Abstract

COMPOSIçãO REPELENTE DE INSETOS. Dihidronapetalactona, componente natural menor do óleo essencial de erva dos gatos (Nepeta spp), tal como Nepeta cataria, foi identificada como um composto repelente de insetos eficaz. A síntese de dihidronapetalactona pode ser atingida por meio da hidrogenação da nepetalactona, o componente principal de óleos essenciais de erva dos gatos. Tal composto e suas composições, que também possuem propriedades de fragrância, podem ser utilizados comercialmente por suas propriedades repelentes de insetos.
