteis para impedir amarelamento e deterioração de materiais orgânicos preferivelmente polímeros, como espumas de poliuretano como um exemplo. Os antioxidantes de lactona podem ser poliméricos, e podem também ser líquidos ou pastas em forma física em temperatura ambiente. Embora não seja necessário para suas propriedades de estabilização, as composições podem, em algumas espécies, carregar um ou mais grupos OH primário reativos nas cadeias do polímero. As cadeias podem também conter grupos funcionais de éter de oxialquileno oligomérico e éster alifático, em uma modalidade da invenção.
