Abstract
BARREIRAS ANTIMICROBIANAS, SISTEMAS E MÉTODOS FORMADOS A PARTIR DE ESTRUTURAS POLIMÉRICAS HIDROFÍLICAS TAIS COMO A QUITOSANA. Barreira antimicrobiana compreendendo uma estrutura incluindo um biomaterial de quitosana. As barreiras antimicrobianas podem ser usadas para, por exemplo, (i) estancar, selar ou estabilizar um sítio de lesão tecidual, trauma tecidual ou entrada no tecido; ou (ii) formar uma barreira antimicrobiana; ou (iii) formar um curativo antiviral; ou (iv) intervir em uma desordem de sangramento; ou (v) liberar um agente terapêutico; ou (vi) tratar uma superfície de mucosa; ou (vii) combinações destas. A estrutura da barreira antimicrobiana pode ser densificada por compressão.
